Summit Office — Hotel in North Myrtle Beach

I’ve got to be brutally honest. We come to North Myrtle every summer for a week. We’ve got about 10 family members in total including our family of 7, my MIL and our nieces. This has got to be the most ill equipped and falling apart condo we’ve ever been to. Mirrors are broken off the wall of mirrors in the living room, Curtains are ripped, recliner in living room is broken, it doesn’t recline, found a few cockroaches inside (I know they can come in through the patio door so that’s kind of understandable), bathroom mirror is broken, one of the walls in the bathroom looks like something brown is splattered over the back of the door and wall, bathroom sinks still had spit splatter and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while, master bathroom toilet feels like it’s going to come off the floor when you sit down. It just seems unkept and dirty. Parking is a nightmare. You only get one parking place per unit even if you have more than one family in unit and good luck finding a place to park. Overflow parking is across the street and down a block. We rented through Elliot Rentals and they didn’t have sheets or towels ready at check in and even went as far as to say we didn’t tell them we wanted sheets so charged us 200 for sheets and towels. Not impressed with this condo. It's quite run down. Our A/C froze up and barely kept the place cool. The beds were horrible! Very old, musty and full of misshapen and broken springs in every room. The deck had very unclean, ripped, smelly carpet. The realtor company, Elliot, would only give us 2 keys for 7 people and 1 onsite parking spot. Also you can't bring your own beach canopy forcing you to rent theirs and my 69 year old Dad sat in one after renting and it broke. My Dad was hurt and the realty company was quite hateful when we called to report the accident... Everything else was ok. The pool was a good size so it accommodated the guests well. The Ocean View from the rental we had (1C) was done through NB Realty. We rented for 4 days. (Thursday - Sunday). The Ocean View was the only thing nice about this 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit. I"ve been renting beach views since the early 1990's. Many years at PCB, FL. This 1st floor unit has not been updated since 1983 is my best guess. I base this on the Microwave was manufactured that year. The entire unit needs completely updated. Although the unit was clean, the entire feel was a blast from the early 1980's. The rental price could have been half of what we paid for 4 nights and that, IMHO, would be a little high. You may want to try another unit at "The Summit" before renting this location.
