TailGate Brewery Germantown — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

This brewery is located right next to the Nashville Sounds stadium, nestled in a lively neighborhood full of new apartments and restaurants. It’s a great area to explore, especially on a sunny day.

My wife and I stopped by around 1 p.m. on a Friday for a late lunch. The space is open and inviting, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Since the weather was nice, we grabbed a table outside, just steps away from one of the stadium entrances — a perfect spot for people-watching or soaking in the game-day atmosphere.

Food & Drinks: Whipped Ricotta Pizza: This is their signature handcrafted pizza, and it did not disappoint. The dough was freshly coal-fired — chewy without being too dense. The toppings were well-balanced: savory meats, just the right amount of saltiness, and a creamy finish from the fresh ricotta. Easily one of the best pizzas we’ve had in a while.

Beer Sampler (4 Types): • Guava: Light, refreshing, with a nice balance of sweet and tart. We both enjoyed it. • Tropical: Gorgeous red hue and a candy-like sweetness — a bit too sweet for our tastes, but still interesting. • Czech Pilsner: A crisp, light beer with a clean finish — my personal favorite. • Orange Wheat: Bright and citrusy, with a subtle kick. A close second for me.

Overall, both the food and drinks were excellent. With summer around the corner, I highly recommend this place for catching up with friends or family over a few drinks, a great pizza, and maybe even a game next door. It’s a laid-back gem in a buzzing...

Last weekend we had the most wonderful time at TailGate for our large group reservation. The service and pizza were amazing, and the coordination/communication with the TailGate staff and manager leading up to our gathering was outstanding.

We were looking for a spot where we could casually celebrate and have the freedom to go to the bar to order drinks (due to our group size), but also have a dedicated server (thank you again, Jaden! You were so funny and helpful the whole night) and pre-order a bunch of pizzas.

Most places in Nashville have a lot of restrictions and/or requirements for this type of request, but the manager, Austin, was so friendly and professional when we first inquired about booking with them that we simply stopped our search after our initial conversation. We truly appreciated how flexible they were to our request.

The entire staff made our night so special, and we cannot thank you enough. The pizzas were a huge hit and we even added more food to our bill last minute, which the kitchen accommodated effortlessly.

If you’re looking for a spot to host a large gathering, this is definitely your place! Just make sure you contact them in advance.

Tailgate is my favorite brewery in town! I’m not a beer person(I know I know) but they always have great seltzer and/or cider options! I love how friendly and happy the employees seem, probably comes from the owners caring about their employees and their benefit packages they offer them! The Germantown location is closest to me and such a cool space. When my best friend came to town to celebrate my birthday, I knew I had to take her to tailgate, so she could see one of my favorite hangouts. We ordered the pizza of the month - the Oktoberfest and she said “this honestly one of the best pizza I’ve had in a long time”! While hanging out we talked with some employees, Taylor and Georgianna, and they were absolutely fabulous!
