Room is very comfortable and clean. Bathroom door dragged on the floor and squeaked whenever opened and closed. Tub fixtures (handle, faucet) not secured to wall or caulked so they pulled away when used. Checkin was difficult. At first, I was completely ignored while she counted her money drawer for a minute or two before even acknowledging me. When she did, she initally couldn't find the reservation and asked for my confirmation number. After a minute or two of me fumbling to find it, she magically found my reservation and then didn't want to hear from me from that point forward. They would not take my ID and insisted I had to show a US ID... I gave them my passport but I guess actual national identification doesn't count as a US ID any more. Even though my rewards information was in there they insisted I give my address which I don't like to do. I gave it anyway, out loud, in front of other guests, against my will and she still typed it in wrong. The clerk asked me to sign the electronic register and I told her there was nothing on the screen to sign. She then accused me of getting worked up and upset and I reiterated that I wasn't, I just couldn't do what she asked because it hadn't shown up on the screen and tried to turn it to show her. The platform didn't turn so she had to stretch across the desk to try and see instead of listening to me. She finally conceded it wasn't working and asked her neighbor to do the registry card for me and then it finally did come up on her terminal. No apology for accusing me of getting upset or belittling me in front of other guests. When I told her the address was wrong, she ignored me and so I will need to update on my rewards profile since she would not correct. She also said I won't get rewards points, even though I paid a rate that specifically will give me rewards points, have verification from Choice Rewards, and my rewards number was attached. She did not care to review the reservation with me at all for issues and kept ignoring everything I was trying to go over with her. Purely because of her terrible attitude and poor customer experience, I will book elsewhere the next time I visit this area, which is where I graduated high school. Hotel was pretty good otherwise but service is the most important aspect of the hospitality industry.
Followup, had a wonderful phone discussion with a manager after posting this review. I have adjust my rating based on that conversation and do believe I had a one...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to take a last minute trip to Nashville and had initially booked at another hotel for Friday 9/20-Sunday 9/22 and had an awful experience and couldn’t even get past checking in. We had driven over 5 hours and arrived at that hotel around 1am. After that experience, we were left at 1am to search for another hotel within that area. We tried to book another room online for Friday but because it was after midnight, it wouldn’t allow us to book. We called this Comfort Suites and I spoke to a very nice lady on the phone and we chose to go there and stay there. She checked us in and we booked the 2nd night through the website. She was able to coordinate us being able to stay in the same room both nights. The first night somehow was booked in my name and the second was my husbands name. We were assured everything was good to go. The issue comes in, Saturday morning. Simultaneously, our room phone rings and someone started knocking on the door. I picked up the phone and the front desk girl asked if we’re checking out soon? I said no, we are here for tonight as well and explained to her the situation and she was like oh, I see I’m sorry! She said you’re good and we were good to go. Around 9pm Saturday night, we were at dinner and my cell phone rings.. it was the hotel again, another girl calls and says that they went into our room to clean and we had left stuff in the room and asked if we wanted to have it sent to us. I said no, we haven’t checked out… we are staying tonight too and she said we would need to pay for the 2nd night. We had already paid for both nights. I then explained the situation again and she assured me we were okay and good to go that no one had made a note in the system. We get back to the hotel after dinner and went to our room to make sure all of our things were still in the room. We got to our room and our keys didn’t work. We went back downstairs to the front desk and explained our keys weren’t working and who we were and she told us they had deactivated our keys. We had to check in AGAIN and get new keys. Sunday morning, we woke up to the fire alarm around 8:30. It stopped after a few minutes. We had no idea what was happening/if there was an actual fire. No explanation from staff. Over all it was an...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I’m a choice employee. And I used my discount for the first time a few months ago to visit family. It was a 9 hour drive from my home to this hotel. When we got there and walked in the lobby the first thing my partner said was, “it smells like poop in here” after figuring everything out about our reservation, because their was some confusion on my part, not only was the women working the desk, Pany, rude and overwhelmingly unwelcoming, when I apologized for the confusion she just nodded her head. (Let me say I wouldn’t on my worst of days treat a guest of any stature with such an attitude) when we got into the rooms, they seemed nice but after my toddler walk around for a few minutes we noticed her feet were black with the filth from the floors. So our first hour was unpacking and cleaning the floors, we even had to ask for a mop because it was so bad(we didn’t get one) The breakfast was the same every morning, while at my location we serve a much better selection of breakfast items even then it was barely average, wet eggs and dry bacon. Now for the part that upset me the most, on our checkout day, we requested a late check out because our toddler caught Covid while on the trip and none of us got sleep the night before. So 30 minutes before our checkout time I start hauling down everything we brought with us for a stay upwards of a week, I hauled 3 loads out to my car on little sleep, clearly making an effort to check out, with a sick screaming toddler we were trying to calm down and get ready for the long trip home, the MINUTE it was checkout time, we got a call from the Indian women working AM front desk, telling us we needed to leave, with a screaming child in the background i told her that we were working on it, over the next 15 minutes she called our room 4 different times to tell us to check out. On the fourth call, after 15 minutes, she told me that if we weren’t out in 5 minutes she would have to charge us extra. She was on her phone every time I walked past the front desk, so I guess she didn’t see me actively leaving, regardless this was unacceptable. She was just as bad if not worse than pany. Again I work for the same company, so I know this was all completely uncalled for,...
