If I could give this ZERO stars I would. Nafi was the most unprofessional person I had to deal with when it came to communication and the expectation of my scheduled appointment. I had discussions with her A MONTH , A WEEK and 2 days before of the scheduled appointment that I am looking to get my hair braided on July 3rd 2025 which was THE PLAN. Please someone explain to me why in the HELL did I receive so much excuses and a run around literally 2 days before the scheduled appointmentā¦ā¦ these were her excuses that all happened today (2 days before my appointment :
āIām on vacationā (oh you had to see how pissed I was and how much my blood was boiling) 1st red flag š© āI can give you an option to let my sister do your hairā (didnāt expect that but since this was an option I was considerate enough to accept it and I asked her if she has any photos so I can see her work , she goes ahead and tells me ānoā āŗļøāŗļøāŗļø LOL GREAT! 2nd red flag š© She then waits a couple hours to THEN call me ā I think itās best if you go somewhere else to do your hair ā¦ā¦ girllllllll the absolute inconsideration of the words that came out of her mouth and how inconsiderate and disrespectful it was to have me WAIT, LED me on to think the appointment was set and ready to go, I WAS CONSIDERATE ENOUGH to go with her other option of her sister for her to then tell me to go somewhere else ?!?!?!?! 3rd RED FLAG š©
IF YOU DONāT WANT TO STRESS YOURSELF OUT, PLEASE SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH RAMA HAIR BRAIDING. THEY ARE OPEN 24/7 and are HAPPY ENOUGH TO ACCEPT WALK INS.
I hope the person that I communicated with that gave me a freaking HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE gets the day that they deserve.
If you have any upcoming events and need to get your hair braided , I would turn around from this place. I donāt get how un organized and how unprofessional most of these braiding shops are portraying themselves to customers and think that itās acceptable. You can actually see some of the garbage in the posted pictures Hair and hair rappers on the floor Workers have their children in there for hours waiting for their days work to end. One little bad girly and an older one that was sweet I went for Nafi but she did not do my hair after confirming she would be. She had one of the newbees do my hair. Now this lady was super sweet and she did her best. I honestly feel bad for her. What Nafi told me over the phone would take 4 hours took 8!!! One other lady occasionally came to help braid the ends but this young lady needed help. You could tell she didnāt want to help. Across from me there were 3 people helping a more experienced braider. There was yelling loud talking constantly getting bumped into. SUPER TIGHT SPACE. HORRIBLE! I had to warn the person next to me that a roach was about to crawl up her Ugg! There are fume smells in the shop from the heat. No water. From the way the bathroom door looked š³ I held it til I got home! Just the door. I can imagine inside. You donāt have to listen to me pull up. Iām sure this was their regular routine. Lady walking back and forth trying to sell black soap and shea butter ! The 3rd time she asked I let her no I have already told you NO TWICE!!! She got an attitude and talked about me in her language. I received glances lol! THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY REPUTABLE BRAIDERS AND SHOPS THAN TO DEAL WITH THIS FIASCO!!!! Braiders got into heated argument over a customer that wanted 10 corn rolls!!! Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is for charlene's (aka nofi sondo) sister not Nofi. Went to get microbraids on labor day, 1st time at this shop. Spoke w Charlene who said her sister can come in & do microbraids, paid $200. Two days later I'm noticing clumps of hair fall out my head as the braids begin to unravel from the bottom. The sister, I don't know her name, never tied the ends. She also put a ton of mousse on my hair which caused severe itching & burning to my scalp. I reach out to Charlene (Nofi Sondo) who at 1st apologized & said her sister would fix it for free. Great, but then there was a mix up with dates so she tells me she'll call her sister early the next morning to see if she can take me at 5pm as I work outside the city & it would take me a while to get to the shop. I keep texting, etc , no response until around 330pm Charlene txts back asking for photos & what do I want done to my hair. I explain her sister didn't tie the ends so hair keep unraveling, she also didn't add hair to my natural hair so the hair strands are all different lengths in the back. I just wanted her to fix my hair. My hair looks messy in the back & for $200, my braids should've lasted longer than a few days.
No response & it was getting late, so I just told her to forget it, I don't want her sister to fix my hair & potentially have it come out again. She could've given half the money back, $100, that's a fair price as I ended up having to finish rebraiding it myself.
