I had such high hopes for this place. I very rarely leave reviews but this experience needed one. After taxes and fees added on, the room was just over $500 a night, 4 nights and I stayed there alone. Foyer, entry hall was scuffed up and banged up…which I’m hoping they don’t blame on me (or any of this) because they actually give you an option to pay a $40 non-refundable security waiver or the refundable $250 deposit upon inspection of unit. That sounds like a bit of a racket and guaranteed additional income to me. I opted for the later because again just me, a 47yr old non-smoking responsible adult. Now if you’re partying or have little ones where accidents can happen…maybe that waiver is the way to go but… Living room furniture was stained and messy, one table leg completely broken and barely balancing on the caster. I used none of the living room furniture. Not even sure if it was a pull out bed as advertised in the units, was afraid to look. A shame too because it’s the only access to see/hear the beach. Balcony…first of all the sliding door was heavy and difficult to open. There was no screen door so I couldn’t leave it open (hornets nested in the eve of the roof right next to balcony). The furniture…I kid you not of all the balconies, mine had the cheapest oldest plastic crap with dirty old carpeting. Living room and dining room ceilings had mold, as did the washing machine (so I couldn’t use), the shower door and the jacuzzi tub jets/drain. The sink faucets were filthy and full of lime scale. The bathroom light fixture over tub, which is same as over the shower, was flashing so I had to take a shower with no real light source. So not sure if trying to endure the flashing lights (foyer too) or if was the mold I’m highly allergic to was the cause for my sinuses/headaches this weekend. Or maybe…it was the CONSTANT smell of marijuana. Hallways, balcony, pool, elevators, shuttles, everywhere. It was atrocious and such a shame for the families with little ones also complaining. For a non-smoking facility, this was unacceptable. Security didn’t even flinch when walking by in the smell. The kitchen had a standard coffee pot, ok but even the lowest end hotels have Keurig, and that’s what I brought and planned on. Refrigerator shelf was broken and same in freezer. To the pools…so many bugs in the morning that people staying there were netting them out. The website says the pool bar stays open til the party is over…the HOA apparently says the party, music and alcohol sales are over at 6pm every night. Wow. So that’s a bit of false advertisement on their page. The bar inside and food (breakfast then pizza/subs) is subpar and generic. Now, the Steakhouse on site, AMAZING and im going to leave a review just for them, 5 stars all the way around!! The drinks, food and the bar tenders were fantastic!! I went there every evening and it was sadly the highlight of this place and my first ever solo vacation. The spa was also great and I highly recommend. I really feel like i got put in the dunce room of this place, right in the corner of a roof line and right by the elevators. Hold your property owners responsible for updating and keeping up their units. The mold is the biggest thing and can be very...
