Saturday evening Sept 14th, I was at your restaurant with my wife. We sat at the bar, and we were having a great evening. We enjoyed drinks and service with the 2 bartenders, which was great. Lindsay gave us the review card, and the other bartender was also an "L" name. They were very busy and working hard. At some point, the bartender was trying to communicate with a server about a drink they were out of when, (what we found out later was a manager) spoke to the server, interrupting the conversation. This "manager" female with brown hair (which we found out from the host, is named Linda), so I hope that is an accurate name. Verbally barraded this server in a very aggressive and unprofessional manner. The server stayed calm, a young man I never got his name. As he attempted to talk with this "manager," she became more aggressive and pushy. It made not only my wife and I uncomfortable, but quite a few others we talked to at the bar. A few minutes later, there was an even more explosive argument that occurred in front of staff and customers. The young man, the server, stated she was professional and emotionally charged and not a good manager. She became more loud and verbal complaining to another older man who approached her. Our bartender spoke up and said this is a conversation that can happen in the office and not in front of customers. My wife and I decided to close our tab and take our meal To go. If this is how your managers treat staff and is allowed to the point we found out the server left his job in the middle of the shift is unbelievable, you staff such herritic "leaders." I not only will avoid dinning there since drama unfolds on, what we were informed of by a regular customer, as what they hear. And I quote him, "You always hear the ppl yelling in the back at the staff." Is not a place I care to spend a relaxing evening dining with my wife and will NOT be coming back to...
Read moreMy party of five ate here in our recent girls weekend and it was a great experience. We were seated quickly, even though it was Friday night. Our waitress was very personable, answered questions and provided excellent recommendations. We started off with the Southwest shrimp & Southwest egg rolls, both excellent choices. Large portion of shrimp, full of flavor but not too spicy. The egg rolls were even better, full of flavor, crispy outside wrapper and warm delicious chicken, corn & bean filling. And don't forget the yeast rolls & cinnamon butter! Two in our group had steaks; both came out cooked as ordered, seasoned well, tender, and juicy. One person had ribs and chicken. The chicken had a little to much seasoning for their taste (but I thought it was fine) and the ribs were fall off the bone tender. Not sure what kind of bbq sauce they use but it was great. One person in of group had the pork chops: the chipotle glaze on these was fantastic. They were a tiny bit dry but the flavor of the glaze & portion size more than made up for that. The final person in our group just did soup and salad. She wanted to try the Southwest soup but wasn't sure about it. After ordering the waitress brought her a condiment size cup of the soup so she could try, just to make sure she was going to like it. And she did!! Overall our party was very pleased with our choice to eat here for dinner. Excellent food, great staff, and fantastic prices!! The decor and atmosphere were the only things that didn't make this a 5 out 5 star experience. Decor was the typical steakhouse look, nothing exciting or different. Also it was a little warm in the restaurant. Granted it was 90 plus degrees outside, so it was understandable but it was...
Read moreFor a Monday night, it wasn't very busy. The food was pretty good. I got a sirloin and it was a little bit over seasoned but still very good. The rolls were a pretty good dupe for Texas Roadhouse, even the cinnamon butter was a pretty good match. I got HUGE cheese sticks. They looked amazing, but honestly didn't have much flavor to them. They were coated in like plain panko breading which was disappointing. I only ate one in the restaurant and brought the other 3 home and put them in the air fryer for 4 minutes at 375° when I reheated them. I added some Italian seasoning to them and they were just right so if the restaurant just uses Italian seasoning panko, the cheese sticks would be perfect. But I guess they sacrificed quality over quantity. That's my pointer finger next to them. They are HUGE. Now being that they were slow, my server checked on me about every 30 seconds for the first 20 minutes I was there. I travel for work and dine out alone so maybe he felt the need to check on me more often than if I was with company. Eventually I told him he didn't have to check on me so much and then he only came back every 5 minutes or so. I'm not knocking him for doing his job, I respect him for listening when I told him he didn't have to check on me so much. He was very sweet. In my photos, you can see the amount of seasoning on my steak and the plain panko breading. Everything was good, just wish there was a tad less on the steak and a tad more on the cheese sticks....
