Today my partner went into store. He started at the deli counter, that had no customers. The employee behind the counter who was just standing around when my partner approached told him āgive me five minutesā, with an attitude. My partner responded āno problemā and went down the aisles to pick up so other needed items.
When my partner returned to the deli counter another customer was approaching. The deli counter employer called out āwho is next?ā, knowing full well my partner had been waiting for HIM to finish whatever it was when he was doing before.
My partner called my phone so I could give the cold cut order, and the deli guy got an attitude-as if he didnāt want to really help.
My partner asked what his problem was -why he had an attitude. The employee replied āI canāt hear the orderā.
At apologized end he made some excuse that he was the only one back there in the deli (though at this time the store was not busy).
I can GUESS what the issue was but I would only be assuming. I do understand having a bad day, but taking it out in a customer makes for a very negative experience.
Other than that, store is clean but we will NIT be going back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOzone Park is very fortunate to have such a great supermarket as this C-Town. This one, located on the corner of Crossbay Blvd and Sutter Ave is simply a marvel. Clean, well-lit with so many different brands and items available. While, in size, this one is barely a rival to the nearby Waldbaums and Pathmark supermarkets. However, and so much very more importantly in these times, the prices here at this C-Town are even better - much better than those larger markets. I avidly look forward to the weekly bargains, posted in their circular, and online, on Friday. There, the bargains are even better. The store is always well-stocked with sale and non-sale items. It's so easy to run there if I've forgotten to purchase something during my usual, at least-once-a-week trips. The store is so nearby. It's a true neighborhood store in that the staff there are just wonderful, from the guys setting out the produce, to the butcher staff in the back of the store to the incredible people at the checkout registers. Yes, it's a true neighborhood store and a pleasure to do your shopping there....
Ā Ā Ā Read morePrice gouging at its finest! Even though 50-60 percent of the people who shop here are elderly, they couldnāt care less, they double the price of meats and other foods. Iām writing this because today I bought some meat, which the price was doubled, and I chuckled knowing when all this is over Iāll be ordering online rather than shop here again. But there was a very old lady standing there for a while searching and searching for the cheapest pack of cubed steak, which normally is in the $5-$6 range and is now a few cents away from $10. The owners here are truly money hungry and heartless. I say this because they are taking advantage of some of our most vulnerable neighbors, the elderly, during a time when the elderly community needs help the most. There were no lines or crowds and also no need for...
