It is never my thing to go online and give a bad survey since I am in the industry of customer service and satisfaction it is a big thing to me and our company. I am honestly dissapointed and will never recommend this place to my peers, employees, friends and family. Specially we all travel a lot for business purposes. I checked in August 11-13, 2016 @ 2pm. I came back from a long day of work and my room has water all over the side of my bed. I checked where the water is coming from and it was from the celling and it is also flowing down the wall. I immediately called the desk attendant (madeline) and let her know whats going on. She came in checked the room and she said it might be coming from the bathroom in the second floor which made me feel disgusted. Who wouldn't be? Now im kinda paronoid if its coming from the tub or the toilet?. She said she will talk to her boss (Vapul) and they will transfer me in another room. I started packing my stuff and get ready to transfer. After 30mins she came back with extra towels on her hands and their solution is to just put towels on the floor. She apologize that all rooms are reserved and said that she will send someone early morning to fix the leaking. Right there I should have known better to leave but since it was already too late for me to look for another accomodation at 12midnight, I am not from the area and lastly I have to get some rest for a long training the next day I took the chance to stay. At 3am all I heard is the drops of water on the floor the towels are already soaking and its not absorbing anymore which makes it hard to sleep. I have to constantly change the towels on the floor so it doesn't make that noise. Two guys came in the next day and said that they fixed the problem they told me it is coming from an air condition pipe (made me feel a little relieved). Friday night, I came back from my store and the water is all over the floor again! Are u kidding me??!! I called the lady madeline for the second time and told her that it is not fixed! she said she will call her boss (Vapul) to get me a room (same thing she told me the night before). She called me back an hour and half later saying they have a single room available smaller than the room I was charge for (paid for a queen size room) and mind you they charge higher in the weekend about $130-$135. First of all waiting for an hour and half to get an answer is ridiculous when it was just yesterday we had the same issue. They expect me to gathering my stuff at 12:44am, transfer in another room and get situated when u have to be up at 6am the next day. It was a horrible experience overall and It is sad because I was just telling madeline that I liked the area the day I checked in. I even told my co-manager to try this place if she will be in the area. But the way this whole experience goes I DONT THINK SO THEY DESERVE OUR BUSINESS.. We travel a lot for business purposes and I paid a lot more in this place than when I was in Vegas. At the end of the day it is not how cheap or expensive or fancy a business like this survive in this Industry. It is how u create and maintain a good customer sevice specially handling guest who had bad experience on their first day in your establishment. I left unhappy but even so I still gave your house keeper a tip for doing her job. I hope the management here will work on providing your guest a...
Read moreSTAY AWAY!!! My girlfriend and I were doing a 5 day road trip through the northeast states. We were sleeping in my car throughout the trip, but i began to get ill, and was struggling to fall asleep in the car. So we decided to get hotel so i can catch-up on sleep and recover. My girlfriend booked through Expedia, and we arrived around 4:30pm. When we got to reception the lady behind the counter didn't make an effort to even greet us. We got the room key and headed up to our room. The key card didn't work, so we had to go back to reception and get it reset. We finally got in our room and was greeted with a bit of untidy room. All the drawers were open, some were missing, fridge and microwave were open and unplugged. Since my nose was stuffy i couldn't smell anything but, my girlfriend said that it smelled of smoke and weed. I was exhausted so i took a nap. I couldn't sleep much due to someone blasting music near by with extra bass, some song on repeat for hours. It was still day time so i guess i can't complain much about noise. My girlfriend went to go shower and she saw roaches in the tub! The washroom was very dirty, and towels we're dirty, and still had hair in them. Yuck. My girlfriend went down to reception and told them the towels were dirty, and there were bugs. The receptionist didn't care, she didn't even offer to get us new towels or to change our room. My girlfriend was very uncomfortable staying in this hotel, so we packed up our stuff and checked out, asking for our money back. The receptionist said she couldn't do anything since we've been the room for a couple of hours already, and said we'd have to speak to the manager the next day at 10:30am. She told us to leave our number and the manager would contact us. We left and ended up sleeping in the car. We contacted Expedia about our experience and they said they will get into contact with the hotel to help us get our money back. We called Expedia the next day for an update, and they said they were struggling to get a hold of the manager, stating that the receptionist said ' the manager just went out for lunch, and won't be back for another hour.' we also tried contacting ourselves but clearly they were trying to avoid us. Expedia wasn't able to get our money back, but they gave us $25 coupon. I would recommend you stay away from this place. Spend a little more...
Read moreGiving to stores based on previous days where rooms were clean and without issue. Most recent states had bugs in the bathroom, and an additional $25 charge for “smoking in the room despite the entire building smelling smoky.
The irony of it is, they tell me to keep my balcony door closed to prevent the smoky smell, but when I entered my room last night, balcony door was open already.
For the price, it’s an OK place to stay in the area during the summer. But I would caution you to expect random price gouges, extra fees, managers that can’t be found, and managers that seem to speak very little English, and or Spanish followed by being banned from the hotel for “smoked in the room on the bed. Next time they come to get a room they must pay a $25 fine non refundable.”
And asking to have a conversation with the manager, where I not only waited around for five hours to speak with him, but was told that he’s not going to have a back-and-forth conversation with me and threaten to call the police on me.
So as I sit here in my car in the parking lot of the establishment, waiting for the police to show up,
I would urge you all not to leave ashes, or smoky material on the bed from your smokeless tobacco as I did apparently. As per the manager, they check if you were smoking in the room by looking for ashes cigarette butts and the like.
And secondly, I urge you to not speak with the manager, and expect a back-and-forth or two-sided conversation if you will. Explain to him my disappointment in their Pelsey process, as well as finding bugs in the room while praising him for my previous days, despite having some of the worst things in my life happen here is apparently not worth managements. Time to hear how they could’ve change someone’s life for better, or for worse by maybe just taking even the time to listen.
