First off, I'm not sure where the description of the hotel on this site comes from, but this hotel is not "brand new". It's clearly an older hotel that was slightly remodeled at some point. I also don't understand its high reviews on here; it's at a lower end quality of hote --- quite frankly, I can't believe Marriott has their name on this place. A few reasons for my low rating:||||1) At 2:30 AM my first night here, I was woken up by a banging noise. At first I couldn't figure out what it was, but then, after hearing more bangs, I realized a nearby room door was slamming shut repeatedly. This took place for 45 minutes. Some trailer trash next door was giggling and goofing off or whatever and continuously opening and closing their door. Here's the deal: if you're going to have a hotel with heavy doors that automatically slam shut, you should make sure that they're insulated enough to not freaking wake up hotel guests who are sleeping when they slam shut. Otherwise, you should not have heavy doors that slam shut. Secondly, the hotel was less than half filled with Covid going on, so why the few guests that are here were all shoved together in rooms next to each other when half the hotel was empty is rather mind-boggling.||||2) The air conditioner in the room barely works. It's supposed to turn off and on once the room gets to the temperature on the thermostat, but it never does. Additionally, it takes hours to reduce the temperature a few degrees --- I was trying to reduce the temp from 76 to 73 one night and it took over 2 hours. ||||3) There are no black out curtains --- or any curtains for that matter --- on the windows. There are only sheers. The result? All the light from the city comes into your room all night --- and I was on the fourth floor (lower floors must be even more fun; unless maybe they put sheers on the top floor to be cheap). If you're looking to sleep in a dark room, good luck with that.||||4) The TV has a minimal selection of channels I'd expect at a place like Motel 6. There are about 40 channels, made up of news, sports, Showtime, and a few other odd ones like Lifetime nobody watches.||||5) The bathroom has been "updated" to the normal no light standards of hotels these days. One overhead light in the ceiling, and then one of those wall mirrors with lights built in that barely light up the room. Additionally, almost every hotel I've stayed in these days has a night light in the bathroom so when you get up at night you don't need to wake yourself up with a bright light to use the bathroom. Of course, with all the light coming in through the sheers at night, maybe they figured a night light wasn't required.||||6) The bathroom had 2 rolls of toilet paper, both of which were 75% used when I arrived. It's the only hotel I've ever been in that didn't have a spare roll of toilet paper somewhere.||||7) There were several strands of long hair curled up on the bathroom floor.||||On a positive note, the wifi works well and the beds are fairly...

Called the front desk and she asked if we wanted to change rooms and we stated it was late and we had already unpacked everything and could they bring one the next day. Next day, no box. Mentioned it to front desk again, they looked up request, stated they saw request and that I would be rewarded with a discount or reward points for the inconvenience. I said the box could be put in our room anytime during the day while we were skiing. Another day goes by no box. I spoke with front desk and again (even saw the note regarding the box sitting next to the computer) they stated we would get one. Never received. Checked out on Friday (6 night stay) never received the box. After skiing we would sometimes bring our meal back to our room. I don't like to eat in bed, which is why we got the suite so we could sit on the couch and watch tv. Hard to watch tv without the cable box. This wasn't the only issue. Breakfast on Sunday was supposed to be available at 7am. No breakfast. Front desk was trying to get something out for the waiting guests shortly before 7. In a ski town people want to grab breakfast and head out to the slopes early. One day they had breakfast sandwiches that were still ice cold. I think we had one day where everything was okay. Went down one morning a little after 6am for just coffee and there was nothing.Tried calling the front desk twice and no answer. Front desk seems to hide out in the back constantly. Coffee was never consistent. Rarely replenished. Front desk never greeted when coming in. The walls are thin. Major road noise. We woke up at 2:30am with the wind noise from our window and the curtains blowing. Oh, and with checking in they inform you that your room service will not be everyday. I received my bill and we were never given the discount or the rewards as promised on the first day of our stay for the missing cable box...and we ended up with not having one our entire stay after three requests. I finally gave up. I've stayed at several Marriott hotels and I have never left had to leave a negative review but this place...
Read moreThe hotel was easy to get to and check in was easy. The hotel seemed to be clean. Got into our room and it was just a typical room. The fridge was not in working order so I let the front desk know. She stated she would have their engineer check it out (never happened). Second night we went to get into our room and we couldn't get in. Our cards were deactivated. we did not have them next to cell phones or any other device that would deactivate them (they did work at the pool and fitness center though). We (my husband and 2 children ages 2&5) went back down to figure out the key situation. Needless to say, we did this 4 more times. Then the lady from the front desk came up to our room to see what we were talking about. Not only did the keys not work, the door seemed to be jammed. We did not use the deadbolt on the door the previous night before because it seemed to get stuck. we did notify the front desk of this as well. So here it is 1.5 hours(10:30 at night) after dealing with this nightmare, my husband was able to finally get us in. We still weren't able to determine the direct cause of this, but it was beyond frustrating. Not to mention the hallway was as hot as a sauna. I felt horrible for the people in the neighboring rooms. My husband had to physically LIFT THE DOOR WITH THE DOOR HANDLE UP AND DOWN. It made a lot of noise. The pool never had towels stocked so we had to go to the front desk and ask before going to the pool and sometimes we had to wait 15-20 to be helped. The shampoo in our room was empty for 2 days and to get a replacement was like pulling teeth. I understand cutting waste, but if you can't keep them full I would not use the big bottles locked in a shower. Lastly, there were so many animals in the breakfast area. I know they are part of a family but please out of consideration for other guests, please leave them in the room or go back to your room to eat. No one likes to have fur/slobber in...
