We are currently staying at Holiday Inn Nashville Downtown Stadium and booked the “Breakfast and Parking Package” for 2 nights, noting 4 adults in our room and paying accordingly. To our shock, at breakfast we were told only 2 adults are included and that we would have to pay an additional $25 USD + tax for the other two.
Parking is currently free for all guests, so the extra cost of this package is literally just for 2 breakfasts. The breakfast itself is nothing special, just the standard fare we’ve had at every other Holiday Inn on our trip.
What’s truly frustrating is that the limitation to 2 adults is hidden deep in the fine print. It feels deliberately misleading and borderline deceptive.
We are extremely disappointed and will seriously reconsider booking any Holiday Inn in the future.
UPDATE
As we only had breakfast included for 2 members of our family for breakfasts, I went on the 2nd day and was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food offered. The cinnamon French toast was so stale that I could not even get a knife in and would very easily break a tooth. The crossaints were stale, they had wholemeal bread labelled as artesian white bread and the gravy had no flavour. I mentioned this to.the lady working in the area who took away the stale food and said she would try to do something about it, she never returned, as we were leaving they brought out fresh crossaints and French toast. So they had it, they just was hoping everyone would eat the stale food first.. disgusting! Decent customer service would have been told offer us the fresh options, not leave it until we leave before replacing, but clearly customer service is not a strong point if this hotel.
The complimentary coffee runs out they do not maintain or refill, so at 8pm.. good luck if you want one.
The receptionists were the rudest we have encountered for our entire trip, they were abrupt and made it clear that they dont want to deal with guests. When checking out i requested a printout of my receipt, every other hotel has offered. This particular receptionist huffed and told me that it would be emailed, when I asked for a printed copy she told me at I had booked through a third party, which was false as I only book direct, eventually she almost threw the receipt at me..
Staff here and the deceptive pricing and disregard for guests really let's down IHG.
There are so many other hotels to choose from.. the location of this one feels almost industrial..

The room was tiny, you couldn't even walk on the one side of the bed, had to crawl in from the foot of the bed to get to my side. The room was mostly clean, some leftover hair in the bathtub and straw wrappers on the floor but overall not horrible. The check-in staff were great. The porter was nice, but overly pushy in trying to help with our bags even after I politely declined multiple times the need for assistance. One elevator was broken, making there only one working elevator for a 9 story hotel. Not excited that I had to truck luggage up and down four flights of stairs since the one elevator was not enough for the flow. Unlike most all other Holiday Inn's, we had to pay $13/person for breakfast, and it was the worst breakfast of any of the 5 holiday Inn's we stayed in the past 2 weeks of our trip. Pool was one of the coldest we stayed in the past two weeks. Weird too with more "deep" end than area for kids to play. Rarely have I seen an 8 feet deep end in a hotel pool. They were out of bacon, and when she did finally put more out 25 mins after asking, it was undercooked microwave bacon at best. The scrambled eggs were full of water, bread and bagels we tried were stale, the "fresh" fruit was at least a few days old. No pancake or waffle machine like every other of the 40+ Holiday Inn's I stayed in 2024 have. Definitely worth going ANYWHERE else for breakfast and save your $13.00. Not knowing Nashville, I assumed "Downtown" meant near all of the bars / restaurants and Downtown. This place is a 10-12 min drive to most anything, and sits right next to the busy highway so you can hear the semi's rumbling through all night. Unfortunately the pros of the evening check in staff, outweighs the cons, and we will never...
Read moreOverall, what turned out to be a decent four-night stay did not end to well. After checking out and realizing that I left my Prescribed medication ($319) in the refrigerator, I called the hotel and the first lady I talked to said, “they would mail it to me” after willing to drive three hours back to retrieve it. So, I continued my trip. After not receiving a call back I talked to four different front office members, who stated they would check on it and never returned my call. After talking to the fifth person who states, (the medication must have been lost) I asked to speak with the manager - the staff sent me to Tosha. After explaining the entire event, Tosha said she would check on it and get back to me. Tosha did leave me a voicemail stating it was never found. I then tried to get back in touch with Tosha, I have left numerus voicemail’s days after with no return call, I even left a detailed message with Angel, the GM. Angel has yet to return my call. I would think he would at the least call me back since I just dropped $1,100 in his hotel. Keep in mind this was not a sock, pillow, clothing etc.. that was left in a room, this was prescribed medication with all my information on it. I would assume there is a process /policy for housekeeping when the rooms are cleaned and items are left behind/forgotten, especially medication that is labeled with personal information. Did housekeeping do their job - clean the room and just threw it out, or did they not complete a thorough cleaning, and the next guest threw it out. Keep in mind I was willing and able to drive back but was offered to have it mailed to me!!!! This is very unprofessional of the Front Staff, Assistant Manager and General Manager. I am appalled at not only the lack of professionalism, but the lack of communication as well. To just be told, the medicine is lost and be ignored is...
