This was a place to lay your head. We checked in about 11:30/midnight meeting up with my best friend and her family after a long drive for both of us. Hallways and elevator smelled like weed, room had a huge spiderweb in the corner, crumbs on the floor in the corners and along the baseboards. Floor was LVP with the cheap, plastic, flexi classroom baseboard. Beds were comfortable, towels were fluffy and clean. Breakfast was very lack luster. Hashbrowns were soggy and stuck together, general breakfast food was very prevalent but nothing spectacular or noteworthy. However the big issue was about 4:15am when I found a baby cockroach in the bathroom. I managed to corner it and take a picture of it (attached) and then went to the front desk and showed her (she put it into the computer that it was a FLY). She apologized and said she would text the manager so we could have a discount upon checkout. She also said that they NEVER have this issue but they believe me. We checkout and the discount was 10%; my friend and I expressed our displeasure and were told we needed to reach out to the general manager. My friend and I called for about 2 weeks trying to reach the general manager (Mrs Patel, the owners wife) and no response to notes left from the front desk staff, voicemails or emails. I was finally able to reach the front desk manager and was given 50% off the room total and was told if we wanted an additional discount we needed to speak to the general manager and the front desk manager said she would leave yet another note for Mrs Patel to return my call. Long story short 6 weeks after our stay I was able to get the name of the owner and found out his wife is the general manager. Spoke to him and he said I needed to speak to her. I received a phone call from her seconds after hanging up with her husband. She told me that she relived 50% off the room was sufficient compensation considering the circumstances (what circumstances she never elaborated on) but customer service all around seems to be lacking here. Suffice to say we will never be staying here again due to the lack of accountability here.

My daughter booked a room at property October 3-5 for us to visit Stone Mountain Pumpkin Festival. Upon arrival the front desk staff was very welcoming. We checked in and left back out for some hours to just explore the city and surrounding areas. When we returned to the room we noticed that it was a dirty bandage left under the bedside stand and soon after my daughter spotted a bug and killed it. We called down to the desk and reported it the front desk staff. We were told that a manger would reach out to us and we said okay. Until now we still haven’t heard from anyone. The morning of check out I stated my concern with the front staff again and was told that a message had been left for manager Kataki(Kate- Key) and she would reach out to me being that on weekends no managers were there. I also reported that after getting off the phone the first night with front staff and preparing for bed that the shower door wouldn’t stay closed during showering. We still haven’t received a phone call from the manager and my daughter called and left a message on her voicemail. We then reached out to the 3rd party site we used to book and they haven’t had any luck with speaking with the manager yet. It’s crazy how you drive hours at stay at a property and there’s no manager that can address your concerns on the weekend and doesn’t even reach out to you when they return to office. It’s like once you check out and go hours away back home they don’t care about your concerns any longer because you’re gone. Gave service a 1 star because the customer service after being directed to the manger has been horrible.

I’m going to start this review by saying that I’m picky. I really strongly prefer to stay at 4 star hotels. However, this little gem absolutely delivered, and I am so thankful we got to stay there! After driving up on Monday night from Florida, we checked in and met Edwina. Edwina was the bright, shining star of this establishment, let me tell you. She brought Southern hospitality to life, and gave my kiddos bubbles and snacks, and gave us a room with a view. She even stood by while we went inside to make sure we liked it. The room was clean and modern. Beds comfy. Also, giant bonus: the pool was open until midnight! My kiddos were thrilled to play. We unfortunately slept through breakfast after arriving so late, but I enjoyed filling my water backpack before heading out for a day of hiking Stone Mountain with their lemon water. In summary, if you’re used to luxury, don’t hesitate to stay here. The service is top notch, the cleanliness is great, and the location is perfect for the mountain. Thank you, Edwina, for such a wonderful experience. Pictured is one of the cleanest hotel staircases I’ve ever seen, even at 4 star properties.

I recently stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in Stone Mountain, GA, for 3 nights during a vacation to see Stone Mountain. The hotel’s location is excellent for visiting the park and is conveniently close to a movie theatre, Walmart, and various dining options.

However, the location has its drawbacks. Due to the divided highway, you can only turn right when leaving the hotel. Since most amenities and attractions are to the left, it requires making an unprotected turn and navigating back around, which can be quite inconvenient. If you’re not familiar with the area, it can be challenging to find everything at first, but once you get used to it, it’s not too bad.

The check-in process was frustrating; the staff were rude and unprofessional, causing delays. Once in the room, it was nice with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa, though the sofa was hard and stiff. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean overall, albeit a bit small.

For the price of $90 a night, the hotel exceeded my expectations in providing a clean and decent room, making it a good value despite its size and a few inconveniences. Unfortunately, there were several issues: the microwave didn’t work and wasn’t labeled in English, the phone was non-functional, and the ice and soda machine on my floor was broken, requiring trips to the 3rd floor. The bathroom was small and lacked toiletries.

Although the hotel did have working Wi-Fi, the password was not on the keycard, and when I asked the desk for assistance, they were unhelpful in getting me connected. However, there was a working Ethernet jack in the room that I was able to use to get my laptop online.

Despite the hotel's signage for quiet hours, there was a problem with noise on the first night. Loud guests and a neighbouring room with a loud TV disrupted my stay, and no action was taken to address this. Fortunately, the noise issues were less problematic on the following nights.

Breakfast was decent but offered limited options, and the inconsistent start and end times were unprofessional and inconvenient.

If you’re looking for a nice, affordable hotel right by Stone Mountain Park, I do recommend this hotel due to its proximity to the park. While there are some service issues and inconveniences, the location and value are noteworthy. I would...

**DO NOT GO HERE! I made a reservation for Jan 26th, 2018. Tge woman on the phone was polite, made the reservation, took my CC info and told me I would receive a confirmation email shortly. When going to check in they could not find my reservation. The girls behind the desk were very polite and helpful but couldn't find it. I called reservations (the same number I called to make my reservation) and the woman on the phone basically said I was lying and I never made a reservation. She transferred me to customer care because at that point I was pissed because we just got done driving 5 hours to find out there were no rooms left. Customer service was great and credited me 30,000 points for a free night. The girls working the desk called holiday inn across the street and let them know what happened and got me a room at a small discount for that night.

It's now Feb 3rd, I used the points given to me to book a room tonight. Check in was quick and everything seemed fine. My wife, my kids (5 y/o and 11 months), and I go up to our room. Our room smelled strange and there were burn marks all over the carpet. The room was stuffy and the AC did not work. The parking lots bright LED lights were shining through the curtains that would not close. We figured we would just deal with it since it was only one night. We got in our beds and noticed the blankets and sheets were stained with brown spots, pink spots, and were covered in fuzz like they were washed with an ugly christmas sweater. Still we were going to suck it up and just stay the night because it was already midnight and we just got done driving 8 hours and were worn out. Then came the last straw, my wife goes to turn the lights off, the push button kind a lot of hotels use, and the button popped out from the wall. Now the lights wouldn't turn off. That was it. we packed up everything, checked out, and took our family across the street to the HOLIDAY INN. It is a MUCH nicer hotel. Screw the points, the free night, and anything Carlson. You will never receive a dime of my money again... you can count on that. I honestly have no idea how this hotel is considered a 3 star hotel or on the same note how it received so many stars on any reviews.
