We love this location! My hubby, family and I have visited many many Olive Gardens Restaurants over the years. From York, Pennsylvania, White Marsh Maryland and other locations in South Carolina! This location is the best hands down! We are always greeted even if there is a wait. They seem to work as a team. Everyone says hello when walking by. We've had several different waitresses on different occasions here. Not all of them are prefect but taking into consideration that some may have more experience than others. I recommend always picking up empty dishes when asking how things are. Never waste a trip when walking by a table. Not a biggie. But other employees are walking by greeting, sweeping and checking on each other's tables. We always feel well taken care of here. My wife likes how clean everything is. She even noticed someone at the front wiping stuff down. We also ordered two catering meals around the holidays! We picked up the order and when we got home, I noticed there were no bread sticks. What a disappointment since we had guest arriving soon. I called the restaurant and they actually had someone drive a box of breadsticks to our house asap! WOW! Talk about taking action! There is no such thing as prefect but what makes the difference is when the restaurant fixes or acknowledges any mishaps instead of making excuses. Not only did they get our bread sticks out to us in a hurry but the managers personally called and emailed us an apology. That shows they care! The food is always good but we love the staff and managers at this location. Hopefully, they all stick around and the greatness rubs off on any new employees and other locations. We plan on using this location again for more catering during holidays and vacations. Keep up the great experiences! Our family thanks you much for going above & beyond and out...
Read moreWe travel a lot and have been to many Olive Gardens up and down the east coast but this Olive Garden location in North Myrtle Beach was terrible. My husbands chicken gnocchi soup was cold. When he told the server she brought another bowl to replace it and that too was cold. I had pasta e fagioli soup which is what I always order and it’s usually very hearty but this soup at their location was very watery with barely any traces of the beef in it. Our salad had mostly lettuce on the brown side like it was on the verge of expiration. The bread sticks were soft like they were made at a different earlier time and we’re stored in a plastic bag before being served and also lack of seasonings on top. The server mistakenly gave me a sweet tea instead of the unsweetened tea I order. She replaced it but the unsweetened tea tasted very much on the weak side. What made this experience worse was wouldn’t you think a manager would have made an appearance after two cold soups or at least later during the meal especially with all the issues we encountered during our meal there but there was no such presence. This is an indication of poor management. We additionally feel there was poor kitchen management due to the food quality. So my husband only ate two spoonfuls of his gnocchi soup and had some brown lettuce salad we paid our full bill and went on our way with great disappointment from our experience at this location. We will definitely not go back there in the future. I then vowed to make as many people aware as possible about how terrible the North Myrtle Beach Olive Garden location is and also about the poor management at this location. We did not feel any of the issues we had were related to our server during this visit. What the biggest disappointment is that we could have chosen from so many other restaurant options and we choose here instead to only have such a...
Read moreWe've been to an Olive Garden several times but never this location. We are staying at a beach house around the corner and my son was hungry Wednesday afternoon around 3 and we had other family members enjoying the Duplin winery across the street. We were sat immediately in the bar booths so my son could watch football and we ordered the Toscana soup. Our server, Brenda G, almost seemed annoyed that we were not ordering more between the 2 of us and said "soup comes with an entree, what entree do you want" but my son is 9 and we were going to an all you can eat crab leg restaurant later that evening so I pointed to the menu that we wanted the $7.99 soup and salad special. The Zuppa Toscana was delicious as always as were the breadsticks, but the service while we were there was missing. When it was time to ask for our bill, I had to bring it to another bartenders attention since we had not seen Brenda for some time. It's ok if you have other customers to get to, but a quick stop by goes a long way versus feeling ignored. We had the bartender get Brenda's attention and she came over with the check. I pointed out to her that the lunch special says $9.99 on the receipt and she said that it was after 3pm. The time stamp on our receipt says that we paid at 3:48 and we were there for at least 45 minutes so we must have missed the "special" by 3 minutes. This is a great opportunity to "see what I can do" but she just walked away. Most servers know that the gratuity is in the service and not the bill total. I've given a $20 tip on a $20 tab before based on exemplary service, but I don't think she was motivated from our initial order. ...
