Food-5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambiance- 5 ⭐️ Cleanliness-5 ⭐️ Service-3 ⭐️ Prices/value- 4⭐️

The food here is amazing! Excellent, true, Italian cuisine. We came to celebrate my sons birthday. There were 5 of us. The restaurant is small with only about 8-9 tables. They put 2 tables together for us. We arrived at 7:30 on a Tuesday night and there was no wait.

For appetizers we ordered the Burrata Verdi and the arugula salad. Both were very good. We were able to split them amongst the 5 of us and everyone got to have a nice share. The Burrata was exceptionally good and was all gone in minutes! The arugula salad had a little bit too much truffle sauce, but it was still good. We noticed that the other tables were being given focaccia bread, but our waitress had not brought any to our table. We asked her to bring some, but she must’ve forgotten and never brought it. We thought maybe they will bring it with the food, but after the food arrived, still no bread, so we asked another waitress if we could get some focaccia and she brought it to us. She was waiting on the table next to ours. The bread comes in a little brown bag with 4 slices in the bag. But there were 5 of us. So, the bread went quickly as it is VERY GOOD focaccia and went well with all of our sauces. Again, we ask our waitress for some focaccia and again she forgot. Hence, the 3 stars for service. I reminded her again, and she finally brought it. For our main entrees we ordered the beef lasagna, the “Golden Plate”, the porcini mushroom ravioli, the steak Milanese with a side of mashed potatoes, and the spaghetti all’amtriciana. The Golden Plate was large tortellini stuffed with ricotta cheese and served in a truffle sauce with porcini mushrooms.

Everything was excellent! We all shared our dishes with one another. There were a few raviolis and some of the large tortellini that were in the Golden Plate, and my daughters spaghetti leftover, so we asked to get them to go. We waited at least 20 minutes with empty plates before the waitress came to check on us. She never came to offer dessert or coffee. My daughter put her focaccia bread with her leftovers to take home, but the waitress took our plates to pack up our food and then threw away the bread and didn’t pack it. My daughter was very disappointed. I don’t know why the waitress would do that, as I only had half of one of the slices of bread left, but she packed it with my food.

I had two glasses of wine and we had two espresso’s after dinner. Altogether our bill was $189 before tip. I would go back, but I would definitely ask for a different waitress. Everything was great, except the lack of attention. Don’t worry, we...

I really enjoy fresh and authentic pasta dishes, so I was excited to try Luna. It's a small place, built more for takeout with only 4-5 small tables inside. They serve a variety of freshly made pastas by the pound along with different sauces and baked items like empanadas and desserts. They have several dine-in options, mostly pastas, empanadas, desserts focaccia sandwiches, and a few entrees. After being seated, service was nonexistent and took about 15 min to be acknowledged but they were very busy and service was great from that point on. The fresh bread with what I believe was a grilled vegetable spread was phenomenal and reminded me of the grilled zucchini they serve throughout Italy. We ordered the bucatini alla Amatriciana, my all time favorite pasta dish and one that I use to measure the quality of any pasta restaurant that I visit. The pasta itself was fresh and excellent quality. The sauce had a good simple flavor, however I was disappointed that they used pancetta, which was a bit too crispy/overcooked, instead of guanciale which gives the sauce it's signature depth of flavor. It was still a decent dish with high quality ingredients, but missed the mark. The pavlova dessert which was recommended was superb. We stayed and chatted for a while with one of the owners who was very nice and explained a bit more about their fresh pasta selection. Overall, this was a good choice for fresh pasta in a casual atmosphere with reasonable prices. I thought the Amatriciana sauce needed to be improved a bit but I would definitely return to try their other pastas and edit my review accordingly. Very friendly owners. EDIT I returned and once again ordered the Amatriciana, it was much better this time as they now use v traditional guanciale instead of pancetta. Their mushroom ravioli is phenomenal as is their gnocchi a la Sorrentina. The ravioli in sage sauce and the agnolotti osso bucco were also very good. The quality of the pasta was excellent. The prosciutto caprese sandwich on focaccia and empanadas were delicious. Luna has become part of my regular rotation when I'm too lazy to make my own fresh pasta....
