Based On the Room Sacred Stones: Number of Escape Rooms Done: 41 First Room at Solve it Sherlock
TL;DR Fun Experience, Private Room and enough room/puzzles for a group of 4-6 people to not be left out, and I do plan to come back again :)
First thing that stands out is that all the rooms are private experiences, which even post-covid is sometimes rare to see. But being able to play amongst your own group without having to worry about dealing with strangers is always an major plus when looking for a fun time.
Walking in Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and made sure everyone was having a good time, only nit pick here is that the waiting area while very nice is quite small, so if you get there early might have to stand a bunch, and post game not much room to decompress and relax.
As for the Rooms/Puzzles: Everything is well maintained and there weren't any obvious instances of puzzles not working even when the solution was found. Props and Decor were very immersive and everything that you physically touch/interact with was high quality, only complaint would be the Indiana Jones hat was too small for me to wear comfortably đ„
Puzzles were all interactive so there were no locks/keys. Personally I enjoy these types of puzzles more. The logic behind the puzzles was also very good with nothing I would consider "Designer Logic" and most were very satisfying to complete. The one thing to be aware though is that because of the theme, many of the symbols are very similar while being different, so for some this may seem overwhelming and confusing.
Overall I had a lot of fun and plan on returning and would recommend whether this is your 1st...
Read moreAnother day, another Escape Room and I have to say about "Solve It Sherlock' - WOW to the umpteenth power!!!
"Legend Of The Pines" - you want a really cool linear room with the most awesome ambience? Locals will love this room as it is all about our local legend The Jersey Devil.
"The Magician's Secret" - you want a carefully thought out logic room? Solve the secret with some of the hardest but most satisfying puzzles.
"Pirates Of The Golden Skull" - prepare yourself to be taken for a loop right from the start and don't be surprised if you find one puzzle to make you laugh as it has one of the most creative puzzles I've ever seen.
"Sacred Stones" - a brand new room that was only in operation for two days now; and I have to say the ambience is amazing for one of your "Mayan / Inca" type temple rooms. The puzzles are difficult but very satisfying.
"Quarantine" - did someone say Zombie Outbreak? OMG to this day I use this room as the standard for other rooms for puzzles (types) and satisfaction. Seriously, if you are an Escape Room addict or just a novice - book "Quarantine" ASAP.
Catherine is a wonderful and knowledgable manager and I must say a delight to talk with AND have her as a game master (and having been a game master myself, i have high standards for them).
I look forward to a new room from them because they are batting 5 for 5 - hence the 5 star review.
Thank you for all the...
Read moreHad one very good experience another not so much. The magicians has a certain puzzle piece that even after finding the clues out doesn't work too well due to the electronic sensors. It took us 20 minutes to line it up properly as you have to line it up properly and in order 6 times, with faulty sensors.
That's not puzzle solving. That's hardware troubleshooting.
The pirate one was very fun though. and great staff both times.
Edit per reply: I will try not to give too many details about the specific puzzle, however the issue is there is a magnetic sensor on a large circular object at various points, the magnetic sensor is not lined up with the shape in the clue, and has to be shifted very carefully. The puzzle itself is super simple, follow the pattern of colors. But aligning it up carefully with the markers not aligned and the magnetic sensor so specific is awful. Even after knowing the answer it still takes multiple tries to spin that around. Again, not a puzzle as much as hardware...
