Destin Family Beach Fun Vacation Rental House — Local services in Destin

Our Best Trip Ever - I don’t know how many times that I heard that phrase when we recently spent a week in this beautiful / amazing home. But, it was so true. We’ve been renting vacation homes for about 22 years now. We normally rent 1 to 3 condos/homes to accommodate our family. With this home, it was so nice to be able to have all family members under one roof. Before the first day was over, we were talking about planning a return visit next year. As each family arrived and would take a tour of the home, everyone was just wow’ d by this home. Very elegant home with a beachy feel. So much light with all of those huge windows. The kitchen/dining/living room area was so spacious. You didn’t feel like you were trampling over each other in the kitchen. All of us were able to fit on the living room couch/chairs. Everyone in the family was able to sit and eat together at one time, at the spacious dining room table, after grilling dinner on the large gas grill on the balcony. Having a large group, it was great to have 2 dishwashers to keep up the with large number of dishes. The appliances in the kitchen were nice / high end. The bedrooms were nice and spacious. Most have their own private bathroom with a HUGE shower. Most bedrooms have direct access to a balcony. The enormous master on the 3rd floor has a wine cooler which was very nice. Another nice feature was the method in which you turned on lights, ceiling fans, etc. Instead of a light switch process, you pressed up and down on buttons that not only turned items on / off, but for example, you could adjust the brightness/dimness of room lighting. The owner did a great job of labeling things. For example, this sliding door won’t open. There are so many cabinets / drawers in the kitchen, and they have labels that tell what type of items go into each of the particular cabinets / drawers. It was nice for the young adults to have their own area of the house. On the first floor, there is a bunk room with 4 bunks. The young adults also had their own living room area / small refrigerator. Something good about the sliding glass doors that go to the pool area. There is a buzzer. Adults can press a button and the buzzer won’t go off when you open the doors. So, if a young child were to try to sneak out to the pool area, that buzzer would go off. Great way to make sure small children are protected. The house also has an elevator. Great for if you have anyone in your group that has trouble with steps. Great to use too if you have groceries or lots of other items to lug up the stairs. It works great as long as you follow the exact / posted instructions. It worked great for us, with the exception of a few user errors. As for the overall community, loved being in a gated community. Not much traffic. And the streets are brick. House is in a great location. Right across the street from beach access. Just takes a minute to get onto the beach. And, if for some reason you want to use the community pool or need to use overflow parking (first come first serve), there’s only 1 house between this house and the community pool/overflow parking. If you’d like, there are a couple of restaurants pretty close that are within walking distance. I have to say, this owner was the best I’ve ever worked with. Proactively checked on us occasionally. Couple of times just sent quick reminders to us. If there was something you wanted to ask or bring to his attention, received quick responses. Jackpot! We hit the jackpot with Family Beach Fun in Destin. This spacious home allowed our group of 13 plenty of room to spread out. The shared spaces were large and centrally located. The kitchen was very well stocked and Nick had some very special treats waiting for us when we arrived. We were able to use the two garages during our stay and there was plenty of additional parking for three more cars. Having the elevator for unloading our vehicles and then loading at the end of our trip was great. The outdoor balconies were a welcome addition to the main living area and to four of the bedrooms. It was a very short walk (literally across the street) to the private beach and that certainly made taking four children 5 and under easy. The community pool was also very close - just one house down and around the corner. There are some beach and pool toys in the garage that could be used if you don't bring your own. The house has a pool that all our family enjoyed after a day at the beach. With such a large group, having an extra refrigerator and freezer in the garage and a wine chiller in two of the rooms was spot-on. The house is truly perfect and the host could not have been nicer. One recommendation - call to reserve your beach umbrellas before your trip. That made things so easy on our first day. We were able to walk to the beach early on Sunday morning (names are on your umbrellas/chairs) and there is no waiting in line to get them. After the line decreased, I went to pay for the week. It was so lovely to have everything set up and ready to go every morning! There was no jostling for a great spot. Two of my favorite things about the beach on the Gulf compared to East Coast beaches is #1 the white sand doesn’t absorb as much heat so your feet don’t burn walking across it and #2 the water is so clear. This house is AMAZING! It is even more beautiful in person! Our family ranges from 13 years old to 24 years old for our 5 kids and two of their spouses! We also added in three friends making it 12 of us staying here for the week. Everyone had their own beds/bedroom. With the unused bunk niche and bunks that weren’t filled up we could have comfortably added 8 more people. The private pool and hot tub were nice sized and very clean/comfortable. The house bottom level was roomy and had comfortable couch and the mini fridge and bar was awesome for having cold drinks on that level. The 2nd level had a large living room and huge dining room table. The kitchen is fantastic and has a huge stove for cooking for a big group, two dishwashers, great size fridge, a separate ice machine for use and to top it off the kitchen was stocked with every pan, bowl or utensils you could ever ask for! All the bedrooms are fantastic and roomy! The queen room would be best suited for a young person as there is not a closet and its private bath is in the hall and not hooked to the room. With the sliding doors to this room there is not really privacy for a couple to use it. The master bedroom is the best I’ve ever seen or stayed in. Private fridge and counter in this room, huge room and so spacious, huge master bath! The view of the ocean from this bathroom and room itself are breathtaking! The ceiling fans in this home are top quality and push a ton of air! We’ve been visiting Destin yearly 1-3 times and have stayed in this neighborhood Destiny by the sea in 7 different houses! This one blows them all away! Nick is the best host we’ve ever had on a vacation! Communication is a 10! Home is a 10! Access directly across to beach is a 10! Vacation was in turn a 10! We will be staying here many times in the future!...
