A reservation was made, with my husband credit card number but with my name on the expedia reservation platform and the front desk would not allow him to check in but proceeds to say he will help him and request his credit card at this point what he is doing is creating a new reservation so he charges the card he did not wait until expedia edit the reservation. He then said we were now in charge of the 2 reservations, which now makes no sense because it is only one traveler. I contacted Expedia and they attempted to negotiate with the front desk and he refused to cancel any of the reservation and now calls the police to get my husband escorted of the property Expedia wasn't able to help, the police couldn't help, the front desk chose not to help. My husband is now left on the road side with 2 charges to his credit card from a room he did not use. This matter will be escalated it is now 11pm at night he has traveled 10 hours to receive this type of service. I travel often and have never seen disgusting service and staff that have no customer service or willingness to help. All this looks like a scam to me it was like walking into a plan that they know what they are doing because police arrived within minutes i suggest to pay a little more and stay in a better hotel that will make you feel welcome and treat you with respect. In life there is something called human error and he could have easily canceled one reservation. There is also a thing called be kind its free to us all. We don't need advice we needed a solution and someone who cared to help in a dark moment like this. We know better for future never stay in this chain unless you want the police to be called and left out in the cold. Heartless and cold service is what...
Read moreSo this weekend, my wife and I had a terrible experience with Extended Stay America.
Let me start by saying, we chose this place because they are dog friendly and I have stayed at various Extended stay america hotels in the past, sometimes for as long as a month, and have had good experiences.
We decided to go to Nashua, NH and found the extended stay america there. We called the Nashua location and booked the room with a lady over the phone. This past Friday evening , we made the 3 hour up drive up there. When we arrived at 730pm, cold, tired and hungry, we discovered from the front desk clerk that they had given our room away!! They were completely booked solid and refused to give us our room back or give us another room.
Apparently the front desk clerk we booked it with didn't take our credit card info, and the extended stay America computer system will automatically drop your reservation and give it to someone else, all without notifying you or asking for your credit card info. Talk about a great setup for treating your customers well!!
I called their 800 number and complained about this atrocious setup, and they said their customer service reps would be in touch within 48hrs, that was 5 days ago.....still nothing.
I just wanted to make this PSA to let others know of extended stay America's poor treatment of customers and poor customer service. I'd recommend avoiding them and going with a different hotel chain that won't give...
Read moreStayed here for a little over two weeks while waiting for our apartment to be renovated prior to move in. Got a ground floor room not too far from the lobby. Single queen, with two nightstands, a desk, a dresser, and a slightly dated TV (although, I could still play Skyrim on it, so it was quite serviceable). There was a small closet area with room for a week's worth of clothes, and a little bit of storage space. It has a small kitchen - a stove top with two burners, and a microwave, no oven. A small sink with enough room for prep and dish drying. I'll say - I've no idea where the bad reviews are coming from. This isn't the Hilton, folks - it's for extended stay on a budget. Yes, you have to schlep your trash to the trash room. If you want more towels before housekeeping day, you have to take those to the lobby and trade for them. Housekeeping is once a week, on the day specified on the little check in brochure. There's a coin op laundry on site, down the right hall from the lobby. All in all, quite comfortable stay. It surprised me how comfortable I was there - we started to settle in, even! lol If you're looking to stay someplace for a week or more, stay here and book through Priceline - it was easy, convenient, and I'd do it again in...
