I rated this place with a low rating, the lowest I've ever given a business. Here's why. I walked into the store, and asked for assistance with finding an item. The lady at the cash register directed me to Crafts, with no specificity. I kindly asked her if she could be more specific, since Crafts is such a big section. She said there would be someone back there to help me. THAT was her customer service! She didn't offer to call anyone or help me beyond her vague instructions. I immediately got on the phone and called Joann's Fabrics to see if they carried the item for which I was looking, and they did! On my way out the door, I told the lady how rude she was, and how dismissive her help was. I told her that her cs was horrible. I was looking for supplies for our VBS craft, and told her that my church always supported this store. She then apologized, because I called her out on her rudeness. Consequently, I told her I was going elsewhere. In my haste to get to church, I ended up calling the manager omw to church. He was very apologetic, and said he would handle the situation, and that's all. Not only did Joanne's have the BEST customer service, but when I shared my Hobby Lobby experience, she gave me an additional 15% off my purchase. No Hobby Lobby for me for a looooong time. No one ask if I needed help. I was looking for the yard to match what I had. I also was looking for some other items but they did not ask if I needed any help. Had another employee walking behind me. I had to go online to find where I can go and get the other items. Oh there was no prices on the yarn. Had no ideal what the price was. I do believe that when I went into my purse pulled my simples I had and then pulled another crochet piece I had to fine the color. I put the one back that is when I had these employees around me. It made me feel like they thought I was going to shoplift. So I got to the register I showed they cashier my simple said that was mine and open my purse so they could see I had nothing. With that being said sorta wish hobby lobby had some kinda of program or company program that a customer could be apart of that would provide savings on art material any day of the month. You see, I buy alot of Masters Touch Acrylic paint. I usually have to stick up my inventory of colors once a month and I usually have to buy a big bottle of titanium white and Permanent Black twice, sometimes three times a week. And depending on when I need it, the need could come when Mastrs touch is not on sale Which really screws me financially or stalls out the production of my art. I just wish that they had a frequent shoppers card that would make Masters Touch 50%off every time I go to buy it......but tis just wishful...
