Normally the house is rented by the room but we rented the entire house. We assumed we were private when we rented the house. But when we walked in there are security cameras. We felt like we were being watched. The staff would come in and out using the restroom. They would let the dogs on-site into the house. If you have a dog allergy, you donāt want to stay here. After we got back to the house after the concert, the manager (I assume manager anyway) brought some random person into the house to show them the house. (They just walk in, they donāt knock or announce they are entering) We actually left the concert early which means that they would have went inside while we were not there and showed the house. One of the party was in the shower and the rest of the group had to tell them not to go upstairs, which they did respect. But they did go into the downstairs rooms. This didnāt sit well because we didnāt invite them in or were asked if we were comfortable having strangers in the house. After we talked to them they apologized. But one of our people was outside on the phone and overheard the manager telling the others that he has every right to go into the house. We didnāt feel we were in danger but still didnāt sit well. The location is perfect to the Ruoff Music Center. Others in the party said they would rent again because of the location. Iām not so sure I would. Everyone seemed very friendly but I donāt like that they were in the house without permission from us. If they would have respected our privacy, I would have given 5 star. I think that most people that stay there are party people and invite anyone inside. Our group expecting to be left alone may have been something they donāt typically get. If you are looking for a party house across from the music center then this is perfect. If you want a private location,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuch a short walk to the venue, it would have been further to try and drive in. Plus no sitting in traffic after the show, my boyfriend didn't want to wait in line for the bathroom after the concert so we just walked back to camp. First come first serve, no assigned camp sights. You just set up your tent any where inside the yellow posts. When we got back from dinner people had crammed in around us on 3 sides but thankfully we were on the edge, had a canopy over our tent and we were between two trees kinda staking our territory and providing us with a courtyard passage way. Every one was really nice and a bit drunk(maybe even some of the staff) when we got there at 2:30 on friday. I love the greatfull dead bear mascot, i got a sleepybear shirt for $25, they were very limited on sizes and colors. Pink or orange. *There are no ants at all but lots of tiny little bee fly things During the day but they went away at night. Ozzy blared until about 2 am and country continued pumping from around the community fire untill around 3am. About the same time our neighbors decided to call it a night. Only portapotties, i recomend using the dark ones(without lighting) as they smell the least, i tried 5 before I found one i could stomach shutting the door on. No one ever told us a checkincheck out time. People just seamed to get up and go as they came too and the yard was well cleared out by the time we left around 10:30am. I picked up about a dozzen cigarette butts i our little campsight but other than that the grounds seemed clean . Plenty of trash barrels conveniently surrounding the yard. A good experience, stress free, dui free $35 a person. We will definitely be...

Ranger Pete is rude and condescending! He changes his prices without any notice. He said he has water and electric in the campground, but I have not verified this, and suspect otherwise. We had reservations to boondock on his property for 2 days, then stay on the campground after the Jimmy Buffett concert. It rained hard the night before, so when I called from Iowa to confirm the reservations his price went from $40 per night to 'no less than $500, to even get into the campground'! He literally told me, 'lady, you are wearing me out for $40!' My husband heard him and was very angry! We thought we were going to have to cancel our trip. We were coming out here so my husband could finally meet our 18 month old grandson. (Due to COVID, he had been unable to come before.) We had no interest in seeing Jimmy Buffett. I sent Pete a text, letting him know we were not coming.
On a whim, I decided to call GloWood Campground. I was treated so nicely by the couple who runs the place. The campground is simple, but it's clean, grounds kept mowed and it has 50amp electric, water AND sewer! Bonus is, they only charged $30 per night! So, unless you are a good ole' hippy type that enjoys tent camping and boondocking, this place is not for you, and certainly not for us! Ranger Pete needs a lesson in effective communication and...
