So upon walking in the place was beautifully decorated, clean, nice music playing, bright, and cozy! I’m from FL and have been on ATL almost 3 years so I KNOW my Hatian cuisine! But I haven’t been lucky to find any good Hatian food since I’ve moved here. About 2 seconds after entering I was greeted by a warm, smiling, bubbly lady and she was just so nice. I already knew what I wanted to order because I viewed the menu online beforehand. So I ordered a fish pate, a beef pate, and an order of griot with djon djon rice. She said it would be a 10 minute wait so I left and came back in 10 mins as I was walking in she was coming out with my food. It looked so AMAZING! We had a brief fulfilling conversation and I went on my way. My wife had the beef pate and I had the fish one. Now my wife said it was good but she wished she had more filling. My fish one was filled to perfection. So on my lunch break I had the griot platter and man it was LOVE at first bite! I couldn’t even eat the whole thing though because it was so filling so I’m having the rest for dinner. The pork was fried and seasoned to perfection. The rice was just so delicious. I loved that she gave me a nice amount of gravy. It did come with a small cup of pickluz but I ordered extra and it did not disappoint. The extra cup was more then enough and the pickluz itself was perfectly pickled and had a nice amount of heat not too overwhelming. I could eat a jar of that by itself. All in all it reminded me of the food back home and whoever is back there in that kitchen hats off to you baby for a phenomenal job. I’m so happy to have found a place that have amazing food and amazing vibes. I look forward to coming back again and again! Oh and that salad was nice and fresh and I’m not sure if the salad dressing is homemade but it was the best salad dressing I’ve ever had! Oh and one more thing I’m sorry I don’t usually write reviews lol. But the plantains was nice soft, sweet, and ripe. Most Hatian places serve the dry, hard, green platains and I hate those so these were definitely refreshing. Ok I’m done don’t walk RUN AND GO...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Ambiance Lakay, a restaurant that has mastered the art of serving authentic Haitian cuisine. In a city where Caribbean flavors are scarce, Ambiance Lakay stands out as a gem worth discovering. Recommended by a friend, my expectations were high, and I was not disappointed.
Upon entering, I was greeted by a clean and inviting atmosphere, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. The service was notably efficient and courteous, which complemented the vibrant yet relaxed ambiance perfectly.
The highlight, of course, was the food. Each dish boasted authentic flavors that transported me straight to Haiti. From the perfectly seasoned griot to the aromatic goat bouillion, every bite was a testament to their commitment to authenticity and quality.
Ambiance Lakay is also an excellent choice for a date night, offering a cozy setting that encourages conversation and connection. The popularity of this place is rising, so I recommend arriving early if you plan to visit during dinner hours.
For anyone craving authentic Caribbean flavors, particularly Haitian cuisine, Ambiance Lakay is a must-try. They truly capture the essence of Haiti’s culinary spirit. Whether you're a longtime fan of Caribbean food or new to Haitian flavors, Ambiance Lakay promises an enriching and...
Read moreI ordered on Uber Eats and the food was fantastic! Their high rating is well deserved! First of all, I called to ask questions before ordering. They answered promptly and the woman I spoke to was pleasant, professional, and accommodating.
I ordered the Griot Fritay, Seafood Legume with du riz blanc et sauce pois rouge (white rice and red bean sauce), and Akra (malanga fritters). Stone Mountain is quite a ways from me and the food arrived warm. It was well packed and secured to prevent tampering.
The seafood legume had tons of shrimp, cirique, and lambi (blue crabs and conch). The pikliz was spicy but not so much where it’s not enjoyable. They also including a white sauce which was flavorful and acidic. The griot was well seasoned the Akra was so good!
I can confidently say this will be my new favorite Haitian restaurant and I can’t wait to try their other dishes. I will definitely bring my family here when they come to visit. I hope the community continues to support this establishment because we need more Haitian restaurants that are the complete package: Great food + great customer service.
I look forward to dining in soon. I’ll update my review regarding the atmosphere at that...
