Pros: Friendly staff, always willing to answer my questions, helped me with concerns I had. And actually cared about what I had to say!
Phenomenal breakfast worker, she was I would say the highlight of my experience. We really enjoyed talking to her and her phenomenal cooking! All fresh food to! My favorite part was the waffles. Also beautiful lobby to eat breakfast in!
Location is wonderful if you don't have a car, tons of stuff to walk around and see and you can also doordash there. Wonderful shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion in the bathroom! Beautiful view from my room! And ice machines everywhere! They also have on site laundry. Con: Bathroom REALLY needs updated, like overall the whole thing does. Loved the mirror though! We stayed in room 221 and the bottom was missing paint, on top of it there was a drip (maintenance ordered part for and was just waiting for it to get there) but overall.. The missing paint, small tub etc.. Really could use an update. Loved the mirror though! Room was the smallest bit messy, but staff instantly listened to my concern and took note of it!
Pool had hair chunks and such floating around it my whole stay, and I stayed two nights. (I forgot to mention it to staff, so on my behalf my own fault because I know they handle concerns if mentioned)
Tv was off and on not working with channels, but again they took note of that!
Beds needed updated same with pillows, but bed was clean! Really creaky and stiff sadly. Fridge froze some of my food. Detailed experience: This was my fiancés first ever hotel experience, and we definitely will be back! Everyone was so kind and welcoming, never once did they seem annoyed with my million in one questions, if anything they encouraged me to ask so that way it helped calm my anxiety! At first we only had one night booked, but upon how wonderful the stay was we booked another night! I will say to the overall Hampton though, it would be so smart for you to add a sidewalk going down into the area that has goodwill and such! Also please add hulu to your tv options lol, not just Netflix or live tv!(there wasn't much to watch via live tv) I want to say as an overall to everyone though, this hotel puts a lot of effort into caring about their jobs. It's honestly beautiful how well put together this establishment is and how welcoming they are. You guys have a full time buyer now, JUST BECAUSE of how friendly this staff was. And to anyone reading this, make sure to talk to the wonderful woman who makes breakfast! She is such a beautiful soul and had many wonderful stories to tell, I really don't think she understands HOW MUCH she made our day.
Also they do have a gym, I wasn't in it much but when I was, it was clean...
Read moreDO NOT STAY AT THIS Hampton. My family and I do alot of traveling. This hotel was by far the worst hospitality we have ever experienced. We sat in lobby a couple hours, eating pizza and just hanging out. In that period, we overheard several guests asking for simple items, like dish soap, a bit of milk, etc.... each time, Josh, the front desk agent rejected their requests saying they did not have any. Ok.... maybe you don't serve milk for morning breakfasts or use dish soap to wash dishes, but.... here's where our real complaint comes in. Later in the evening, our toilet in our room over flowed. Josh, delivered a plunger to our room, handing it to a child. We proceeded to unclog toilet ourselves and to clean up the miss with room towels. We had asked if they could put us in a new room. The front desk girl looked and said this shouldnt be a problem but we had to wait till Josh got back from getting us new towels to do the swap. When he returned he quickly said no.... then continued typing in his computer.... never looking up at me. I assumed he was double checking. After about a minute of awkward silence, i asked if he found another room. He rudely replied, "no, we are booked.... even though several sites on internet including Expedia and Hilton site itself showed several rooms. And the girl agent said it looked like it would be possible. We then asked if they could at least come mop our floor with disinfectant.... he replied, "I can bring you a mop....we're not janitors". We'll, neither are we. We paid nearly $200 for hospitality..... not to maintain and clean our room. When I asked for a manager, he said we had to wait till monday! He later said to another family member, "I make $13 hr, I'm not about to mop floors! Never have we experienced this lack of service at any Marriott, which we stay at much more frequently. And even the times we stay at Hiltons, never have we received this lack of service. Josh was very rude, was wearing casual clothes including a hoodie (lacking professional appearance), and certainly lacking professional behavior. Should definitely not be employed in a hospitality setting. Choose your employees better. We will be contacting corporate about...
Read moreWe were unfortunately very disappointed with our stay. I checked into the room and quickly discovered there was fecal matter in the toilet that wasn’t cleaned. As I was in the room, the cleaning woman unlocked the door and entered the room without knocking. Shocking and unacceptable! I was able to tell her about the toilet and she left to get cleaner. I was changing my clothes when she again opened the door and walked in without knocking. Shocking and awful, I’m so bothered that this happened. (I wasn’t naked thankfully, just changing my tshirt but still). She cleaned the toilet and left, leaving her bottle of cleaner behind. I went downstairs and told the front desk what happened and how unacceptable it was, I also mentioned that the bedspread was stained) they said they would alert the manager who never contacted me. When the rest of my party arrived and we were settling in we noticed we could not adjust the ac in the room, at this point someone from the front desk came up and changed the batteries in the wall unit controller and gave us a $25 gift certificate for a restaurant for our inconvenience which we found unacceptable considering the seriousness of being walked in on and the fecal matter in the toilet, the ac not working properly and the stained bedding. Breakfast was fine, and we checked out the next day but not before seeing this dead roach in the hallway. I let the front desk know and got an annoyed answer about “we’ll clean it up”. I’m not bothering to post pics of the other stuff, I think the dead roach is enough. We would love to discuss this further with a manager. It’s just not ok what happened.
On the plus side the pool was lovely and clean and I slept very comfortably in all new bedding that was changed after I mentioned the...
