We drive from Lakewood to go to Cracker Barrel 4/8/25 looking forward to a great night and a great dinner. We got there and sat down about 6:40 pm. Our server came to us and took our order. Our order consisted of my husband ordering the pork chop special and I ordered the chicken strips. She then came back and told us that they were out of the pork chops and handed my husband a menu. He was disappointed but ordered the grilled chicken with broccoli and a side salad. She left and never came back until I stopped her as she walked by if my husband could get his salad and if we could get some biscuits and cornbread about 30 minutes after we sat down. She then brought us the salad and bread and that was the last of her presence at our table. It is now about 7 pm and another girl (Brenda) tried to take my biscuit plate and I told her stop please don’t take it. She walked by and it is now about 7:20 and this other server (Brenda) tried to take my biscuit plate again, I told her stop but you can take my husband’s salad plate. Still our server has not come by to fill our water or my tea but this other server now tried to give us our bill. I said why are you giving us our bill when we haven’t even received our meal? She says you haven’t? I’m like NO! She says ok I’ll go check. She never returned…it is now 7:45 pm, so my husband goes to ask for the manager who as I could see from my vantage point was in the kitchen preparing meals. She pulls off her hairnet and comes out. My husband is talking to her letting her know that we have now been waiting for over and hour for our food. The manager tells my husband “well I just cleared all the tickets” he tells her that may be true but you haven’t cleared ours. She says “I’m sorry you feel this way” she not once says let me see what happened, or ask us what we ordered, she just stood there with no resolution. In the meantime a young couple with a 2 year old is trying to receive their meal too. We just had had enough and left. We have been to the Cracker Barrel many times. This was the worst service we ever received. We will never drive the distance we do to go to this location again. We will give the new location coming to East 40th avenue in Denver and give it a try. If not maybe, Cracker Barrel is not where we need to spend our money for dinner. So...

My family and I (5 total) chose to have lunch here on what I expected to be a busy Sunday however was seated within 10 minutes of walking in. Unfortunately, that would be the best part of our visit. It took a server 25 minutes to acknowledge us and tell us our server was new and still learning so she would help out. The girl that took our drink order got nothing right and brought three extra drinks to the table that we didn't even order. Then another wait ensued to get our order taken. After our order was taken, I observed the table in front of us get seated. We waited for 45 minutes to get our food while the table that was sat after us got their food, had eaten and was in the process of getting to-go boxes. When our food finally showed up an hour and fifteen minutes after we first sat down, two dinners were missing. We'd already waited so long that my husband and I told our kids to go ahead and eat, even though one of them was still missing a side, while their food was hot. Another 10 minutes went by and my husband's food finally showed up, but I'm still waiting. Finally, a server came to the table and told me they'd "accidentally" given my plate to another table but were working on remaking it. An hour and a half after being seated, I finally got my food and it was horrible. There was a tablespoon of green beans on the plate, a tablespoon of hashbrown casserole and two overcooked chicken breasts. It looked like it was a child's plate. My adult daughter didn't even finish her meal because her chicken was so dry. We never even saw the supposedly "new" server. This is not the first time we've been to this CB location, but it is the last. We've given it multiple chances, but this particular location appears to be struggling. I probably wouldn't have gotten so angry had we not had to sit and watch a 30-top (who was seated about 25 minutes after we were) start getting their food while we were still waiting for ours. We've never had issues with the Loveland or Colorado Springs locations, and I grew up going to Cracker Barrel, so I know what to expect. This appears to be a poorly...

What to say about our recent (the last hour and a half of our lives) experience...

We checked in for a table of 4 at 1:10pm, and were seated approximately 10 minutes later. Everything was fine at that point.

We sat at our table approximately 10 minutes before anyone said a word to us. We gave our drink and food orders all at once, because the staff looked busy and overwhelmed.

We received our iced teas approximately 5 minutes later.

We chatted patiently (knowing they were busy) for the next 35 minutes. At that time our server began handing our food out to the table across from us. The other table was confused and the confusion caused the server to pause and think through the moment... while she tried to figure out where the issue was, she dropped the tray of food on the floor. It appeared as though she still didn't understand that she dropped our food and not the other tables food. She apologized to them, and they again let her know they didn't think it was their food. She didn't say a word to us.

We are still waiting patiently at this point, now with empty drink glasses. No manager ever came out to apologize to either table about the incident, or to assure us that the food was being remade. 10 minutes later, still no communication from any staff, we received drink refills.

We patiently sat another 25 minutes, until we asked our server if our food was coming out soon. She went back to the kitchen and checked on our food. She came back to our table to inform us that "the manager chose to bump our ticket to keep ticket times low." I don't know how that made sense. All I know is that after an hour of sitting at the table, our food had still not been cooked.

Not at any point during this meal was there any communication or touch from the manager to let us know what was happening, and when the food might show up. At this point, approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes after showing up, we left. Never saw a manager.

We are currently sitting at texas roadhouse, enjoying an amazing meal. We suggest you avoid cracker barrel and...

I Ordered over easy eggs and my husband ordered over medium eggs. Whites were extremely runny in both. Waiter argued that over easy eggs meant runny yellow AND runny white. Never in my life have I had a waiter argue over how my eggs should be cooked and when I informed him that over easy meant cooked white and runny yolk, he informed me "thats not what it means here". He sent back for the eggs to be cooked. Mine came back perfect the 2nd go around. My husband's came back with completely cooked yolks. Waiter informed us he ordered them over medium well for him. What?? And my husband had ordered a big breakfast with 3 eggs and 4 sausages. When it came back out the 2nd time he only had 2 eggs and 2 sausage. So once again the Waiter went back for more and brought out another overcooked egg and 1 more sausage. Still didn't get the full meal. The Waiter was just awful. I've never NOT tipped a Waiter even if they are sub par I will tip something even if lesser than the 20%. I tipped zero this time. In full disclosure the manager did comp the meal because I complained that I didn't want to pay for the full meal for my husband because he still never got everything that was supposed to be included with his. We were more than willing to pay for everything else but the manager said no. Manager was nice enough but didn't seem overly concerned about the issue. We've been to several Cracker Barrels and never had an issue until now. (Included a picture of my husband's "over medium well done" that the waiter decided to order for him instead of just over medium like he had asked.

Let me start by saying when it was my bday, father's day, any special occasions I would pick Cracker Barrel every time. This will never happen again, I ordered the NY steak med rare with mashed potatoes w/brown gravy and Mac and cheese. ---The NY steak used to be an aged flavorful masterpiece that would please the gods ****Now it is stringy tough gross over cooked to burnt and hands down worse than my cooking ---Cracker Barrels mashed potatoes used to be so good that they literally made a brand name and sold them at stores. They used to be hand mashed. Creamy. Buttery. The standard of mashed potatoes. ****Now they are hard clumpy and covered with hardened gravy. They weren't buttered, didn't have milk added either? They had some unidentified meat in them ***(as seen in pic)*** that was a very unpleasant surprise when taking a bite. Gross. ---Mac n cheese. Another staple in the Cracker Barrel name. What more to say. Used to have a quality consistency. Great cheese to it. Would look forward to the dish. ****Now the cheese seems like a powdered base with water. They came out with a thick crust on the top layer ---Cracker Barrel used to give free biscuits and cornbread for the table ****Now they are so cheap they give two if you buy the meals over $17. Another table next to use got a full refund after the manager saw the quality of their food. Tldr; Cracker Barrel used to be the standard. Now? Chemical warfare would be better than this place.

I have been wanting to experience "Cracker Barrel" for many years but it seemed like it was too much out of the way. I was wrong! The parking lot is readily accessible and plenty of parking. We were there for breakfast. There was a ten minute wait for a table. (very busy restaurant). While we were waiting, we looked around the store. There are so many things to see. They have C. U. Buffs shirts and jerseys, along with other popular sports team's hats and shirts, they even sell sports team's wraps, they look like ponchos. This is a great place to find a gift for someone you love. Too many things to mention. They have olde fashioned candy and soda pop. (i. e. "Dad's root beer", "Bubble Up"). as well as popular candies and modern drinks. When we were called to be seated, I mentioned that this was going to be my first time here, our server said "I'm going to make sure that this is the best eating experience that you ever had",it certainly was. Our food was served very quickly and it looked quite delicious. I have difficulty digesting pork so I asked our server to omit the pork sausage, she suggested the chicken breakfast links. They were delicious. This was an extremely satisfying experience.
