We went to Big Bad Wolf a few weeks ago. We had decent experience, but I wanted to visit again before I wrote my review. Definitely a solid 4 food wise. Service wise, it was a 5. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The staff was excellent both times.
I do have to be honest about the food. Some of it was fantastic, some was just okay. We tried the maple pecan pork chops. This was a disappointing dish. The chops were perfectly cooked but seemed to have just been cooked in "maple water" with pecans sprinkled on top. The flavor didn't really penetrate, and I would have preferred the pecan pieces be a little more chopped up.
We tried the brisket sandwich. I thought the brisket was just okay as well. I tried it plain and then with the mild sauce. Not the best or worst brisket I've tasted. We tried potato salad, wild rice, and baked beans as sides. We enjoyed all 3. I ordered the beans on both visits.
I was disappointed with the food first visit, but the staff made me want to visit again. We ordered baby back ribs and the big bad burger on our second visit. These were exceptional! Ribs had amazing flavor and fell off the bone. Whenever I get a burger and it's hand made instead of frozen patty it's always better. Nice flavor and everything was fresh. I tried both mild and spicy sauce. Mild is decent. Spicy sauce is a bit chunky and reminded me of salsa.
Prices are super affordable here. There's a few more items I'd like to try on their menu. Our server Megan was absolutely fantastic. I really cannot stress how amazing the...

I've eaten here a few times and the food has always been consistently good.
Today I decided to get the brisket with two sides of their vegetable medley.
They brought out rolls before the meal and they DISSOLVED in my mouth. They were saturated in butter and my bf and I fought over the last one. I could've eaten a whole meal just of those rolls they were so freaking good.
They OVERFLOW the plate with veggies and they soak in the brisket juices, delicious.
Now let's talk about the star of the show, the brisket! The meat was so tender it melted in my mouth that is no exaggeration as you can see from the video. It was so buttery and delicious. You didn't even need sauce for it, but I did try the spicy bbq sauce they offer and it was fire. It complimented the brisket perfectly. It packs a little bit of a kick but not overwhelmingly spicy, just enough.
My boyfriend got the burger and he said it was delicious.
My one and only complaint was the coleslaw, it lacked flavor. The presentation was beautiful. I thought it was going to be delicious but definitely lackluster in execution, needs some more seasoning for sure.
Please do yourself a favor upon looking at the menu they have vegan options too! So literally something...
Read moreMy family and I are new to the area, and the Big Bad Wolf came as a recommendation from multiple people in the area.
The Big Bad Wolf Smokehouse is a great jewel of a place. It reminds me of a small town cafe that is loaded with a punch of authentic BBQ and friendly service. When you arrive, you wait to be seated by some great hosts in a one room eating area with cool music poster decor present on the walls.
You get the pleasure of ordering from a just right sized menu of some home town barbeque cooking. The Prime Rib sandwich is my favorite, and it is big enough to share! They come with your staple sides and two really good BBQ sauces. Best part, the BBQ sauces are packaged and ready for you to enjoy at home. I love the spicy BBQ, but the rest of the family likes the traditional.
We get there around 11:15, and the place is pretty quiet, but slowly gets busy the closer we get to noon. It is located on a little strip mall, so pay attention where you are in the road, as you might accidentally pass it by.
Great place, great food,...
