IHOP — Restaurant in Neptune Township

After yesterday's vist we will not be back. My mother in law loves IHOP and we decided to go as a family . 2 tables who were sat after us got their food before us . Our appetizers came out with the food and we're cold . I order biscuit with gravy and it was cold like it came out of the fridge . Requesting a refill and waited 10 minutes for that . I asked the waiter to please bring me hot gravy he said okay never got it . We left a 10% tip in cash and handed it to him directly due to the poor service and he took the bill to charge us when I noticed the amount that we were charged was 19. Dollars different than the bill, he added gratuity. After we already handed him the tip and we were walking out , i requested to speak to the manager. And the only thing that she could tell me is they automatically add gratuity when there is six people.I asked her why the waiter never stated that and why he would have taken a cash tip and then added the gratuity.After he took the cash tipAnd she said the only thing that she could do was try to see if she could reverse the credit card tip, but that she would have to avoid the transaction and recharge us. This is disappointing, and I think, on some level, it's probably fraud. If the restaurant automatically adds gratuity to the bills, it should be stated up front. Especially when the service does not deserve a fifteen or a twenty...

I would give this place negative stars if I could. The worst part of the visit was our SUPER RUDE waitress, Jamie. She had an attitude the whole time, refused to split the check, refused to bring a new pot of coffee for a whole table that was drinking it and the first pot wasn't hot either. She actually yelled at my mom for taking the toast my MIL gave her since her meal came out first (they both ordered the same kind of toast too!). The food took forever and the place wasn't even busy - they tried to bring us the wrong food twice - the eggs I ordered over medium actually came out raw and clear, disgusting and unsafe. Because our table had enough people she automatically got a huge tip. I am a great tipper and always give 20%, I would have given her NOTHING for how horrible she was to everyone. We went during the Grinch Christmas promotion and that part of it was disappointing too - no sprinkles, a little greasy whipped cream slopped off the side of the pancakes, it wasn't even close to the pictures on the menu and tasted like garbage. I can only imagine how disappointed a kid would be ordering it. I'll never go back...

This was Epic! The place is lit so dreary, the waitress appeared to have taken the order because what was received was wrong! To start the cold brew with foam was sour and a strange taste, the he blueberry pancakes the fruit was clearly not edible it too was sour , I ordered an omelet simple with jalepeno tomato spinach onion and avocado. What I received was an omelet with spinach on outside and cheese that was not melted. I used the knife to see if the othe components were inside it wasn’t . I told the waitress and she brought same eggs just with missing items. I am not a dog to be shoving a plate to. The manager never came and spoke to us but held the hostess in conversation only, her face was arranged like she is angry. Bothe the manager and hostess were less than pleasant.This place needs new management to sell sour food is not acceptable! Periodt the cook needs to be FIRED!!!!
