I am shocked and deeply upset about the way my 13-year-old daughter was treated today at The Victorian Grill. She went out for lunch with three of her friends, simply hoping to enjoy a pleasant afternoon. Instead, she returned home feeling humiliated and emotionally hurt. Throughout the entire time they were at the restaurant, the waitress continuously gave my daughter hostile and unfriendly looks. While all the other guests in the restaurant were served water in clear cups, my daughter was given a red cup. For the people who are favoring the restaurant, thinking the cups may be dirty, the next group received the clear cups. To make matters worse, when she politely thanked the waitress after receiving her food, the waitress ignored her but responded to the other girls. Both my daughter and her friends noticed this discriminatory behavior. A person can easily tell if they are being discriminated against and humiliated. She is still in shock and struggling to understand why she was singled out. What breaks my heart the most is that she felt too intimidated to speak to the manager about what happened, afraid of causing a scene or drawing attention to herself. No child or adult should ever be made to feel that way. Although we do not have the name of the waitress, we have photos and witnesses who observed the incident. I sincerely hope the management at The Victorian Grill takes this matter seriously and investigates what is happening within their establishment. Please be reminded that under Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, businesses are prohibited from discriminating against customers based on race, color, religion, or national origin. It's shameful that I have to refer to the 1964 code. What world do we live in where we can't treat...
Read moreHorrible place with zero service. I'd give zero stars if possible. I go inside to order and the guy at the counter says I can sit outside and get SERVICE which is a crock of nonsense so I sit outside and wait 15 minutes just to get a menu. Then the server NEVER came back. The guy inside at the counter not taking my order was more than enough for me to say adios!
Obviously I left and they lost a potential customer. I never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. Oh well I'll stick with restaurants that know how to treat a customer.
One last thing : I was there on a Monday night and it wasn't that busy. I should have read the other reviews because apparently several people are complaining about the bad service. Get your act together or you won't stay in business much longer.
Update: OBVIOUSLY the owner doesn't get it with the Same standard reply to several other complaints about bad service. Maybe it's your poor way of doing business and not me? Hmm.
SIR YOU NEED TO GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH STAFF TO HANDLE BASIC VOLUME ON A MONDAY you'll never be able to stay in business much longer. This isn't a top of the line steakhouse its a burger place with food made to order. I have news for you friend: several restaurants in the area make good fresh to order but know how to serve people properly by hiring enough staff.
Next time let me order at the counter because your idea of service isn't working. Just a...

Checked out the menu online as we were in the mood for a good burger. We liked what we saw so we came by later in the evening. There was no crowd and plenty of seats for us outside.
We ordered the Truffle fries as an appetizer. They were decent enough: far from the most decadent, but definitely more than just the regular fries. The mains were a regular hamburger, cooked well-done and a B & B burger (bourbon sauce and Bleu cheese), cooked medium. Both came with and accurately described "handful of fries." The regular burger was chewy and had fat globs that made it a disappointing pattie. The B & B was cooked nicely, but disappointingly used Bleu cheese dressing rather than chunks of Bleu cheese. The bourbon sauce was sweet and complimented the burger, and they cooked the bacon to a crispy compliment, but the sauce mixed with the dressing was a runny, drippy mess. The seasoned fries were on par with the experience.
If you want a burger, this place will suit your needs, but it is a far cry from the best you ever could have. Thankfully, the service was friendly and pleasant, giving some positives to the...
