Not sure where to start. We ordered dinner salads and they came after the pizza came. Ordered food and they said it would be close to an hour. We had to ask at about an hour for our food. There were other people there 20 minutes after us and they were already dining. We ordered banana peppers with our salads. Those never came. Ordered a Diet Coke. Had to ask for that too. We asked for Alfredo sauce and got ranch for our fried ravioli appetizer. It was gross and cold. The Alfredo sauce that finally came that is. Marinara sauce was also cold. Salads were plentiful but low grade quality. My Wife ordered Italian dressing. She got ranch. The wait staff is inexperienced and somewhat incompetent. The veggie pizza was okay. Not great. Flatware is old like hand me downs. Same for the dishes and glasses. The Parmesan and pepper shakers were cheap clear plastic. The table rocked like Grandma’s old rocking chair. I had to place a folded up napkin under one table foot so we would not spill our drinks.
In all, this place was a great disappointment. We were so excited about our first trip. We won’t be returning for a few months. If there is no change in the mass disorganization in ordering food and in a timely manner that will be our last time. I think we will head to Pals or one of the Italian places in town for our pizza from now on. I was told there was going to be some remodeling. There has not been much in the way of that. Same old Canteen with different food with a few TV’s. If I wanted cheap bar food I would have went to a bar.
Come on new owners, you really need to get with the program or this place will be gone in a few months like all the rest of the new places in town that struggled with the same issues we found here. We are used to having great quality food backed up with great service. I really wished I could have given a better review. It is what it is. First impressions mean everything. On the upside, the pizza itself wasn’t too bad. I had two slices but that is all I really wanted after getting a taste of everything else. The pizza carry out...
Read moreFirst time here and won’t be back. Order two shots, they were out of what we order so we compromised then the shots came on half a glass of ice? Not what we ordered. Our appetizer was burnt on the outside and somehow cold in the middle. When we told the waitress she didn’t apologize or say a word, only took the food and brought out another order which we did not want nor ask for and said “better safe then sorry” well sorry would of been better because the second order was the same if not even more burnt. Then when our pasta and burger arrived the pasta was not even room temp it was literally ice cold, the $3 up charge for grilled chicken was a 2oz portion of frozen microwave chicken that I had to pick thru the pasta to even find a piece. The burger was grey and of worse quality than Burger King. When the waitress came over I politely told her how disappointed we we were and that we’d like the check for the burger and drinks but would not like to pay for the food we took one bite of. The manager decides $20 dollars off our check was enough although the pasta was $18 and the corn dogs $10 I said “well I don’t wanna pay for the pasta or corn dogs considering both were awful and we didn’t eat it, is that only $20?” she stares at the check for a min and says “it’s basically $20” then walks to another table next to us and as she comes back I say well actually it’s not $20, it’s 18 for the pasta and $10 for the corn dogs she says she’ll go get the manager but “he said $20 off was enough” although he had walked passed us twice and not said a word to us. We paid and left. 0/10 you can get better food and service at any fast food place. First red flag should of been the empty restaurant on a...
Read moreI am writing this review on behalf of my father, who traveled solo though North Platte late last night. He couldn't stop raving about it!
My sister had found it and called ahead to see if they were going to be open, and when he arrived, he was greeted warmly and they even knew he was the father of the girl that called! He was seated quickly and said service was great!
He insisted on getting a large (or extra large?) 'Bossage' pizza, but personalized it by adding EVERYTHING else he liked. (His hometown calls it the 'House Special' which had several extra toppings, extra meat, extra veggies, extra cheese, etc.) The server let him know the price before ordering. He didn't mind the extra price because he had been driving all day and was starving (his words!) and he would take any leftovers on the road with him.
After he got done eating, he messaged us about how great the pizza was and how friendly the staff was. While continuing on his travels, he called me and told me ALL about it, and that he got to meet the owner, Dino, who adds his own personal 'secret recipe' of spices to the pizza sauce. He said the pizza had such a distinct flavor and that it had a little kick of Indian spices (which is part of the restaurant owner's heritage), but it wasn't overpowering and it was a great surprise.
He was excited to be able to have leftovers and told me he wished we (his kids) were there so we could try some!
He then asked me to write a review because he was so happy to have been able to go there. (He is technologically...
