Bottom line: What a disappointment:
My husband and I wanted to take our dog to chateau le woof on a Saturday afternoon for a good time.
We walk in, and there were no dogs in their ‘play area’ inside. The dogs were all in the separate area (I.E. the area for brunch). So , we decided to have brunch instead.
We were greeted. We were seated. The server took our order within 5 minutes. We ordered the yogurt granola ($17), the eggs ($19), and 1 coffee ($3 which is good). Note: I noticed the prices online are slightly cheaper than the menu received. Strange. I wonder why?
Overall, I thought; ‘these prices are absolutely ridiculous, but I love supporting small dog businesses.’
In the meantime, while waiting for our food, we watched our dog mingle with the other dogs, which was cute. There was a huge table next to us, filled with people, for a dog party. They were well taken care of.
Service: While we were watching the other table being well taken care of, we finally got served water. Wow! We were waiting, and waiting, and waiting for our food. Not even our coffee came out. We asked for our coffee, at least. Did we get it? No.
I tend to have a lot of patience at restaurants. However, this time? No. Why? Other people were served food. The big party table was served food. I somewhat felt like a peasant (at least we were served with free water shockingly).
At the 20 minute mark, no food, no coffee. This is when the steam was about to shoot out of my ears. I walk to the bathroom, and I notice one server on their phone, and I see another server on their phone. I walk to our table, biting my tongue. I wanted to leave right then & there.
At the 25 minute mark, we confront the server, ‘we’re still waiting for our food, and we still didn’t get our coffee.’
Server: ‘we’re so busy today. It looks like there’s a mix-up. What did you order again?’ Again( I had to bite my tongue. So basically, they didn’t have our order in the first place. They ‘lost’ our order. I stood up, and stated, ‘cancel our order. We’re out of here.’
I felt ignored. If I would have actually received my food, I would’ve felt ripped-off. Never again will I be supporting this establishment. It’s too bad their service is beyond awful. The person who greeted us at the door (I assume it was the owner) had disappeared while we left.
Bonus: ended up cooking a lovely brunch at home instead, and saved $$$$, rather than wait for their overprice food & continue to deal with terrible service.
So yeah, lesson Learned. I will never step foot in this...
Read moreFirst time here and we were super excited. We really wanted to like this place. After checking in for our 2pm reservation and being seated, we weren’t given menus or greeted. I got up and got my own menus and poured my own water. After waiting 45 minutes for someone to take our order, we got up and asked an employee whether someone was going to help us or whether we needed to order at a counter, they said someone would help us. After another 15 minutes, an Employee came to help other tables and we waved her down. We were finally able to place our order. Another table came and sat down and after waiting for so long they just up and walked out. We were going to do the same but since we placed our order, we tried to wait it out. After another 40 minutes our food came out and half of it was given to another table who put their hands on the food. We hurried and ate the food that hadn’t been touched. We asked for our check, and at that point that was the quickest any one helped us. We paid and left. Would not travel to visit this place again unfortunately. We wanted to like it but service was so bad, I would not visit again for brunch, maybe coffee only if we were...
