Netherworld Haunted House (2025) – Stone Mountain, GA

We tackled both Monsters Attack! and Oblivion this year, and Netherworld proved why it’s in a league of its own. From the moment you step inside, it’s an onslaught of sound, motion, and imagination that feels straight out of a movie studio.

Attractions & Scares Monsters Attack! was nearly 25 minutes of pure chaos — hundreds of animatronics, detailed sets, and nonstop monster mayhem. The nods to classic Universal creatures were a nice touch for horror fans. Oblivion leaned heavier into gore and brutality, blending sci-fi horror with industrial terror. Both attractions featured seamless transitions, perfect pacing, and scare actors who knew how to keep guests on edge without missing a beat.

Atmosphere & Immersion The scale of Netherworld is unreal. From the towering façade to the sound design and fog-drenched lighting, everything feels cinematic. Once inside, the environments swallow you whole — whether you’re walking through a crumbling cathedral or a war-torn battlefield full of diabolical creations from Frankenstein's Army. The Midway was packed during our Saturday visit (October 18th, 2025), but the energy was electric with themed photo ops, food stands, and roaming monsters. We’ll definitely plan to arrive earlier next time to enjoy it more.

Costumes & Effects Every creature, animatronic, and prop feels handcrafted with precision. Costumes and prosthetics were movie-quality, and the sheer number of moving elements was staggering. There’s no “dead space” in either haunt — everywhere you look, something twitches, growls, or lunges. Netherworld continues to set the standard for visual storytelling in haunted attractions.

Scare actors & Energy The performers are relentless — always in character, always moving, and always reading the crowd. Timing is key in a haunt this large, and Netherworld’s team nails it. Even with a large group and one overzealous screamer behind us, the scare actors kept the tension tight and the energy high.

Staff & Guest Experience Despite the crowds, Netherworld runs like a well-oiled machine. Parking attendants, ticketing staff, and midway crew were all efficient and friendly. Signage was clear, crowd flow was smooth, and everything felt safe and organized. The professionalism of the staff makes the chaos inside the haunt feel that much more impressive.

Final Verdict Netherworld isn’t just a haunted house — it’s an event. The scale, detail, and execution put it in a category all its own. From Monsters Attack! to Oblivion, every scene is built to overwhelm your senses in the best way possible. Five stars...

My wife, along with some friends, made the trek to Atlanta this weekend specially for Netherworld. We had heard some really great things about it over the years and finally made it happen.

Here's something you should know - I like haunts but have never really found one that I have been absolutely bowled over by. This includes the revered Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando, which is one of the worst haunts I've ever attended.

With all of that out of the way, let me say this: Netherworld is on a different level in every single way. I'll break it down piece by piece.

Parking - A lot of times, at larger haunts, you can wait in traffic for hours just to get to a parking area to then find a lack of parking. That wasn't the case here! Excellent use of signs, traffic directing and a massive parking area made this absolutely painless. I was shocked and honestly impressed.

The price - I've been to well regarded haunts here in North Carolina which have been fun but they've made me accustomed to paying $100 or more per ticket before even adding on a skip the line or speed pass type of benefit. Netherworld though? DIRT CHEAP. Around $60 per person WITH speed pass, which enables you to skip the lines. Not that the lines were terribly long, due to the excellent event management that was being done by the staff. Still though, for a small extra amount, that speed pass was absolutely worth it.

The Employees - A lot of haunts will have employees that are burned out, don't want to be there and have little customer service. Not here! Every single employee, haunters or otherwise, were having the time of their lives. Many were talkative, polite and more than happy to help with questions. Incredibly amazed at just how nice everyone was.

The Haunt - I cannot say enough about this. The craftsmanship of the haunts was awe inspiring. There is so much imagination in the scares, the creatures and every single inch of both haunts. We all discussed after just how much there is to take in overall. Every single moment of the haunts is packed to the gills with inventive designs and things to gawk at in amazement. I feel like I could go through both upwards of 10 times and would find something new and unique about it every single time.

We cannot wait to go back next October and every year after that. I'm a Netherworld true believer now. This is proof that FANTASTIC haunts exist out there and that they aren't soulless cash grabs. Netherworld is obviously made with heart and a deep love of horror. Just the best. I'll be telling anyone who will listen about this for...

My wife & I live in the Birmingham Alabama area and we decided to hit as many haunted houses in the Atlanta area as we could in a night. So Friday, September 29th at 2 pm we left Birmingham headed to the Atlanta area. In this order, we went to Netherworld, Paranoia, Folklore, Nightmare’s Gate, and Hollis Haunted Chicken House. This is my review on Netherworld.

We have been to Netherworld about 5 times in the last several years. This is their last year in Norcross before they move to Stone Mountain Georgia. We arrived 15 minutes before they opened and I guess due to the fact that this was only their 3rd night open they were running a little behind. We were the first 2 people in the speed pass line, which gave us a unique look at what happens in preparation for opening. We also had the chance to talk to one of the actresses who told us that they have 150 people that have either makeup, wardrobe, or both done each night and that the makeup artist only spend about 10 minutes per person(which is crazy considering how awesome the outfits are and makeup is). Since we were the first 2 in line they let us go in a few minutes before everyone else so we pretty much got a private walk-through experience. The effects, decor, themes, animatronics, and actors are amazing. We have been going to haunted houses together for 7 years and Netherworld has never disappointed and is far superior over any other haunt we have visited. I don’t know how much they have invested in this place, but it must be several million dollars. We look forward to seeing their new location next year!

Primal Scream is their main haunt and it took us 20 minutes to walk through it. My wife screamed so much that she almost went hoarse and she tried to run several times (I hold onto her pretty tight to make sure she doesn’t take off into a wall or something). There were several new additions since the last time we came and we really enjoyed the new animatronics and scene setups. There are so many actors throughout the haunt that if you are a screamer you really won’t have a chance to recover from one scream before your screaming again.

Mr. Grendel’s Fun House of Horror is their 2nd haunt and it is a 3D setup. It took us about 10 minutes to walk through it. I have to say that is was hands down the best 3D haunt we have ever been in. Seriously, it made every other 3D haunt we have ever been in seem terrible. I also enjoyed that on our way out the monster that was waiting in the parking lot followed us a few hundred feet just to give my wife a little...
