You will REGRET booking a stay in this hotel if you do it. Forget about the cheaper price, the location, or any other promised amenities this place is not fit for humans to stay in. On July 7, 2025 my family booked 2 rooms in lower Manhattan wanting to see NYC for the first time. We came in tired and checked in to the Tribeca Hotel Fidi thinking that the "good price" was a deal. Our rooms were on the third floor (room 33 and 34) and as soon as we arrived we noticed that as we entered the temperatures were set to 60 degrees. It was freezing cold so we raised the thermostat to a manageable low 70s. In any case we sought to take a nap, being tired from the long trip, and from the onset there was nothing noticeably wrong with the room other than some warped furniture (a seat whose pleather was crusting away and a desk that looked a little warped as well). We woke up an hour later noticing that the floors had been coated with a good 2-3 millimeters of water and the mirrors were fogged up. The bedding was noticeably damp as well as all other furniture. Our clothes felt wet too. The air was thick with humidity. Thankfully, my wife and I carefully took steps around the bed or we would have fallen. It was like someone ran a sauna in the whole room. What made matters worse is that the floors were concrete and slippery. We noticed that the problem was that their air conditioner had open slits around the unit which let the humidity of the city in. So if the air was not on a freezing cold temperature the room would fill with humidity. Our choices were grim, either we could freeze ourselves and keep the air evaporating fast or we could be warm and wet. After awhile the humidity was too much and we reported it to the front desk. The lady acted so surprised like she did not know. We took a video of it and showed her. My brother's room next to me (room 34) was even worse. But they promised to fix it. So we went out and came back that same evening thinking they might have plugged the open vents around the air and fixed it, but no. They only mopped the floor dry, cleaned the fogged up mirror with Windex and BUMPED the air to 60 degrees AGAIN!! So after another hour there we could not stand it and told the front desk we were not going to spend the night in those atrocious conditions. One because a slippery concrete floor gathering humid water on it by the hour was dangerous. Two because we began to feel the growing humidity on our clothes. Three because the humidity began to kick up a mildew smell in the whole room. It was something I have never seen before in my life even when I stayed the night in a roach infested hotel. So we booked another hotel and finally went downstairs to tell them that even though we had checked in earlier that afternoon, we could not stay the night, much less the three nights, that we had reserved because of the poor conditions and because given the chance they did not fix the issue. Well then things got worse. The lady at the front desk demanded to see our video evidence. We showed her at least two videos and photograph evidence. And at first she said she could refund the money if we just called Expedia, but then something changed. She proceeded to call her family (perhaps the owners or higher ups). They came down and acted like it was so surprising. They began to speak in another language in front of us, but did not want us to leave. I repeatedly, told them that the decision to leave was already made. They were not having it. They said they could move us. We responded politely but firmly that we already found another hotel and we were gone. They then refused to give our money back so I called Expedia. Apparently, ONLY IF the hotel agrees can your money be returned. Then they agreed two return 2 of the 3 nights but let me foot the bill for $408.15 of the night I never spent for 2 rooms. Even Expedia said they could do nothing. So I went to my Credit Card Chase Sapphire and they took care of the problem. In short, stay away from here and beware Expedia reviews because they contract with these hotels too.

Do NOT choose this hotel based off of its phenomenal location or its false 5 star reviews that are obviously fabricated when examining them closely, nor should you listen to whatever response that the manager will write below this review. We had quite the experience. We booked three nights with Tribeca Hotel FiDi and arrived for our first night on Monday, July 7th. The owners were kind when we needed to drop off our things early in their storage room since we arrived three hours prior to our stay and had plans. We came back around 4pm to pick up our things out of storage and headed to our rooms. This location is owned by a large family. They were all cleaning which put at an initial ease over the poor reviews I had read before booking. We unlocked our door and examined the room. No, it was not a 5 star location but that is not what we were expecting because the price was a deal for the convenient area. We noticed the room was FREEZING, set at an uncomfortable and an unnecessary 60 degrees. We adjusted it to 70 degrees and my husband took a nap. As he napped, I noticed the room becoming wetter and wetter. The mirror in the bedroom portion was completely fogged over and the floors looked glossy. I began to use my knowledge of how air conditioning works and studied the AC unit. I noticed a huge 2 inch gap all around our unit that led straight to the outdoors. Around that same time, my brother in laws in the next room sent me a text stating that their floor was soaking wet. I went over to see how wet. I was astonished at my findings. Their room was 20 times wetter than ours. It was a dangerous, hazardous mess of water from one side of the room to the other. It looked as though six gallons of water had been dumped on the floor. That is when I began to investigate further. I went over to the AC unit and noticed they too had a large gap around their whole unit almost as big as the gap we had around our unit and it too led straight outdoors. My brother in laws stated they had also entered to a FREEZING 60 degree room and had turned it up to 70. I continued to understand what the owners might be up to. They knew about the gaps since air conditioning needs a seal around a unit in order to do its job which is to remove the moisture from the air but the owners had to compensate for the gaps by cranking the AC down to a freezing 60 degrees in order to keep the rooms dry. They hope their tenants like the cold AC so the issue goes unnoticed. We video taped everything on our phones and took pictures, then headed down to the front desk to show the owners the issue to give them a chance to fix the problem (but I knew they wouldn't be able to without maintenance repairs and time). We went to do more exploring and came back to a completely dry, freezing room once again. This time with a Windex bottle left behind that they used to clean the evidence off of the mirrors and floors, and a renewed hope that we would accept the frigid, unbearable temperatures and the problem would expunge. We put the room back to a tolerable and appropriate 70 degrees, within an hour the same issue re-occured. We pack our bags, head downstairs, and I pulled out my phone once again to show that the floors were still just as wet once the AC was turned up to a normal and tolerable 70 degrees. The lady at the front desk calls her whole family (all the owners) to come see. They said they would move us to another room but I assured her that all the rooms were this same way. She attempted to assure me other wise but admits the rooms #33 and #34 were wet simply because it is hot outside, as though this was supposed to comfort us and cause us to accept these miserable conditions. I told her we were leaving and expect our money back, she stated they would only refund two of three nights. Now we need your help as a reader, like this post! Get the owners to update their place or close for good! There are other one star reviews that state the rooms become wet! They have full knowledge of the issues and yet let people spend their money here.

We stayed at Tribeca FiDi for 2 nights, and it was one of the most exasperating hotel stays of my life. Let me highlight 3 major issues. *ISSUE 1: Room Without Hot Water* We paid the early check-in fee of $40 and were given a room at 10am. We then realised that the room had no hot water (despite it being super cold outside), and the maintenance guy said that the room’s hot water was not working. I told the counter staff about this issue and asked for a refund of the early check-in fee, given that the room failed to meet its basic standards. The counter staff then lied to me saying that the hot water was available at the time of my early check-in, and malfunctioned later on. Nonetheless, he gave us a new room, which brings me to ISSUE 2. *ISSUE 2: Unclean and Hazardous Room* When we entered the new room, we discovered a Hamilton pamphlet on the dressing table, suggesting that the room was not made up. Even worse, we discovered black marks on the bedsheet that looked like shoe marks (see photo attached). We also almost stepped on a STRAY NAIL lying on the floor near the bed. *ISSUE 3: Counter Staff Refusing to Take Accountability for Wrongs* When we asked the counter staff (a bespectacled Indian man) to refund our early check-in fee, we were told that that was not possible, and that he lacked the authority/means to do so. He told us to talk to the lady on the morning shift who checked us in, who was noticeably younger and less experienced than him. When we pressed him to tell the lady (come on, it is his responsibility to inform his colleagues), he agreed to do so. But guess what? When we asked the Indian man again on our check-out day, he asked us rudely about why we didn’t ask the lady the day before. He said something along the lines of “What time did you guys come back to hotel? You should have told her”. When we demanded further, the man finally used the POS machine to refund us the check-in fee, which proved that he had been lying and had the authority/means to do so all along. *TLDR* In summary, I do not recommend this hotel, due to its poor room quality and appalling standard of service.

They have full knowledge of the issues and yet let people spend...

Do NOT choose this hotel based off of its phenomenal location or its false 5 star reviews that are obviously fabricated when examining them closely, nor should you listen to whatever response that the manager will write below this review.||We had quite the experience.
