After 18 yrs coming to this deli , I will no longer return. Poor customer service ethics on behalf of the owners wife While I was waiting for sandwiches, my son knocked down dedorants on display and she proceeded to handle it herself. I said Mam I will handle it but she kept on. I was going to fix it. I understood she was upset but the more she kept on, the more it escalated and she began to verbally attack me. That made me more upset. She said that when I come into the store I dont smile. That I was alteady upset at my kids. Helllo Im a mom. Was she serious? It was about me now. She was obviously upset about something that occured before and what my son did upset her more. When I mentioned that to her, she said to mind my business. Wow, she took it to other level!!! Wow!!! Wish i could give this place zero stars! I have many complaints it's ridiculous, for ONE- they overprice absolutely every single thing. For a regular BLT it's $5, regular hero sandwiches are at the least $7 the two women who run the register are nasty!!! Considering I used to go there everyday faithfully, even while my breakfast sandwich was overpriced (but the only deli near me) she was still very rude when the deli added an extra 50cents on my sandwich when i paid already almost $5 For a honey turkey and egg on a bagel, nothing more, daily. Awesome place! Has a very old school Italian deli vibe that is quite difficult to find and rapidly disappearing from the quaint old neighborhoods like this one. Food is always fresh, staff is always polite and bend over backwards to get your order to your liking! This is a far cry from places like Subway because everything right down to the hero bread is fresh and made daily! Salad case has a wide variety to suit just about any palate and very tasty salads. You gotta eat here even if only once, for the true old school Italian deli experience before places like this become just a memory. They just don't make 'em like...
