Cordova — Hotel in Neptune Township

Be aware this is a rooming house NOT a B&B. I spent a few days on this place only because my money was non-refundable. ||||Where do I start?:||||The “Managers”: There is a couple that supposedly “manage” the place. They are only there couple of hours every day to check people in and take their money (cash only). The rest of the day they just leave to either the beach or “church” but they are never around. You can ring their bell for hours and they won’t answer. By the way stay away from the lady manager because she has the worst attitude I’ve seen in years. She hates her job and hates customers. Sometimes you feel like she is going to rip your eyes out. Trash piles up for days. They don’t clean the building or common areas at all. Like I said they are just there to take your money but don’t expect anything from them. Oh and the tenants are responsible for cleaning their own rooms and bathrooms because the “managers” don’t do housekeeping. ||||Bed bugs: All over the place. I had to buy a new comforter, sheets and pillow cases the room was infected. I had to burn my clothes when I returned from my trip because I was covered on bb’s.||||Tenants: Mostly section 8 or welfare. Don’t expect to see tourists or vacationers there unless they are tricked into believing that this is a B&B. There are a whole bunch of nasty guys that don’t work and all they do every day is sitting around drinking and smoking pot and trying to make advances on girls. There was a crazy man that knocked at my door after midnight asking for a light. There are cameras located on each floor but apparently they don’t record and the managers are never around to watch. Every other day, the fire department has to come to the building because someone is smoking and sets the fire alarms off. I had my own refrigerator in the room but I overheard tenants complaining that on the main kitchen even food get stolen. You really feel unsafe in this place specially if you are a woman.||||The only perk is the location. You are literally two blocks from the Ocean Grove beach. Everything else is a nightmare. This is probably one of the worst places I’ve ever seen and it’s a shame because it has potential.||||If you are the hippy type this is the place for you. Otherwise stay away from it.||||Don’t let this review discourage you from going to Ocean Grove. It’s one of the nicest old-fashioned towns at the shore. There are dozens of B&B’s in the area that are cleaner...

I post this review, not to be mean or negative, rather to warn the uninformed who dont truly know what they are in for when they book a room. While I have not been inside, I do live near by. This seems more like a shelter than a B&B, with couples fighting and being arrested, cops are there regularly, warrants being served on residents, it's really not any place I would stay if I was looking for a quaint Ocean Grove B&B, unless you want to be on an...
