At Home — Local services in Mount Juliet

At Home doesn't even deserve a one rating. I ordered two trash cans on Sunday from the Mt. Juliet store to have delivered to my house. I did not receive the two trash cans. I received some white cloth flowers. When I looked at my online receipt and it shown that they came from Franklin store. I called them they told me I could take it to any store and get a refund. I go to the Mt. Juliet store to return the cloth flowers and get the correct item. They tell me I can't I have to purchase the trash cans there. Then take the white cloth flowers too the Franklin store. On top of that when I walked in to get a refund it was a lady there she told me they could refund me and to go get the trash cans that I purchased. I I went back there and got the trash cans I purchased. It took me 5 minutes, by the time I got back up there that employee was gone. She did not tell the next employees on duty anything about the return. This store needs to get there crap together. I shouldn't have to do all this just to get the correct product I purchased and paid extra money to have delivered to my home. Now I had to purchase a new trash can, after I purchase two trash cans already. And I still have the white cloth flowers. The flowers don't equal up to 40 bucks that I spent on two trash cans. Purchased pillows from the Mt. Juliet, TN store for delivery. Paid $10 bucks for the delivery only to have them throw all of the pillows over my front porch without any bags. Called the store and spoke to the manager. It was a female who claimed to be the manager and I informed her of the situation and she got snippy very quickly. She asked me with an attitude, what do you want me to do? I said I want you to tell the people at your store to package items appropriately. She told me that it was a third party company that delivered. I then asked if they pick the items up from the store and she said yes. So I said then it is still the stores responsibility to package the items up properly for them to be delivered. She definitely did not care about what I had to say. She does not belong being a manager at that store. But now that I think about it, whenever I go to that store there are shelves that are empty and when I ask for things they go the boxes in the back and bring stuff out. I moved to the area in January 2025 from Knoxville to care for my elderly parents. I've had to find new people to take care of me as well as my people in Knoxville have been 😅.

This At Home location definitely didn't disappoint. Their hidden gem is LaRon (sp) and if you're lucky, he'll be there to help you find whatever you're looking for. He's super kind, very knowledgeable about the vast inventory available and works harder than anyone I've seen in the places I typically shop at here in Wilson Co.

Dear At Home Corporate: please, please, for heavens sake please -- Don't let him go without a fight. He's worth whatever the investment is to keep him. Your company is only as good as the people who are representing you and LaRon is holding his own beautifully (and a couple of other people who have been working when I've been in the store).
