Ordered online on 5/8 and after putting in my card info and submitting, it refreshed back to the checkout page so I attempted to call the store to confirm if my order went through, to which I received an automated message of the phone not being in service so I finished the checkout page again. Upon arriving to pick up my food, the worker asked if I had two of the same order and I said no and explained what happened. I asked him if my card was charged twice and he said he didn't know anything about it, so I said no worries, I'll contact corporate, no big deal; but as he was handing my food out the window I tried to let him know their phone wasn't working... However as soon as it was out of his hands and I was in the middle of saying "hey just a heads up-" he had turned his back to me and walked away. Another worker made eye contact with me as I was trying to communicate their phone issue, and he also turned away. I attempted to resolve the issue online and the AI chat robot is so frustratingly unhelpful and there's no option to speak to a live chat rep. Next I tried the cust service phone number, which is pointless because it just sends you a text with a link right back to the AI chat - so I went that route and was told someone would contact me within 48 hours- and it did take the full 48 hours. So I got the email on 5/10, then decided to wait a couple days to see if one would fall off and it didn't. I emailed again and explained the issue with a screenshot of the double charge. I was told that they only see one charge on their end and my pending charge will fall off, so I emailed them again and said I already waited for them to move out of pending status and they BOTH did and both charges are there still, no longer pending. The response email I then got was that they are experiencing high volume and will respond as soon as possible. It's such an incredibly unnecessarily long process for such a simple issue. I called my bank and they confirmed that yes, both charges did fully go through so they're disputing it on their end. I will say the chicken was very good, but my Mac and cheese had a hardened top layer that made half of it inedible, and the mashed potatoes in some spots had a crusted layer so they both definitely sat in a warmer past their freshness window. Super annoying experience and it's wild to me that there's no actual humans to speak to on the phone or the chat and that the email support is so slow and...
Read moreI love the food here, I want to give 5 stars but can’t because the service and speed is lacking severally. I waited several minutes to be addressed while standing just a few steps away from the counter (this could have been slight confusion as to I was not ready to order, I was however simply waiting for the invitation to be acknowledged and be greeted so no big deal). The big deal is as follows. I did watch 7 cars, and yes I did actually count them because I worked fast food 20 years ago when I was in high school and wanted to see what the turn around rate in “dining in” and “drive through” was. The place I worked at stressed drive through was the most important customer to server and they should always come first, which I always felt was wrong. So I was curious. Anyways I counted 7 vehicles (which were not all waiting at the same time I will also point out) all slowly trickled in, pull up, order, drive through to the window, and drive off relatively quickly before I even got my order. By the time I got my food the number of people in line increased to about 13 (when I started there was myself and 3 others again adding to my confusion as to why they were so slow). Maybe the moral of the story is go through drive through because Popeyes is like the company I worked for all those years ago and stresses get people in and out fast so you can make more money then simply bring your food inside to sit down. I’m not sure what the problem was but I was quite annoyed with the hold up especially since I ordered a 3 piece strip with Mac and cheese and a frozen lemonade. Not too complicated I though. I will add that the chicken was not piping hot indicating my long wait was due to a shortage of on hand supply and they were cooking more, it however wasn’t cold by any means either, it just wasn’t hot therefor leading me to think it must have sat under the heat lamps for a little while before being stuffed into a box then handed to me. I sure hope this issue will be addressed sooner rather than later other wise I will start telling friends and others to hit up another location if they want Popeyes for lunch because this one can’t handle any volume of people in its dining room, or simple ignore dining in and get the drive through then go...
Read moreI had one of the worst fast food experiences of my life at this location. We went on a Sunday afternoon to get some food to take to a picnic at the park. The order was pretty straightforward - the large family meal, nothing crazy. I repeated it to the person taking the order three times, as she kept repeating it back wrong. She finally got it and I pulled forward - that's when I realized why she struggled to take my order. The employee (I think her tag said shift manager) looked absolutely disheveled - flour all over her, including her hands and face, her shirt was tucked in on one side and not the other, and she looked super flustered. I watched her walk around in the kitchen while we waited, and she spent nearly fifteen minutes trying to put up a sign on a machine that was broken.
Meanwhile, we're waiting...and waiting ..and waiting. I could see another employee working furiously fast at one counter - I'm guessing she was making ALL the food while the manager did who knows what. 15-20 minutes after ordering, we get our food - and it's wrong. I asked for a certain mix of spicy and normal, and she had flipped it (my receipt had the right order). I showed her the receipt and asked if she could fix the order, and I got the worst annoyed, irritated, are-you-kidding-me look I've ever had in my life. No, I'm not kidding, I just want what I paid for (and what you put in the system). She literally huffed at me, took the receipt, and closed the window.
Ten minutes later the window opened, she handed me the fixed order, and closed the window without a word. No apology for the mistake, the almost thirty minute wait, nothing. The saddest part of this review is that the food was great - the person that actually made it did a good job. The service was just so bad that I'll never go back to this location again.
I have a pretty high tolerance for fast food service, but this was out of control. I'd like to think a store manager will read this and take care of it - that employee is making the whole place look (and...
