Miami Velvet — Restaurant in Miami Springs

With our review we want to call the attention of the management of the Miami Velvet as there is a lot of room for improvement of the club to make it the best of south Florida. Miami Velvet is back with SDC and SLS but they do not offer discounts to members like other clubs do. Prices remain the same as usual. BYOB is an excellent feature. Bottles conveniently marked is a good thing they do. Manny the bartender is an amazing professional. NO food and NO breakfast is served on premises. This should be included ASAP, or at least "finger food" should be served. This is one of the many reasons people are leaving to Trapeze. NO wristband is given to distinguish between singles and couples. This needs to be incorporated. People attending are 21 to early 50s. The average is mid 30s. The club is atmosphere is of a sexy dancing club and not of a swingers club. Management needs to look into keeping the club as a swingers club. Some money needs to be invested to make it more attractive and it could become the only true swingers club in Miami Dade area. Think that Miami is an iconic city visited by people from all over the world. Your nearest competitors are in Hollywood, Ft. Lauderdale and Pompano Beach. As for credit cards, In order to protect privacy of the attendees the credit card transactions should be with an anonymous name and the $4 fee eliminated. The 2016 anniversary party was a fiasco. For $209 they could have offered that night a buffet, a cake or pastry maybe a good show. Simply nothing happened. We encourage others to post a review as the existing ones are too old. We are refreshing this review on 7/30/2017 Theme party clothing should be encouraged at minimum. As an example on neon parties almost nobody wears neon. :( WEDNESDAYS: Worst day to go. Horrible Don't even worry about it. On this day only one third of the club is open due to the minimum attendance.

FRIDAYS: From 9:00 pm to 10:00 on you pay $25 to enter if you RSVP. Past 10:00 pm normal rate is charged. Fridays DJ Topo is a great DJ but he needs to keep the party alive, it is understandable the he has to play music for all tastes but if he sees the people going back to their seats, change to something better. People leaves the club upset. XXX videos displayed on the main room are bad quality. Cheap pornography. On this day two thirds of the club is open and the space is good enough for the attendees. Amazing dance floor, 3 poles, lots of space to seat comfortably. An area with a pool table is conveniently located no smoking allowed. The entire club is a non-smoking area. Bed sheets is this area are not replaced soon enough when a couple leaves the room. Fridays single men roaming around could be a real annoyance as some of them do not comprehend that NO means NO. Better control should be established as many single men sneak into the main play room even that a sign on the door clearly says "couples only" some other force door locks to open the private rooms in use. DIRTY bathrooms. No money invested in cleaning the facilities

SATURDAYS The entire club is open meaning all areas. Two DJs gives you choices. The area open on Saturdays has some beds in the dance area but they are too tall and too impractical to be used. Saturdays are for couples only and single women. This is much better than having men roaming around. Theme parties on Saturdays are amazing and the club even brings sexy dancers.

In general I recommend attending the Miami Velvet but could be a hit and miss depending on what you are looking for. Most of the people attending are friendly and some others not at all.

Again I want to encourage attendees to write an honest review. I know for sure the management will pay attention to all recommendations to make the Miami Velvet the best place in south...

My wife and I went here this past Saturday for the first time. It was pretty packed with lots of people standing around, some dancing, and others sitting on the couches near the dance floor.

The clientele seemed to be predominantly Hispanic and in general very attractive. Plenty of eye-candy. Most seemed to be in their 20s and 30s with some older couples mixed in. We didn't notice too many scandalous outfits being worn by the ladies on the dance floor though which we have come to expect from other clubs like this. Most were in regular miniskirts, tight shorts, or jeans.

We were told that play is allowed anywhere in the club at anytime but that it rarely happens outside of the towel room area. On this particular Saturday night in the summer, we didn't notice anything happening on the dance floor that you wouldn't see in a normal dance club. My wife and I tried to get something going, but even she was hesitant about it considering we hadn't even seen anything as simple as heavy petting in this area.

The dance area was nice, and very spacious. The music was incredibly loud and made it very difficult to carry on any conversation, but that seems to be the norm for most places like this. We liked how the couches were large enough to fit more than one couple at a time. This makes starting a conversation much easier, but again the music was so loud it made it very difficult.

We were told that all of the action happens in the Towel Room but that they didn't begin enforcing the towels only rule until 12-1. We walked over there around 12:30 and no one was there. Around 1:15 we checked in again and there were a few people in towels but no enforcement of the rule. Finally around 2 am they began really enforcing the towels only rule. We saw several couples get booted out for coming in fully dressed. We were one of the first handful of couples to enter there. Eventually, more and more couples began to enter.

Some observations of the towel room. Things start very late here (after 2 am). Everyone keeps there towels on. It was like being in a poorly lit day spa. We only saw one other person (a female) not wearing a towel outside one of the private rooms. My wife and I were the only couple brave enough to walk around without the towel covering us up. Also, we noticed many of the girls would keep all of their underwear on under their towels.

We would estimate that about 85% of the couples who entered this area would just walk through, poke their head in the orgy room, then leave, or they were there waiting for one of the private rooms in which they would enter and then promptly shut the door. Only about 15% actually used the "orgy" room and surprisingly even a few of them kept their towels on while doing their thing.

It just seems that the clientele here and the culture in general is very conservative when it comes to nudity and body image. This is just very different from other places we have been.

Overall the club is very clean, and the staff are friendly. The club seemed well kept and was very spacious, and well laid out. The adult movies were of good quality so no complaints there.

We did have a pretty good time and may come back another time to give it...

I am fairly critical in reviewing Miami night clubs, but I must say that my experience at Miami Velvet was superb. I had been to MV as a couple a few years ago to try it out. Last Friday, I decided to go as a single gent. The improvements to the club have been incredible. The front part of the club has been upgraded to double both as a Miami club with all the bells and whistles as well as lounges if you just want to chill. The DJ was on point. The music was on fire with a wide variety from rageaton to hip hop to EDM, so there was something for everyone’s taste. The back half of the club has also seen some major improvements and is way more inviting for those who have never experienced this type of club. It was the perfect setup for “newbie night.” As for the staff, I’ve read some of the reviews here, and it honestly boggles my mind to say that anyone was rude. It is true that in Miami clubs staff tends to be rude. However, my experience at MV was the complete opposite. From security in the front to the bartenders to the bathroom attendant, everyone was very friendly and cordial. A shoutout to Justin as he was the epitome of a host, making it easy for “newbies” to mingle and get to know each other. Overall, I had an amazing time and recommend it to those interested in experiencing an amazing night full...
