From the moment my daughter and I arrived from a long distant travel for a cheer competition, we were welcomed with a pleasant smile and warm greeting from Linda, who was manning the front desk at the time. She was very helpful when inquiring about local attractions and places to pick up necessities. The hotel was pristinely clean, smelled fresh and not stuffy, and although carpet was placed in the hallways was well maintained. Knowing that this is a renovated property, it was redesigned well and all areas of design made it quite efficient. The room key could be obtained digitally or you could pick it up at the front desk. The room itself is smartly designed for the modern minimalist, which afforded everything you absolutely needed in a stay. It was well lit, spacious enough, super clean, and not cluttered with unnecessary design pieces that tend to get in a way in a standard queen bed room. The furniture could move in ways to create the space needed, for exampled the table, roll out to full desk or luggage stand. The beds were comfortable and the sheets smelled clean along with the pillows. They did not smell of sweat, as we know pillows, themselves, are not usually thrown into the wash. The parking is extremely convenient. Staff were very friendly! Location is great, right next to the Gaylord and Opry Mills mall. My daughter and I felt safe. I truly would recommend this stay to anyone traveling with...
Read moreWe had a pleasant family experience at the Spark hotel. It was nothing fancy, but then we knew what we were getting when we signed up. We were coming for a value trip to see some family, so we didn’t mind the trim down amenities.
The hotel itself is a conversion from comfort Inn, very clean, modern decor. Lots of gathering space in the main lobby. Rooms themselves have comfortable beds, no dressers, just open shelving and hangers.
Breakfast is a paired down continental, with cereal, bagels, boiled eggs, and oatmeal. Coffee is weak, so I tended to have about 3 cups to get what I would normally have in my one :-)
All the exterior entrances aside from the lobby have key lock entry and there are cameras by the elevators of all floors so you can feel relatively safe. Appropriate for business or families.
Staff was very friendly, and our only complaint would be that the faucet in our bathroom was a little on the short side and the water ran over the back of the sink, leading us to have to leave a towel behind our faucet every day. Had a bit of a musty smell coming from the drain pipe too .
Overall, you get what you pay for and it was exactly...
Read more2 stars because the bed was comfortable. Check-in took abnormally long, and my request for a late check out (i was the only car in the parking lot when checking in at 6 pm) was met with a lot of skepticism. The elevator was very beat up, and i was given and accessible room (I don't need an accessible room, she told me I booked an accessible room). There was no chair at the desk in the room, so I called the front desk, twice, no answer. I went all the way back down to the front desk to ask why there wasnt a chair. She put me in a different room that had clearly been smoked in before, but still no chair. I called again, she said the chair was the small backless stool in the closet. This is unacceptable, how can anyone work at a desk on a stool? She then allowed me to take a hard plastic chair from the breakfast area..which leads me to the hilarious breakfast. Bagels, plain cream cheese, butter. Yougurt. No fresh fruit etc. This is NOT "continental". I'm loyal to Hilton but I'll never stay at this brand and certainly not this location. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, but this is not a hotel for a...
