I thought I give this place a try since it’s been raving on tiktok about the $200 prices. This location was PACKED like you cannot get through without telling everyone around you to also move. A straight up fire hazard. The floor was wet (cause it was raining that day) which is dangerous, hair ALL over the damn floor. Just gross, the chairs needed some cleaning, I was just shocked. I’m seated right by the door, I told the braider what I would like, colors, and size. I felt like there was a language barrier and she couldn’t fully understand, I just wanted smedium boho braids with human hair which is their standard style, no? I specifically wanted human hair because I know the synthetic can get very matted. I asked upfront how much it would be, mind you, I had $200 in my head, she said $240. Okay, $40 for human hair better be the greatest quality hair. I agreed to it and we got started. Let me start off by saying it was NOT HUMAN HAIR, it’s synthetic, but will get back to that later. My braider started off tugging hard on my scrunchie and pulled so hard I had to stop her and waved my hands like “I got it”. She started blowdrying my hair but the only comb she had was a skinny tooth comb. I started panicking, in what world, do you think you should use that?! She was really rough, and started pulling my hair out. I stopped her and told her she needs another comb which she got. But the tugging with literally no care in the world was unbelievable, strike 1. Now my braider had a baby to take care of so there was a bit of stop and starting to feed them. We were also by the door and since she had the baby strapped to her back we were blocking the entrance so we had to keep it closed but again, it was packed and there wasn’t any ventilation, I’m getting hot, my braiders sweating in the face, and on top of that she’s wearing draped sleeves which kept slapping me in the face as she reaches across every time to grab curly pieces. With every reach I got an instant whiff of her B.O.!!! I’m on edge ppl. Strike 2. Once she got to my center part it was off center. I asked her to redo the two braids with the center not once, not twice, but three times. She was getting upset that I kept saying it wasn’t straight and kept showing me that it was, nope, I know my face thank you. I needed up parting it myself. Strike 3. She finished my smedium braids in 5 hours. That’s recording breaking time and they were not the size I wanted, shocking. Let’s just say that there are many other things that happen like the baby formula spilling all over my seat, a wet plastic bag on the floor with hair picked up and placed on top of my braiding hair in the bin, asking me to separate hair to then being told I’m doing it wrong, her food sitting on top of my braiding hair in the bin, restroom absolutely disgusting, so with all that in mind, I didn’t leave a tip. It was my first time ever doing that, I paid for the service of all mention above, and little did I know I was scammed with the human hair to begin with unbeknownst to me. I wanted nothing more than to run out of that place so bad and scrub myself down from head to toe. I felt so gross in that salon. The horror continues, let’s circle back to the “human curly hair” cause I found out that the extra $$ I paid for was NOT human hair, by day 3 the curly pieces became matted and tangled, and I was shedding hair everywhere, something that has never happen before, if I ran my fingers through strands would come out, I had hair left and right all over my floor. And the curly pieces were so tangled that I cut multiple pieces out. Highly disappointed, and that was strike 4. I will never go there even if it was the last place on earth. Don’t go there!!

I usually don’t post reviews but after my last experience at this place I feel like I need to warn people. Please read the reviews and don’t go to this place. I saw this shop on tik tok and got my hair braided in April. Outside of the shop being messy I had a great experience and my braider did an excellent job. Although there was a language barrier, she frequently asked and had me look at the braids to make sure she was doing it exactly as I wanted. My hair looked amazing and I recommended this place to so many people (MISTAKE!). I went back after a few months later in June (few days ago) for a second time to get my hair braided for my Birthday. I asked for a color that required different colors to be blended. They had a really hard time understanding even after I showed them a video and photo and told them the numbers. They started doing my hair and the color wasn’t what I wanted at all. I tried telling them I wanted the color darker but they continued to proceed with the braid and I felt like I wasn’t heard. They told me they don’t have the color to make it darker. Otherwise the braiding itself was fine so I tipped them generously for their work even though I was unhappy with the color. I tried dying the hair and ultimately decided I was just going to redo and get number 4 like I did the first time. I spoke with the owner and came back 3 days later frustrated by the time I had spent braiding and unbraiding the hair in just a few days with a very busy work schedule. When I came back to have my hair braided, the braider I had (different one) was extremely rude and unprofessional. I told her exactly what I wanted multiple times but she did not listen. I even translated it in French which is one of the languages she speaks and she completely ignored what I wanted and proceeded to do exactly what I told her I don’t want. I asked for the braids to be m/large but she ended up doing them small and argued with me that small looks better. On top of her complete disregard for my requests the way she was pulling and yanking my hair… I can’t even begin to describe. I’ve never had anyone treat my hair like that. Despite telling her she was pulling my head and I don’t want it too tight several times, she continued to yank my hair until the end. She again tried to tell me it had to be tight to look good. I told her I don’t care if it looks bad, I don’t want my hair pulled or yanked aggressively but she continued to play with my head. While she’s yanking my hair, she was speaking about me in Senegalese/French with the other workers and what she was saying was so rude and disgusting I had to pull my phone out and start recording. I’ll plan to post the video on tik tok with translation so you can all hear. It was truly disgusting and I hope when people realize how horrible the treat their customers they stop going. I am truly worried I’m going to have tractional alopecia from the yanking and pulling and I’m planning on unbraiding my hair. I hope Rama reads the reviews and talks to her employees. Waste of time and money. DON’T GO.

I got my hair braided in Fulani flip braids the week for Mother’s Day because I was taking my mother on a surprise vacation. Matoba (hope I spelled it right) did an excellent job. However, the lady that came to assist her towards the end did not braid my hair tight enough because by the time I made it to work when I left the shop, the curly human hair was slipping out. It had literally only been a couple hours later. Unacceptable. I text the number and was told to come back so they can fix it. I go back that Wednesday and the two ladies at the desk were cool about it and told some of the other ladies to rebraid the hair where the curly pieces had fallen out. They off top had an attitude that they had to fix it because they started talking in their language, laughing and looking at me sad eye and crazy in the mirror. I decided to not say nothing And let them Finish my hair. When she added the nine piece pieces of hair back to my head, the girl in the front told me when I was leaving out to come back that that was not what she told them to do. When she told the girl who was fixing my hair, what to do they eventually told me that they would have to take the braids from the back out and redo them because they would not look right. This pissed the girls off, and then she started yanking the curly pieces out of my hair, which is when I then told her to stop yanking my hair because she’s pulling my head. process she ignored me and continued to pull the pieces out. I stopped her again and then she started to cut them out gently. there were about five girls all together on my head, laughing and joking, and speaking in their language, and I know they were talking about me because they kept looking at me when the girl finally Did finish my hair, It was a mess and looked nothing like it originally did that Monday when I first got it fixed. Some of the braids didn’t even have the human hair curly pieces. I text him back because at that point I did not have time to wait again because my day was Ruined being that I had to cancel my plans in order for them to redo my hair so I text the owner or whoever he was back that this girl had ruined my hair and that I was going on vacation and I wouldn’t have time to come back. I told him I wasn’t sure if they put the human hair back in my hair or if it was synthetic because of the way the curly pieces looked, and he told me they Reused the hair that they had pulled out of my head which in my opinion was unacceptable and unprofessional seeing as though I paid $240 for the hairstyle plus I tipped $40 to the original hairstylist on that Monday. I feel as if he could have at least used new human hair so that my hair wouldn’t look flat and not curly and tangled because of them yanking it out. I also informed him that the girls who did it were laughing and joking and had an attitude and all he did was tell me well they did put the original hair back in and OK I’ll talk to her. That is still unacceptable again for somebody who paid what I paid for my hair. I should have got brand new human hair because after she done my hair over, it didn’t look fresh or anything; actually it was flat. The curls had no curl, and there was no bounce whatsoever. I sent pictures to him so that he could see for himself the difference between how it looked on Monday versus how we looked on today unacceptable whoever this girl Really wish I would’ve got her name because if i was Ignorant, I would’ve punched her in her face for yanking my hair out the way she did and then redoing it horribly. I also told her no mousse because I like the hair to be fluffy and big and she still wet my entire head so my hair look like a wet dog when she got finished with it and again And $280 I should’ve gotten better service or at least a discount for another hair style...

She was getting upset that I kept saying it wasn’t straight and kept showing me that it was, nope, I know my face thank you. I needed up parting it myself. Strike 3.

And the curly pieces were so tangled that I cut multiple pieces out. Highly disappointed, and that was strike 4. I will never go there even if it was the last place on earth....

Waste of time and...
