Culinary Bliss at NOSH on Naples Bay!
If you're looking for an extraordinary dining experience that will transport your taste buds to gastronomic paradise, look no further than NOSH on Naples Bay. From start to finish, our visit to this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional.
First and foremost, the food at NOSH is truly outstanding. Every dish we sampled was a testament to culinary artistry, showcasing an impressive fusion of flavors and impeccable presentation. The seared scallop, perfectly cooked to tender perfection, was a delicate delight that left us wanting more. The duck fat potatoes, with their crispy exterior and melt-in-your-mouth interior, were pure indulgence. And the sweet corn, bursting with freshness and sweetness, was a delightful ode to summer.
For our main courses, I opted for the bouillabaisse, a seafood medley that whisked me away to the sun-soaked shores of Provence. The vibrant flavors and harmonious blend of spices in this dish were simply sublime. My husband savored every bite of his steak, which was expertly cooked to perfection, offering a juicy and tender experience that was second to none.
To top off our incredible meal, we ventured into the realm of desserts. I ordered the caramel chocolate sensation, and let me tell you, it was pure bliss. Each spoonful transported me to a realm of sweet indulgence, with the perfect balance of caramel and chocolate flavors dancing on my palate.
Oh, and don't even get me started on the Key Lime Tart! This heavenly creation showcases the perfect harmony of tangy key lime, delicate toasted meringue, and a swoosh of luscious raspberry sauce. Each bite is a symphony of flavors, leaving you craving for more of this exquisite culinary masterpiece. Chef's kiss

Read moreVisited Nosh in Naples with my mother, newborn baby, and pomeranian. We asked to be seated outside due to having our dog with us, and although there was available seating, the staff seemed bothered by the request. They initially tried placing us in an area with no fans, despite the heat and the fact I had a newborn with me. We had to ask specifically to be seated under the fans. That seemed like a problem too, no service will a smile, our request seemed like a burden.
From the moment we arrived, the service lacked warmth and professionalism. When my mother politely asked the woman who placed our menus if we could have some water, she didn’t even look at us and bluntly said, “I’m not a server.” No effort to explain our server would shortly be with us , no hospitality.
The food did appear to be made with quality ingredients which I liked - but it was not special, nothing that could make me overlook such poor service.
The most unacceptable part of our visit came at the end. My mother, who had just flown in from England to meet her grandchild, was unfamiliar with the U.S. payment process. I thought she didn’t fill out the check the “expected” way, the server quite literally chased us outside the restaurant to confront us, I tried to explain that in the UK, payments are handled by card machine at the table, and my mother simply wasn’t used to this system. The server then snapped, “They don’t tip?” I then realised my mom had correctly completed the cheque, the problem was the server was not happy with her tip. I clarified that I was talking about the payment method, not tipping customs—but she continued by saying they rely on tips to make a living.
That’s not the customer’s burden. Tips are earned through service—and this experience didn’t come close to deserving one. No one should be followed outside and made to feel embarrassed or shamed, especially when the service was not up to standards.
For a restaurant that markets itself as upscale, this was a classless experience. I’ve had far better, more gracious service at casual chains. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others, I’d much rather go to baleen - great food, great atmosphere and exceptional customer service!
The staff at this restaurant need to be trained again, I get the vibes that they are not trained to work in fine dining, I’ve had better experiences at the olive garden. They either all hate their jobs or don’t know what...
Read moreWe were excited to try out this restaurant as the ratings are high and when I am reminded that there is a $35 no show fee if I cancel my reservation less than 24 hours before, then this must be an amazing place to dine.
Our waiter was very attentive and stated all food options are excellent. We had reserved outside and even though there weren't that many tables it was quite noisy. The chairs are extremely heavy, but at least they won't fly away during a hurricane. We were 4 people and everyone ordered something different. Unfortunately, I guess I was the unlucky one.
My "Nosh" appetizer was white and green asparagus with a Bearnaise. The white asparagus was very thin and crunchy instead of soft as it should be. The green one was fine and the sauce was ok. I did not say anything as it might have been an oversight. Then I ordered the Daily special highly recommended by our waiter, The Local Red Snapper blackened over rice with a creole shrimp sauce. My first Red Snapper was burnt solid black, dry and worst of all completely oversalted. It was not edible. I had others at our table try just to make sure I wasn't being too sensitive. The waiter apologized and said they would make another. The manager then came and also apologized and stated it would be taken off the bill. The waiter then brought a new Red Snapper with the creole sauce separate, no garnish, but the Red Snapper was stated as only mildly blackened. The fish was perfect, glistening and flavorful. Unfortunately on this second attempt the rice was completely undercooked and crunchy. I ate the fish and some of the creole sauce, which was more of a mini shrimp marinara as there was not much Andouille sausage in it.
Perhaps one mistake led to another trying to rush and make it right. I did appreciate it being taken off the bill as each time it had issues and part were not edible, however I would have preferred just having had a nice dinner, especially for the price range and the high praise of the chef cook.
One of our guests who had the Butterfish just didn't want to say anything and the table next to us had a different dish they sent back oversalted as well.
Would I go again? Probably not, as we have so many other high value restaurants in Naples. I understand mistakes can happen, but it was just too many mistakes on every dish...
