It wouldn’t let me submit this on the website so I’m leaving this here in hopes it gets to who it needs to. I’ll start off by saying I’m a regular here and do not know anyone here personally. Last night I took my children to dinner and sat behind an unruly table of an old woman, her husband and her teenage grandson. She demanded they make her some random plate that wasn’t even on the menu. They were all already busy. She proceeded to curse her waitress out and the woman manager as much as she could and degraded them and said the nastiest stuff. Repeating “do I need to go in that kitchen and do everything myself?” When her visible health problems wouldn’t even allow her to walk 4 minutes without needing to sit down. She called them all sorts of names and tried to raise her voice as loud as she could to get a rise out of them. At this point, this was apparently the second or third plate they had brought out to try and appease her. While she was saying all of these nasty things, they were very professional in how they handled it. So when that one wasn’t good enough the woman manager went to get the manager above her. He informed the woman that they have been trying to figure out how to make her plate but they’re not understanding exactly what it is she wants and that he would appreciate if she did not talk to his staff the way she was and upsetting other customers. I was listening and even I couldn’t understand what the hell she wanted. When I told the waitress (which was also my waitress) that she was doing a great job the lady craned her neck and told said “f you” to me for giving the girl praise. Regardless, there’s absolutely no reason to treat humans that way that didn’t do it to you first. Anyway, he was finally able to break down exactly what it is she wanted and brought her food out. The poor waitress had no choice but to finish them out and she kept their refills with a smile on her face the whole time. And as the lady was sitting there eating she was leaving a disgusting review somewhere so here I am. I need corporate to know that this was your classic Karen case and the staff handled it beautifully. I did not catch the woman managers name but the waitress was Victoria and the male manager was John. All three were great in this situation. Thanks...
Read moreThis was the first time my friends and I had been to this particular Olive Garden. It was just convenient because it's so close to the mall. There was a bit of a wait time, which is to be expected on a Saturday. We finally got seated and our waitress's name was Meghan. I'm not sure if she automatically assumed that because we were younger looking that we wouldn't tip well, but we could all tell she was trying her hardest to get away from us. She made it a point to address her other tables first before coming to ours, sometimes she would check on them and completely ignore us. When she did come by, she was obviously in a hurry to get away. The refills took forever, and there were several times my friend had to flag her down and call out to her to even get her attention. The food came out pretty quickly, but I took one bite of my spaghetti and there was a very long blonde hair mixed in with it. I have dark brown hair, it obviously wasn't mine. When we told our server, she didn't really seem to care. She just grabbed my plate and walked off. A few minutes later a different server, who was much kinder, brought me a new plate; but to be honest I didn't even want it at this point and didn't touch it. When Meghan came back, we asked for to-go boxes and she couldn't seem happier. It was the most attention she had paid us the whole night, and she acted like she couldn't wait to get us out of there. She brought the check back with the boxes, and my friend noticed that she had charged us twice for the spaghetti. We had to wait another fifteen minutes just for her to come back so we could ask her to fix it. Once she did, we paid our bill and got the hell out. Not once were we offered an apology, and the bad attitude from our server made it ten times worse. She definitely missed out on a big tip, I've been a server for several different restaurants and I know the struggles of living off of tips. However, the entire time we were treated poorly and the situation was handled the worst way possible. We will definitely never be...
Read moreLet down on cleanliness!! Walked in on weekday at about 8PM to a lot of employees just standing around or on their phones. We waited to be seated at at pretty slow time with no line of people waiting. We finally got taken to our seating area/table and directly in front of the table near the bar had standing water from a glass cup that had previously be dropped and broken. My kids slipped through the puddle thankfully I caught them before falling into it and the left over glass. We then noticed the table floor underneath had not been cleaned probably all day and the glass from the broken cup had been swept underneath our table. We directed the hostess to give us another table and he pointed at the one on the opposing corner of the bar for a party of 5. 2 adults and 3 kids of a military family stationed in the area. Now mind you I am trying to keep this review PG vice letting my words flow without reservation. We then sat down at our new table as the hostess walked away and leaving us to walk through the glass to get our menus, cloth napkins and silverware from the previous table. We retrieved our items and ordered. The only positive thing I can say about the visit is the service from waitress and guy who brought out the food was professional and what to expect from Olive Garden!! This place needs some better supervision at all times of the day not just in the morning and during lunch hours. Somebody is going to get hurt or sick from the substandard restaurant operations!!! We won’t be back to this restaurant and not happy about this as the kids love the chain of restaurants. This happened this week on a weekend a couple days ago. ...
