THE PLACE for REAL country music in Nashville, TN! The bar is away from all the glitter and glamour of Broadway in downtown, giving room for the real sounds that made Nashville what it is, or should I say, what it was! Folks, you'll not hear any bro country here. You'll not deal with teenage drunks requesting Wagon Wheel or Sweet Home Alabama for the 50th time, you'll find an atmosphere of friendly people enjoying drinks, music, and just having an all around good time! My wife and I visited here on 12/28 and 12/29. It is located in a small shopping mall area behind a few restaurants and hotels but it is well worth the visit! Our first night we arrived as the Vince Moreno Band was setting up, and when they started, man what a show. Vince had Tom Killen, steel guitar player for 30 years with George Jones, playing with him, along with the fiddle player for Mark Chesnutt. We didn't notice til about an hour into their set when a man jumped up from a couple tables in front of us and went on stage... and it was Collin Raye who sang some of his hit songs like "Love, Me" and several Merle Haggard songs! The bartender, Dillon, was great and he remembered what we were drinking, all I did was make eye contact, nod my head, from our table close to the bar, and here he came! Dillon is as deserving of a good tip as much as the bands! For ANYONE who wants to hear the sounds of the Hag, the Possom, Cash, Waylon, Willie, Whitley, you name it... then DO NOT miss this place! Thank you guys for keeping real country music alive! We will be...

Stopped in at this bar for drinks and music, sit in a both for 30 + minutes, in between songs I finally had to ask from across the room to the bartender and asked if we were going to get waited on or did we need to come to the bar to order, he replied I'm the only one here. I got up to leave and replied it would hv been nice for him to communicate to people coming in before they sit there for an half hour that he don't wait tables,on our way out he said by, This is the reason the bar is empty,.BAD BUSINESS. SCOREBOARD BAR PACKED FOR GOOD REASON GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, IM FILLING THE REVEIW AT NASHVILLE PALACE ALSO PACKED AND HAD OUR DRINKS IN 2 MINUTES, WONT EVER GO BACK TO THIS BAR,,,,4/30/2023,,,,Bottom line with only 5 people sitting at the bar maybe 4 he could bring us a beer, nobody else in the bar but the 5 guys at the bar and he was the only one working was his answer to the reason he couldn't bring us a beer, and on our way out the door he shouts out BY , I live here iv been in this bar several times and have had a great time. But it don't take but 1 time to loose...

Anyone can play here, you do not have to have any musical talent or know anything about sound to play here. Most musicians that play here are tone death. Also, Look out for the Bartenders here, you might get threatened or feel threatened by them. They do play Classic Country but not any Rock N Roll Music. Prepare yourself with some ear plugs, not a bad place to drink or eat with a good Country settings and feel to the place. Just beware of the music and the way it sounds. It could only be my opinion, If it is, everyone could be tone death going to this place so you might like everything about this place. As for me, Every Drummer sucks, only one person plays the Keys here, The Acoustic Guitar Players and Singers need lessons, there are not any solid Bass Players that play here, The Steel Guitar players are decent, only 3 lead Guitar players are good and only one is great for his age but because they live and grew up in Nashville. If you have a young musician that is eager to learn how to play music in the family, Nashville is a good place...

We came because Music City Bar and Grill was recommended to us. I was on a mother/daughter trip w/ an underaged child. There is a sign on the door stating that “no one under 21 is allowed in the bar.” The whole place is a bar, no restaurant-just a heads up. We were able to sit and enjoy live music and eat though. The food is typical bar food-but the portions were huge and really good. The pretzel was delicious! Service is slow and it’s a bit confusing, as you seat yourself, get a menu from the bar and order food and drinks from the bartender. Not a big deal but it can be confusing if it’s your first time there. The live music was good and the atmosphere had some cool decor.

The server was super sweet, but the service was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced. We waited over 20 minutes to order food & decided to just leave rather than wait any longer. We also had a drink tab open and after deciding we were just going to leave, we waited 15+ minutes just to close our drink tab (two drinks). There was only one bartender and one server and although there was a decent crowd, I felt like others who arrived after us were prioritized. The menu was also very limited and not overly appealing. The live music was pretty cool, but overall I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We dropped in to just check the place out with a party of five. We ordered some food and had some drinks. There was what we thought was just a live band playing. We were wrong. It was a band that put on a show for us and the food was fantastic. Joey Schmidt (Alan Jackson’s key board player) was there playing in the band! They had great singers with great jokes! Including a guy that referred to himself as “Fraud Stewart”. Great food! Great environment! Very entertaining! It was truly incredible!
