Let’s begin, visiting Myrtle Beach with family for the kids spring break,1st time, and our resort is less than a mile away. As we head out for our journey back home(9hrs away), we needed to fill our bellies. The outside of the establishment is beautiful and clean. The sign also caught our eye as it stated Girl Scout cookies were being sold here. Hey they are running out in our city so we decided to give it a try since we were coming in anyway. We get in and the cookies are there! $4 a box, which I thought Troops are required to sell at $3.50, but hey no BIG deal,we still purchased 4 boxes from the sweet little girl in the front. We we’re seated within 10 min. Our waiter was WONDERFUL AND KIND,Nathan. He did a great job being on the front end working with patrons. Now the cook, messed our experience up! Whom ever was back there, had our orders incomplete. Eggs weren’t fresh(cracked out the shell),it was that premade liquid egg crap.AND mold on my wheat bread. I really didn’t want to eat after that, but I opted for the stuffed strawberry French toast which was good. My sisters potatoes were pre cooked, not cooked to order, first came out cold then came back room temp. I would change that if I were yal. I mean it may take longer or whatever but fresh is always better. I truly want to recommend but as a cook myself, there is room for improvement. I’m only giving my opinion. Put more soul and heart into your cooking. Take time and use quality product. Also hope you get blessed with a great person to fill your open cook position! 🙂
Response to owners: The problem here is that the person/cook(one whom prepares food for your patrons, how you choose to make money), I just came to eat and spend my money, But they prepared a sandwich with MOLD(yes with all my add ons that I was willing to pay the extra for it all)Could they see the bread when they took it out the bag? Did they pay attention to the sandwich? Maybe include examining the plate before being served? That’s all I’m saying, but i was more than happy to just order something else, told Nathan and he was more than happy to do so,since that shouldn’t have been served anyway. If I would’ve taken a picture and posted it of them darn potatoes, those were not fresh/hot at all (make it make sense ma’am,they were cold)anybody in they right mind can look and see they weren’t steaming nor were they hot, that’s why they weren’t eaten, even after replacing those too.Yea maybe fresh 15 min before it got to us,but not when it got to our table to eat. Now, one more thing, you ain’t have no choice but to Compensate/Remove that sandwich, what do I look like paying for some bacteria?! I posted my review on Facebook and Google, that’s 2,a couple, not several...I will say this again,Nathan was wonderful, customer service was excellent. Your cook and quality of food needs to be addressed/coached. You had plenty opportunities to speak with us as you walked by. If you saw that he was bringing anything back, maybe you could have came to the table and apologized and this never would’ve been posted. Let me tell you this, I can go to a well known restaurant like Red Lobster, and on a Sunday, guarantee if that manager cares what happens on their watch, they will come to the table(even table to table in most instances),introduce themselves (Let it be known who you are!)and say “How has your service been?” “Everything ok for you?” “I hope that you enjoy your meal.“ Lastly, I’m VERY surprised, that not once did you thank me for our business! I will remain at not returning,no need to call you to discuss anything, this post is only for your benefit and your future customers. I should’ve read the other reviews before visiting ,most of them are you wrangling about the food being fresh but the customer getting it cold! Now how does that work?! Discuss this whole review with your cook or yourself because I see you do some of the...
Read moreDisclosure: Food here was very good. Ordered a breakfast plate with eggs, sausage, and pancakes and Boyfriend ordered a chicken panini with French fries. All was very good and fries were the best that I have had in awhile. Portion size was also good!
But, the reason for the two stars... I visited this restaurant around 11:30am today and walked in to see an elderly couple waiting for a table. They waited for a few more minutes and finally said something to a blonde haired host. Couple said “We would like to be seated” with no apparent attitude and received a very harsh response of “WE WILL GET TO YOU WHEN WE CAN” from across the room where everyone could hear. The couple walked out and the host did not care one bit. We were seated thereafter with no server until one was available which is what we were told. This was pathetic since the restaurant was not even half full. While waiting for the server, we also witnessed another couple argue with the same blonde host and the customer stated “I will never be here again.” Nothing we want to hear before eating somewhere. We sat and finally ordered drinks and there was no tea ready. Server said it would be ready in 5 minutes and probably took around 15 minutes. We finally received food around 12:15pm (45 minutes of sitting). While there, I witnessed multiple accounts of confrontation with the blonde haired host and several groups. Saw multiple groups have to come to the counter to get service and witnessed many couples leave before getting seated. Many hateful comments were made between the host and some servers that were far too loud since I was able to hear it. Very unprofessional. All problems spiraled from the blonde haired host who had to seat everyone, so everyone was presented with her sadly upon arrival. Not pointing a finger, but she was the only individual making rude comments or causing problems. From a business standpoint, you want to know about your problems and this is the only way for me to notify the owners. But, other servers that I saw or had were much nicer and i did not hear rude comments or unnecessary things from them.
Food was GREAT. All of the food that I even saw looked very good.
With good service, this place would be much better.
In addition, reading the reviews also posted today was a good indicator that there were problems other than what I saw myself. Coincidental that two other individuals posted today as well. Rather than replying to customers stating the reasoning for the issues or backing up the service, try and fix it. It really makes a difference when service is bad regardless of the food quality. People do not post bad reviews for fun as I have only posted minimal reviews in my lifetime. Constructive criticism, only trying to help. Customers should not be baffled at the service in the...
Read moreThree times... It's amazing how one visit can make you have a different opinion on a place. Day 1. Was met by a nice lady, one of the owners I believe. I was seated and I had to wait on the rest of my party....only two more so it was a booth only. When the lotza meat cast iron dish came out, the waitress said....wow! That's seems to be a lot more than normal. I could barely finish. Lots of meat. I asked for cayenne pepper on my meal....that along with added jahapenos made for a tasty breakfast...after reading some of the negative comments, I was expecting a mediocre meal....I was pleasantly surprised and the prices are within reason. Day 2. Just my girlfriend and I stopped by. We shared the lotza meat as it was so much. Not as much on Day 2 but still enough for us to share comfortably. Day 3. I come in and am met but a large man in a Steelers shirt...owner As with day one, I was meeting three others this time. My girlfriend, her brother, and elderly mother. They had to return the keys for the condo but her brother would be there in about 5 minutes. Owners have the option to do what they want so the following is not right or wrong. When I said I was meeting three more he wanted me to wait for them to arrive. I asked what if it was just me? He said then I would seat you and you would have to order now. This was the point where I started to walk out. Had this been my first experience at this restaurant, I would have walked out and not returned today for sure. He stopped me and said since we aren't busy right now I can go ahead a seat you. Again, what if I were by myself. Am I going to be rushed to order, eat and get out? The meal....my fault, I forgot to say no hollandaise...this meal looked awesome and Tayler had no problem fixing my mistake. When the reorder came out, It looked great but lacked the meat from the previous two days....and I finished with no problem. Lessons learned: All three meals were great. First impressions mean a lot. As one who has been in the military, and civilian firefighter, I do not like to sit near the entrance, or with my back to the door. May clear up some confusion during my seating.....nice shirt I said.... Overall, food is great, most of the staff are awesome and you will not...
