Stop sleeping on Myrtle Beach! One of my favorite places to stay for a large family gathering is North Beach’s villas! We stayed in a 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom villa and it was perfect! #northbeachresort #myrtlebeach #placestostay #springbreak #summerfun #dirtymyrtle

I had such high hopes for this place. I very rarely leave reviews but this experience needed one. After taxes and fees added on, the room was just over $500 a night, 4 nights and I stayed there alone. Foyer, entry hall was scuffed up and banged up…which I’m hoping they don’t blame on me (or any of this) because they actually give you an option to pay a $40 non-refundable security waiver or the refundable $250 deposit upon inspection of unit. That sounds like a bit of a racket and guaranteed additional income to me. I opted for the later because again just me, a 47yr old non-smoking responsible adult. Now if you’re partying or have little ones where accidents can happen…maybe that waiver is the way to go but… Living room furniture was stained and messy, one table leg completely broken and barely balancing on the caster. I used none of the living room furniture. Not even sure if it was a pull out bed as advertised in the units, was afraid to look. A shame too because it’s the only access to see/hear the beach. Balcony…first of all the sliding door was heavy and difficult to open. There was no screen door so I couldn’t leave it open (hornets nested in the eve of the roof right next to balcony). The furniture…I kid you not of all the balconies, mine had the cheapest oldest plastic crap with dirty old carpeting. Living room and dining room ceilings had mold, as did the washing machine (so I couldn’t use), the shower door and the jacuzzi tub jets/drain. The sink faucets were filthy and full of lime scale. The bathroom light fixture over tub, which is same as over the shower, was flashing so I had to take a shower with no real light source. So not sure if trying to endure the flashing lights (foyer too) or if was the mold I’m highly allergic to was the cause for my sinuses/headaches this weekend. Or maybe…it was the CONSTANT smell of marijuana. Hallways, balcony, pool, elevators, shuttles, everywhere. It was atrocious and such a shame for the families with little ones also complaining. For a non-smoking facility, this was unacceptable. Security didn’t even flinch when walking by in the smell. The kitchen had a standard coffee pot, ok but even the lowest end hotels have Keurig, and that’s what I brought and planned on. Refrigerator shelf was broken and same in freezer. To the pools…so many bugs in the morning that people staying there were netting them out. The website says the pool bar stays open til the party is over…the HOA apparently says the party, music and alcohol sales are over at 6pm every night. Wow. So that’s a bit of false advertisement on their page. The bar inside and food (breakfast then pizza/subs) is subpar and generic. Now, the Steakhouse on site, AMAZING and im going to leave a review just for them, 5 stars all the way around!! The drinks, food and the bar tenders were fantastic!! I went there every evening and it was sadly the highlight of this place and my first ever solo vacation. The spa was also great and I highly recommend. I really feel like i got put in the dunce room of this place, right in the corner of a roof line and right by the elevators. Hold your property owners responsible for updating and keeping up their units. The mold is the biggest thing and can be very...

Horrible experience Please read fully, worst part towards the end.||||I booked a one-bedroom villa at North Beach Resort & Villas for my mom’s birthday (Aug 26–31), spending over $1,200 expecting a special experience. Unfortunately, it was deeply disappointing.||||On arrival, the sleeper sofa had no bedding. I tried calling guest services, but no one answered, so I had to walk to the front desk to request it. A staff member eventually brought it, and I also reported that none of the TVs worked — the remotes were broken and taped together. She said she'd submit a maintenance request. ||||When we returned later that night, the TVs were still not working. Again, calls went unanswered, so I walked back to the front desk for help. A technician finally came and fixed them. We also found the WiFi wasn’t working, and the bedroom had a dirty, stained area rug that could’ve easily been replaced. We called guest services again, with no answer. ||||Frustrated, we went to the front desk in person, where several guests were already in line to speak to the supervisor with complaints. When we finally spoke with the supervisor, Patrick, we asked about changing rooms, mainly due to how unsanitary the carpet was(Picture). We were upset but not hostile. Instead of addressing our concerns, he only offered to send someone to check the WiFi, which made us more upset — and he then told us we should check out. We were shocked and went back to the villa.||||Later, around 11pm security officer — the only respectful person we encountered — came to evict us but after assessing the situation and seeing that we weren't causing any disturbances or anything like that he assured us we could stay until morning and said he wouldn’t evict two women alone at night. We appreciated his professionalism and care.||||While all this was happening, I had also called the booking company to request a refund. The agent put me on hold to speak with Patrick directly, and when he came back, he told me that Patrick said, “If you want a full refund, you have to return the keys now and leave.” I decided not to leave that night, since security had reassured us we could stay until morning, and I planned to deal with the front desk again in the morning.||||But instead, at 3 AM, we were woken by three doorbell rings. Patrick came with a police officer to remove us from the villa. It was deeply distressing and completely unnecessary. To make matters worse, Patrick later tried to claim he had told the booking agent that if we didn’t return the keys, he would call the police — which was not true, the agent didn’t say that, If that was true, he should have called the police right then around 12, and he should of told us Directly, not waited three hours to terrorize us out of our sleep.
