Beach Haven Gulfview II — Hotel in Miramar Beach

We stayed in condo 106, ground level with parking right outside our rear door which was very convenient. The furniture and decorations were nice and contemporary however the structure of the unit needs attention. The AC sounded like someone put shoes in the dryer...all...night...long. The sliding door is so old there's a bar that locks it and it takes quite a bit of effort to even get it shut. It is the only unit on our level without anything outside the door to hang wet clothing/towels on, we bought cheap rope and had to makeshift a clothesline ourselves. Absolutely no cleaning supplies, including a vaccume, to maintain the place for the week. There was a broom in the closet (with wads of hair stuck to it) but this did nothing for the sand on the large rug. We had a couple Palmetto bugs (HUGE) but it sounds like this is common in Florida. We found it odd that there is a blender and toaster but no hair dryer, had to buy one. Not one hanger in the closet, instead 3 dirty blankets wadded up with hair all over them. Hair behind the door in the bathroom, hair in the master bed bedding and bunks. There's a security light right outside the master bedroom window so we often woke up in the night thinking it was morning. Many of the other units had light blocking blinds for this reason. Plan on a trip to the grocery as soon as you get there, you'll need toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. We did leave the hangers there. Washer and dryer are $1.75 each and are conveniently right beside this unit...it's a good thing because I needed to wash all the bedding on our first day. My cousin Rusty booked a room for the last weekend of May 2020. He never received any kind of check in instructions. Well we get to the location and there is no check in building like there is at most places, unsure what to do we call the business number and was on hold for 45 minutes before I got irritated and called booking.com (from my phone) Well booking.com answered the call immediately and took our info then called us back within 15 mins with the check in instructions before anybody from the actual business answered ( YES we were still on hold) we walk into the room it was hot and it kinda smelled a little but no big deal. We turned on the AC and unpacked. Went out for a bite to eat and when we came back it had cooled down just a bit but was still Slightly uncomfortable. We went to bed and woke up Saturday morning and went out for a day of fun. When we returned to the room it was 80°+ because the air conditioning was not working it smelled terrible and there was a couple of roaches(and not outside roaches it was one of those German roaches(we have videos and pictures). We contacted booking.com and the business directly hoping for some type of compensation, maybe being moved into another room or them sending someone to fix the AC..... instead they offered to give us a credit for 1 night. I actually didn't spend a penny its not my money at all..... but that my friends is not customer service. And I myself will never visit or do business with this location or any...

Unit 325 I will start by saying the location is steps away from the beach and there are 2 pools that weren’t as packed as most resorts or condos in the area. The positives stop there. The room was FILTHY. Bugs in the lights, mattress springs broken and sink in in master, pullout bed was broken, deck was about 4 feet wide and gave you a wonderful view of A/C units. The microwave had chunks in it, the floor had plastic tags from clothing from previous vacationers, my 2 year olds feet were black after 30 minutes, sand on the floor, clearly the cleaning service did not sweep or mop, clean microwave, nor cabinets, as there were chunks of black something lying around the dishes. The pillows and walls on the top bunk were disgusting, like years of kids touching the wall with their feet. And pillows were covered in a possible hello substance. Lights had dead bugs in them, fans caked in dust, rusted out beach chair and umbrella hanging out from under the bed, stand next to couch had crumbs and a black curly, as did the sheets in the bunk. All the sheets were stained and I suspect they were never washed. This place was repulsive. Luckily, in this case, we went through a property management company and they relocated us after about 4 miserable hours. Yuck! Pay an extra $50 a night and stay...
