This is a beautiful spot. The service not so much, and food deplorable. I cannot stress this enough, the food is not their strong suit. They offer a mix of options from what I remember very Mediterranean but with little to no flavor. The chef was cooking for elderly folk with hypertension and diabetes seemingly. There were so many waiters walking about in a hurry but for some reason nothing moved fast. Me personally, I have patience and the beautiful space can cheer me up but it was almost an hour waiting for chicken covered in acid tomato sauce. Even the drinks took long with two queries on how much longer till. The “Hugo” spritz was underwhelming along with every drink my table ordered. We even had to return a COKE!!! Because it was lightskin. They brought back a fresher, darker, fizzier glass. Nobody was on their A-game. Then there was a noisy table. I mean… loud laughter that made the entire restaurant pause for a second and give a sideye. I was the only one who told the floor manager about it (we were the parallel table). And he was so apologetic about it and told the table about it. Then the manager himself came out and apologized. They were so SWEET!!! But… you know. Would not go back, would not recommend, even though I love over priced food with a view

One40 is a fun spot if you want to get above the city for a bit. The rooftop view is honestly incredible because you can see right over the World Trade Center area. It’s a great place to relax and take in the skyline. The food was top notch. But there was a very limited beer selection. I expected a bit more but the food made up for it. The staff was super friendly and the vibe was chill with the slightest hint of pretentiousness but mainly due to the people who just came for selfies. It’s not cheap, but that is expected with any NYC rooftop, and we felt like it was worth it for the experience, food, and the view. We came here one other time before there were six foot panels of glass. These were a bit disappointing but understandable. Try to get there for sunset if you can…. Totally gorgeous. And make a reservation, because it does fill up, especially on weekends. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a cool rooftop hangout in lower Manhattan!

Awesome restaurant with amazing views of the World Trade Center Memorial and The One World Trade Center Tower. We came here for dinner and were very pleased. We were seated on the balcony, so we got a great view. The servers were friendly and tentative. The restaurant is decprated beautifully and has a great vibe. We ordered a bottle of rosé for dinner. We started with the caviar as an appetizer. It was good, but the caviar flavor was lost over the crema. But that's just my preference. For main dishes, we ordered the duck and the branzino and an extra side of Brussel sprouts. The duck was beautifully cooked. The skin was crispy and crunchy, and the purple cauliflower was delicious. But by far, the winner was the branzino. The flavors were amazing. Between the Braised Leeks, Capers, and Lemon Brûlée sauce , it was perfect. Definitely make the time to stop here for dinner and enjoy the view, decor, and great service.

I came on 6/9/25. I am staying at the hotel for work for the week and decided to try the restaurant out. I got a lovely corner table for 1 straight away. In full transparency, I had an absolute terrible day on a personal level and I was not my nicest version of self. My mom has Alzheimer’s and right before coming, I had a really hard phone call w her so I was already feeling lots of emotion and super sad. I wanted the salmon and asked to have a side traded and they said no as the chef doesn’t allow it. I was bummed so ordered something else. A few minutes later, they came back and said they would make an exception. They had no idea what I was going through or my hard day. They didn’t have to make an exception for me but they did. All I wanted was that side of mashed potatoes but they had no idea that having mashed potatoes would truly flip my night upside down. My server was Edgar and he was absolutely calm and patient w me even when I snapped back. then another server Nika also helped and was so kind. The manager is named Sal and he came to check on me several times after he saw me cry. Such a great staff!!! I felt taken care of and safe.

It is simple acts of kindness that this world needs more of. The team did not need to be kind to me or make an exception or give me special treatment but they did anyways. Thank you for a wonderful dinner, One 40 Rooftop team!

The salmon was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes (which I craved so much) were absolutely amazing. And the crème brûlée was divine. I would absolutely come back and...

After living in New York City for 10+ years, this restaurant became one of my favorite restaurants ever!

I went for dinner with my son, and everything was beyond my expectations.

Our host, Amaiah, was so nice and welcoming, along with everybody else. We were greeted with kindness and warmth before we even stepped foot inside the restaurant.

The food was just perfectly balanced and prepared, very delicious, and the food portions were just right. The lobster and the crostini for me were just phenomenal, but everything else was perfect as well. When I saw the presentation, I couldn’t wait to grab a bite.

Our server, Matthew, was so helpful and kind, and the managers themselves checked on us multiple times to ensure that we were having a wonderful, pleasant experience.

The genuine warmth, kindness, and passion is all I felt throughout my experience, and that is what no other place has, but One40 Rooftop naturally possesses it. I will for sure be back, all of my friends. Thank you so much for a wonderful,...
