I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Twisted Fork in Mount Pleasant, and I must say, it’s a true gem in the area! From the moment you step in, you can tell this isn’t just your average restaurant—it’s a carefully crafted experience. The menu is a foodie’s dream, featuring an incredible variety of chef-inspired dishes like Birria Tacos, Lobster Bao Buns, and Mango Barbacoa Eggrolls. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared, bursting with unique flavors that showcase the kitchen’s creativity and expertise. While the food leans toward the higher end in price, it’s clear you’re paying for quality ingredients and exceptional craftsmanship. The restaurant itself is spotless and beautifully maintained. The restroom, in particular, is one of the cleanest and most thoughtfully designed I’ve seen—an often-overlooked detail that says a lot about the pride they take in their establishment. The ambiance strikes a balance between upscale and welcoming, making it perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. Service is efficient and friendly, adding to the overall experience. The Twisted Fork began as a food truck, and its evolution into a full-fledged restaurant feels like a natural step. You can tell the team is passionate about their craft and dedicated to delivering a memorable dining experience. If you’re looking for creative, high-quality dishes in Mount Pleasant, this is the spot to visit. Just make sure to bring your appetite and an appreciation for bold flavors—you won’t be disappointed!

First time trying The Twisted Fork, and overall a very positive experience. We ordered takeout. The Smoke N’ Pig Smash Burger, the Nola Shrimp Po Boy, and the Strawberry Cheesecake Bao Buns. The Smash Burger and Po Boy were excellent. Flavourful, well-prepared, and definitely something we’d order again. The Bao Buns, however, weren’t quite to our taste. They had a surprisingly sour flavor that made them difficult to finish; not sure if that’s intentional or just an off batch. Service was great. The staff member who helped us was attentive, welcoming, and offered to answer any questions we had about the menu, which made a strong first impression. One small note for future visitors: the menu on their website doesn’t exactly match what’s available in-store. It wasn’t a big issue for us, but something to be aware of if you’re planning on ordering a specific dish. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, has a great local feel, and it’s clear the team cares about the experience they deliver. Despite the Bao Bun miss, I’d definitely recommend giving them a try.

My husband and I enjoyed our experience at this new restaurant in town. The procedure is to walk up to the counter and order then have a seat they will bring your order to you. I asked the cashier if she got to keep the tips and they split all the tips amongst the whole staff so I think that is equitable. The food is delicious. We had the Aji tuna tacos, and they were delicious, but they were served with fried wontons, and I don’t know if that really goes together. It certainly was too much starch for me (my husband loved them). Additionally, we had the potstickers which were absolutely delicious. We also had the Tijuana fries with Birria (add on). Everything was great and we were asked if the food was good a few times and we really enjoyed our experience overall. The reason I gave a four star for ambience is because it is extremely greasy in the air and it’s may be hard to take for some. We picked a table in the back and it was slightly less greasy air. We will be back!

The food is so good they have people literally writing fake reviews to try and bring the place down, assuming those are from either past disgruntled employees, OR his competitors in town getting jealous and paying people to right said fake reviews. Please try his food for yourself and be the judge. I've known the owner for a little over 8+ years, & I can tell you his style of dishes is not for everyone. However, if you go there with an appetite and an open mind, I promise you will not be disappointed in the slightest bit! He literally makes most of his dishes in house from scratch w/ the freshest ingredients possible. Attention to detail is impeccable here, & he taught his staff how to make the dishes his way, w/ Passion & Love! If you're looking for a basic burger or sandwich, DON'T GO HERE. If you're looking for an amazing experience filled with tons a flavor in every bite, I highly recommend this place, your taste buds will thank you later. He opened his food truck years ago in hopes to perfect his craft, which he has absolutely mastered to a T! That's why the next step was to open his restaurant, & when the time was right he jumped at the opportunity to make his reality a dream. Peter Grondin, I am so happy for you and your family l, & just know Chef Jay is looking down from above with his lil, Shit Eatin Grin, & one of his famous 2 liners letting you know you fucking made it brother!!!! Whenever I'm in the area I can't wait to bring my family in to eat my man! Keep on crushing the competition!!!! Clearly you have already made a mark with the haters leaving fake reviews, otherwise they wouldn't of wasted their time in doing so. Little did they know that by doing that would have the opposite effect on your establishment and bring in even more business for your team! Please let me know if/when those T-Shirts get made!!!! I'll buy 2, one for myself and one...

We were visiting from out of town and happened to find Twisted Fork by driving past it. We like different, creative food and after reviewing the menu decided to give it a try and we’re glad we did. We ate there for lunch 3 days in a row and ordered something different each visit. My wife’s favorite over the 3 days was the Falafel melt and Greek seasoned fries, both were delicious. The falafel was crunchy but moist on the inside which is usually not the case as it can be dry. The fries were extra crunchy and seasoning was delicious. My favorite was a tie between jalapeño popper egg rolls and Korean BBQ tacos. Both were full of flavor and were different than I expected. Portion sizes were such that we ate the leftovers for dinner and prices were reasonable. When I ordered the egg rolls they thought I ordered the jalapeño popper burger and when made aware of the mistake immediately rectified it and refunded the price difference and gave us a discount coupon as well. I would have been fine with just getting the correct order but they made sure everything was right and I was satisfied. Food came out timely and everyone we interacted with over the 3 days was extremely friendly and helpful

We were in town visiting my daughter and Son-in-law and when we visit in the future this will be our go to place for good service and great food. It’s probably good that we’re not local or we’d be eating here pretty...
