Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Monahans

The service is very very slow. I'm talking about from the time you step in to the time it takes you to order to the time it takes them to make your food to the time it takes them to bring you your food. Their floors and storage sized bathrooms always seem dirty and their toilets are always unclean or broken or both. You can tell when you walk in that this DQ is under-performing.

The wait for our food took almost as much time as it does at a regular restaurant like Red Lobster. DQ emplyees: you ARE a fast food restaurant, despite what your corporate ownership labels you as now (fast casual dining).

One experience: From our table, we have watched them make our food, put it in paper bags, and watched them leave it there for 10 minutes until somebody decides to deliver it. Keep in mind we didn't know it was ours before they brought it to us or else we would have told them to give us our food.

Another experience and the last one I'll ever have at this location: I almost died due to food poisoning. I hadn't ate anything the day before or anything during that morning so decided to treat myself to an extra long chili cheese dog and fries for lunch. The chili was black. That was a warning sign that I didn't heed. By the time I left work I had a 103 degree fever and was shaking and not even sitting in front of a heater could control them (it was winter). HORRIBLE PLACE, DO NOT EAT HERE! Food was ok, not great but not horrible either. SERVICE WAS AWFUL!. I went here with my mother and it took us about 5 minutes to get our food ordered, another 15 minutes to get our food and it wasn't even right (If I order my burger a certain way, it better be that way). After eating I went back up to order another burger, drink, and sundae to go for my father. It took me 30 MINUTES to order, just to order. The girl behind the counter seemed new, which I can understand because i've been there, so that was really not that big of a deal. Apparently they give you numbers with your order so they can bring it out to you, but I this time I never got one. I waited for another 30 MINUTES for my order. An elderly woman who came in about 15 minuites after ordered my second order, and she got her food before I did. Upset, I went up to the counter to ask for my order. The lady behind the counter was EXTREMELY RUDE!! The elderly woman who had cam in behind me had gotten my food instead. She brought the food back to the counter claiming it wasn't hers and the very rude lady took the bag tossed it to me, the elderly woman had riped the bag completely down the side, and said "Here's your order, I gave it to her because she had the number card".. EDIT: THE PHOTO POSTED OF THE RUDE EMPLOYEE WHO WOULDNT OPEN THE WINDOW BUT KEPT MAKING HERSELF DESSERTS IS THE ONE WHO WIPED HER DIRTY HAND ACROSS THE TOP OF OUR BLIZZARD. CLEARLY MANAGEMENT KEPT HER AROUND. Absolutely disgusted! Sat in line for 40 minutes for 2 small blizzards. We finally got to the window and I watch as an employee grabs them out of a fridge (no issue, I assume they were made when I ordered and placed there to keep from melting.) She the proceeds to take one over a trash can, completely in my view. Dumps the whole top off as it's melted, stirs it up to make it look full and then here is the disgusting part- WIPES THE WHOLE TOP OF MY CHILDS ICECREAM OFF WITH HER BARE HAND!! THEN WIPES HER HAND ON HER SHIRT!! She then proceeded to the window to hand them to me and take my payment and me sitting there appalled by what I just witnessed let her know I would not be buying those. I assume it was her manager standing behind her, she asked what was going on and I told her and the girl just stood there quiet, I guess not expecting me to have called her out.
