We started coming here in 2012 and have been going almost every year. We went last week. & we hadn't been since August 2019 due to COVID. The shut downs & all. Well , we weren't as happy as usual . Very disappointed. The beach was packed, most of the beach was blocked off and private. Since when?! Trash thrown all over the beach. Definitely, Not what it used to be. No parking anywhere. The harbour now charges for parking. So much traffic. So much traffic on the beach as well we couldn't find a place to set up after looking for parking for 30 mins. If you are planning a Florida beach trip try another beach. Restaurants were a 2 hour wait or more. One restaurant straight out told us. You're crazy if you think I can get you guys...

We visited in late summer after the crowds had gone. It was very peaceful. The water just took my breath away. It is indeed emerald green and the sands were white. The beach & water at night was amazing. You could find a few small seashells if you wanted to, but you won't find any of a good size here. We stayed at a hotel on the beach.
