TLDR: It’s been a month atp since I purchased my mattress and I STILL haven’t received it.
On 10/21 I purchased a mattress from this store at a discounted price. I was told it could be two weeks until I received it. Which was fine at the time because I would not be moving until that timeframe anyway. Well, those two weeks came and went and I heard nothing from anyone about a delivery. I ended up calling the store myself to find out what was going on. Apparently, I was told if you buy a discounted mattress, someone has to return it first, which could take up to a month! You can imagine my surprise, cause I was not made aware of this when I purchased it. But of course there was “nothing” they could do. Later that day I get a text about a delivery through their third party service (which looks like spam, btw.) But this was the only delivery I was waiting on. I called to confirm, and I was told they do not have the mattress, it is just an automated text they set for the delivery date. Smh. Very poor taste of them to do this after telling me they do not have the mattress and they knew I was not happy about it.
A few days later, I get a call that the mattress is at the store and they schedule the delivery for early the next week. The day before it’s supposed to be delivered, they tell me I was not added to the list for delivery and they reschedule me. But I can pick it up at the store if I want to. I paid the delivery fee for a reason: Because I don’t have the ability or means to just pick up an entire mattress. (This is a standard service furniture/appliance stores in general should offer free anyway!)
This process of them rescheduling me because they did not put me on the list has happened four or five times now over the past two weeks. I have memorized the phone number from this store because they have called so many times to tell me I am NOT getting my mattress. They even tried to get me to buy a different, cheaper mattress because of their own negligence! I have been very patient thus far, but currently I am sleeping on the floor of my brand new home because they have not delivered a mattress that I paid for, as well as paying their delivery charge. I bought a sleeping bag and will probably get an air mattress atp because I am starting to feel the effects of sleeping on the floor. Which I should NOT have to do because I spent $3k on a mattress here, SMDH. I threw out my old mattress at my old place because I was expecting to receive the mattress two weeks from the original purchase date. My move-in date was the 16th.
I feel lied to, like I’m being led on. The last call I received was on the 19th. I was told the mattress is in Sherman, and it has to be picked up. But before that the mattress was at the store in Mesquite waiting to be delivered or picked up—so which is it? I believe they sold it to someone else at full price in-between and now I’m just being given the runaround. Which is bs because the purchase has already been made. Now I have to get corporate involved. I should have made this review and called/emailed corporate after the third time they called me to “reschedule”. But I was trying to be nice. Well, this is how they treat nice and patient customers. But I am hoping after this review and phone call/email to corporate I can sleep in my own bed before the holiday. Currently they have me “scheduled” (once again) for a delivery on the 24th. I don’t want free pillows. I have my own pillows. What I don’t have is the mattress I paid for. Read moreVisited the Mattress Firm store in Mesquite near Town East Mall over by Ashley furniture store on 3/21/25. Mattress Firm had some great sales/deals. I was greeted by Sheila whom was very helpful, knowledgeable and had a pleasant attitude. I was also assisted by Everett, whom was nice, friendly and knowledgeable as well. Both Sheila and Everett were a great team. I had lots of questions regarding a twin size mattress that was memory foam and budget friendly, and Sheila was very patient and kind. I did have to return to the store a couple days later after making a final decision on a twin mattress for my father-in-law. Sheila immediately recognized me when I came back to the store, she was very welcoming and helped me to feel confident in my twin mattress decision/purchase. The checkout process was easy and quick. I did have to go the other Mattress Firm location down the road on Town East Blvd near Burger King to pick up the mattress which was not a problem since I was heading that way for something else anyway. At that location I was greeted by Ronnie, who was very cheerful and welcoming. Ronnie looked over my order/receipt, got the mattress (in box) and loaded it into my car, he had a great attitude. We have always purchased our mattresses from Mattress Firm and have never had any issues and have always had a great customer service experience. The reason for the one star is the sales associate not sure what his name was (we were unable to get his name) we visited around the afternoon. We started asking questions and we wanted to start looking at prices and their plans to pay off. Then me and my boyfriend had changed our mind last minute keep in mind we didn’t even start the process to look through credit or checking accs we changed our mind last minute because we wanted to continue to see our options. So we let him know and he said he didn’t understand why we changed our mind and we told him we wanted to keep seeing our options to see if this is the best for us. He continued saying that this was basically the best option in a rude way and saying that we didn’t have as much time as we thought we did to buy a mattress we told him thank you for his time and he didn’t even tell us to have a good day or anything he just let us walk out the door he was very rude the only reason we wouldn’t go back there is because the way he treated us. I just believe there is other ways to talk to customers it doesn’t matter if we change our mind last minute customers should always be right and salespeople should be understanding if we change our mind for whatever reason.
