The room itself was simply beautiful! For a smoke free hotel though....our room stunk so bad of cigarettes and for 2 people who quit smoking cigarettes about 2 years ago ....just wasn't pleasant. I didn't want to complain to the front desk about it because the guy who was working was really creeping me out asking about my love life and if it was my boyfriend who was paying for the room just to scoop out if I had a bf....and everytime we came downstairs his eyes followed. My HUSBAND found it very disrespectful after awhile of him doing it.
ONTO the breakfast part.... This hotel is already the most expensive in the area and it's breakfast was poor. If you are avoiding carbs...don't bother going down for breakfast....they only had bagels and muffins. Their juice tasted watered down and the coffee tasted burnt. Not a good variety of breakfast items and there's a sign that if you want breakfast sandwiches that you have to pay? So the room itself is over priced and I'm supposed to get complimentary breakfast but I have to pay for the good shit? Quality Inn is cheaper, has decent rooms, and a pool and their breakfast had waffle batter and waffle makers, eggs, bacon, ham, good yogurt, good juice. This place needs to step up their employees and the breakfast choices. They also should do better with the "smokeless" parts and not have their rooms smell like they've been drenched in cigarette smoke especially for those of us who are ex smokers and don't appreciate the smell.....I absolutely loved the room but that doesn't make up for all the other shit. Just go to the other hilton or quality inn. I promise you'll have a...
Read moreOur family of six was traveling from NYC to Indianapolis, IN. We got delayed quite a bit by a wreck on the highway and road construction, so we decided to take a chance on Spark. It was close by, and it was an unbeatable price. The gentleman at the front desk was super friendly and helpful, the room and bathroom were spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, the pillows were soft, the air conditioning worked, and there was coffee available in the morning. For road weary travelers just needing a place to rest their heads for the night, this place fit the bill. The only cons I can think of would be the road noise (you’re right next to the interstate where trucks are hitting their air brakes to slow down on a big hill), and a lack of other options besides toast and bagels for breakfast.
BUT…
This is not a five star hotel. If you need a five star hotel this is not your place. If, however, you need a comfortable, clean, budget-friendly place to rest for the...
Read moreHad the worst experience at a hotel . My floor reeked of marijuana. Went down stairs to get fresh linen cause our room was never clean and the manager was outside came in after 20 minutes or so with a nasty attitude, swearing . Saying she spent 3 years in jail for killing someone, that she should have stayed in Indiana. Walked right past me in pjs and slippers . Their general manager. I told her about our room not being clean and that it reaked of pot . That my kids and grandkids are there , her response was there isnt nothing she could do and walk away and got on elevator. I said that was unprofessional and asked her named said bella . And if i had any problems with that to take it up with her boss vinita . To whom which that didnt have no information for said he ( Dustin ) will lose his job if he gave out her card . So me and my famaily left early . Been a Hilton member for years and never seen the dirspect and foulness...
