I had a horrible experience at this establishment. The owner (Ani Meinhold) was very rude and unprofessional ! She is a racist!!! I came into her establishment to pick up an order for a Door dash customer , & when I got there I told the Bartender the name of the customer, which he turned around and told the owner, and she completely ignored him. When I seen that 20 minutes had passed. I politely ask the Bartender what was the ETA on the order, and out of know where the owner of the restaurant screamed at me and told me that I shouldn't be asking any questions, and for me to get out of her establishment. I told her that I stood here for 20 minutes and she didn't even acknowledge me. The owner then told me that she doesn't need to acknowledge me and that I need to get out!!!! Not only did she tell me to get out, She walked up to me in my face and jab me in my chest, and continued to scream for me to get out !!! I told her she was unprofessional and that now that she has put her hands on me this is now an assault. I immediately called the cops and made a report of the incident. At this point I will now let the law and God handle this. I was not only humiliated, but I was in shock that a simple delivery pick up turned into this horrific night for me. When this incident occured all I could think about was my family and children and how I couldn't let this complete stranger take me out of character. This is no place for someone one to eat if they're going to be treated less than!!! My advice to you all is not to go to a restaurant where an owner of a establishment can disrespect a customer beacuse of there race! If you are reading this message stay away from this restaurant!!! I am a black woman who got assaulted by the owner of this restaurant. P.S. Don't you be the next victim!!!! Please see pictures of the establishment, and the owner who is sitting on the stool on her phone, with no disregard to how she treated me. Ani Meinhold is not who she potrays to be. I hope that controlling and arrogant attitude of hers don't destroy her, but I hope and pray that she gets better as a person and learns how to treat people better especially as an entrepreneur. The whole point of opening a buisness is to get customers and keep them coming back not push them away. Sometimes you just have to apologize instead of always trying to be defensive Mrs....
Read moreWe arrived without a reservation Friday night and the lady at the please wait here to be seated sign told us to wait for the hostess. Another staff walked by more than once and eventually asked us if we had a reservation. We said no and she said, let me find the hostess. Front desk is a fail. Hostess eventually showed up and again asks us if we have a reservation. After literally waiting at least 10 minutes for someone to show up at the please wait here sign, this is off to a bad start. The google description says that this restaurant serves pho. Then when you are here it has some confusing signs that says no pho, no noodles, 100% conceptual. The vibe of the restaurant was night club. Very dark, very loud. We sit. The menu is ok, not a big variety. We ordered oxtail soup which they tell us is the closest thing to pho they have, some py noodles (wait, the sign said no noodles), and some bao buns. The noodles were ok. The soup smelled fantastic and tasted good, however, extremely salty. The buns were the best part of the dinner even though they served them with mayo-ketchup (really!). Just dip the buns in the broth. Dinner was pricey but we knew that ahead of time so no surprise. Service was poor all around. After what seemed like a very long wait after we are done eating and chatting, we got up and found a staff member and asked if they could find our missing server so we could get the check. Server showed up ready to check us out. They give you a check but it’s so dark it’s hard to read. 20% gratuity is automatically included and the first thing they hand you is a tablet that is asking you tip a percentage or no tip, mind you this would be in top of the 20% but they don’t say that. Paid the check at the table and server proceeded to immediately leave us there and go back to wherever he was previously. We left and another staff member said thanks for coming although I don’t really know if that’s what they said as the night club vibe music didn’t let me hear anything. I would definitely not return. If I wanted a night club with loud music and food as a side note, then I would return. However, some of us just wanted what the google description said, pho. Overall...
Read moreHi, I hope the owner of the restaurant would be taking time to read this review. My friend and I visited the restaurant on Jan 10 Friday around 515pm. My friend arrived at 509pm, standing at the door trying to open the front entrance door but the front door was locked; while he told me that the front desk host was just staring at him. So I called the restaurant while I was finding a parking to make sure the restaurant is open for business. A lady did answer the phone and replied that the restaurant is open. Yet my friend couldn't get in, due to the lady inside the restaurant just staring at him without assisting him to get in.
Upon my arrival, we walked in from the back door to the front entrance area; a short hair blonde host ignored us and served a well dressed older Caucasian man behind us to get him seated first. Meanwhile, we were the first to arrive. We found it disrespectful.
Then we would like to dine in to have dinner. She insisted the happy hours. Yet I would like to be more comfortably seated for dinner on tables and I want to eat dinner, and not on high chairs. I was told by the host, "Right now, happy hours, you guys can only seat either the bar or the high chairs."
So immediately after that, we left. I would think that respect is very basic. Maybe we are not in suit and tires, everyone should be treated with respect and equal.
The atmosphere there is good, I would think. Yet the vibe created by the staff is uncomfortable. The attached photo is how I dressed. I might not dress very fancy to eat some good pho yet we are dressed decent. Plus I wouldn't think there is a dress code to the restaurant.
I highly recommend the owner and the management to look into the attitude of the staff. It will bring more businesses when people feel welcomed and comfortable.
Besides, truly wealthy people are not always wearing suit and ties. And I love a good authentic pho and...
