I originally stopped by Bill’s Cyclery to have a flat tire replaced, but Tony went above and beyond. He gave my bike a thorough inspection and identified several issues that my previous mechanic had overlooked—including worn brakes, mismatched nut sizes, and a chain that was too long (which he resized on the spot). He also recommended new tires to improve performance and safety. After all the adjustments, my bike looks and rides like new. While the total cost came to nearly $300, I see it as a worthwhile long-term investment in quality and reliability. Tony’s expertise and attention to detail truly impressed me. Big thanks to Tony and the team at Bill’s Cyclery—excellent service from start to finish!

I stopped by to get some spokes fixed almost two years ago and ended up getting my new Aventon Adventure from the shop. The guy running the place is cool and always able to mend a broken bike. He introduced me to the tire liners that help lower the chance of a puncture in the tube and today I ordered one for my back tire along with a new back tire. I love on Harlem but Bill's in Woodside is the bike shop for me. And it's a nice ride to get there. Still going back! Glad to have this place to keep my bike in order.

Absolutely the best. I was about to take off on the five borough bike tour and somehow my chain was bent. I spotted a nearby repair tent and Bill fixed me up instantly for nothing. I was about to complete the tour thanks to these guys. If you're in the area be sure to stop by this place they are absolutely top notch service. Cheers ! And thank you again!

TERRIBLE!! If you are a serious rider, and want your bike performing at it's best, do not bring it here. I had a tune up done here, the next time I rode I had my chain fall off when I switched to a lower gear. Turns out, the gears were all messed up, and something was knocked out of place during the tune-up. Very unsafe!! Then, when I finished my ride, my buddy realized that my tire was rubbing. Apparently a tune up to them is tightening everything without doing a basic inspection before giving it back. I honestly feel my bike was worse off after bringing it here. Also, I brought my wife's bike in there bc the brakes were squeaking (I had purchased it at the shop), and told him I need that fixed, and a new tube. When I picked it up, I asked him about the breaks. He said, "oh, I forgot" He then took out his wrench and tightened the breaks a little bit, and told me it was all good. Needless to say the brakes continue to squeak. I would only use this place if you need an inner tube and have no other option. DO NOT LET THIS GUY GET HIS HANDS ON...

I came in about a year ago looking for a road bike but I didn't find one that suited me, mark took time to help me look for one online and he ordered it, build it and gave me a lot of advise on it. On top of that he gave me a 2 year warranty in case anything went wrong with it, I only order from him because he is a straight up person and will let you know what will function or what won't, not just anyone that's trying to sell merchandise. I bought my cleats and clips here which he also special orders as well as a Lazer helmet which goes with my bike. I purchased a air horn but it won't fit because the handlebars are too thick so he did a small project and attached a smaller tube which fits perfectly. Go in and take a look, ask for help if you can't find what you're looking for, mark is there to help. Really happy with the services and my bike which still runs like new. Highly recommend...

Honestly this shop (apparently established since 1939) makes me proud to call Woodside home. I’ve been here a couple times for a tune-up and some parts, and both experiences made me want to continue coming here as long as I’m able. When I first came for the tune-up I had a bunch of questions that the employee (forgot his name) was patient with and just super knowledgeable about and happy to explain, and he didn’t try upselling me. The bike itself was better than new when I picked it up and it was a very affordable price. Next time I went, I bought a U-lock frame mount, and I tried quickly installing it outside the shop on the street but was struggling a bit. Tony saw me from inside the shop and called me in to install it himself in 15secs free of charge despite...
