This property is located near I-20, not in the center of town on "Business I-20". Texan Inn provided a clean comfortable basic motel room. It is equipped with speakerphone, color TV, microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. The room is of good size. Everything works. There is a decent selection of basic-cable channels. There is free wifi that works fine. You need the WEP key from the office. Get it at check in. There is supposed to be wired Ethernet in the room, but I couldn't make that work. The bed is firm and comfortable. The phone provides access to toll-free numbers without additional charge. There is a swimming pool, but I never checked it out. This was the least expensive motel at this exit (80) from I-20. I paid $50 for the night. Other properties were $70 and $120. Checkout is 11 AM, not noon. I'd...

The air conditioner with the makeshift cardboard airflow diverter cooled the room to a tolerable level in a couple of hours. The dirty refrigerator was running, but not really cooling. I would estimate the refrigerator temp to have been around 60, but that's not so bad considering the room temp was in the 90's. There was no Kleenex, no decaf coffee, no breakfast. But the bed was comfortable and the water was hot.| A 3 rating...

I couldn't tell if the sheets on my bed had been changed since the last guest slept in it... the sheets were very dirty, with many stains on them.||||This hotel attracts blue-collar oilfield workers who are noisy and drive noisy diesel pickup trucks. It's not a quiet place.||||There is a reason this motel is the cheapest in town. I recommend...
