The Extended Stay America Suites in Fort Lauderdale Cypress Creek is a reasonably priced, budget motel, which is its main appeal. I think the employees here try very hard to make the property comfortable and clean for guests. Unfortunately, it seems what makes the property suffer the most is the disregard from other guests who make the experience hard for other guests and staff from property damage they cause, smoking in rooms that trigger the fire alarms, and a low budget that doesn't allow for better amenities seen at more moderately priced hotels that offer slightly better service. The bed had stains and cigarette burns. The kitchen looked worn. The bathroom sink did not drain well. The TV had discoloration on one corner and had a defect in the picture on the screen. The breakfast bar was just coffee, granola bars, and muffins. The bathroom door did not lock, at all. And the water in the shower hardly ever got hot and at best was lukewarm. At other extended stay hotels like Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites by Marriott where all the utensils and kitchenware are already in the kitchen, I was shocked that the kitchen at this Extended Stay America didn't have any, but then noticed the placard/note that said you have to request them from the front desk. A minor inconvenience, but I understand the reasons why they have to do it this way if it's to prevent even more property damage by bad guests and to prevent theft. My only major complaint was I booked my stay through a 3rd party and was called by another Extended Stay America in Fort Lauderdale that I originally booked told me they were full and had to rebook me to the Andrews Ave location. I also had to pay out of pocket for my rebooked stay at this Andrews Ave location and would have to work with the 3rd party I booked with to refund me from the other Extended Stay that had to walk me due to overbooking. This of course was out of the hands of the Andrews Ave location. The staff here were very accommodating when I checked in late at night. The employees at the Cypress Creek location were very courteous and accommodating. I can tell they work very hard and try to make the property as hospitable as possible for guests, but it's unfortunate that other guests don't respect the property. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was when the fire alarm went off at 6:30am. After being woken up after checking in late the night before, I was annoyed and asked if I could checkout early because after that event, I had made a last minute booking at another hotel. The front desk did understand my concern and was able to refund me the 2 additional nights I had since I was checking out after one night and I do appreciate their flexibility. This motel is definitely more of a budget/last resort, or for people really needing to pinch pennies on their trip. A cheap, budget hotel is not for everyone, but for those who need such accomodations, it does the job. Don't expect too much, but also be lenient on the staff as they really are trying hard and do the best with what they have to work with.

NEVER AGAIN This was the absolute worst hotel experience I have ever had. I can usually provider some positive feedback but unfortunately, the only thing I can saw was that the check in girl was polite, the bath towels were white, and the water pressure was good. A really can't figure what these people are talking about with how great it is, and giving the facility as well as manager Angela 5 stars. Upon arrival the first thing we noticed was there was no checkin/guest parking. There were people just standing in the shadows, and a homeless couple was relaxing on the side. We had to leave the car on the fire lane to check in. Once we checked in, we could not find parking, there were even cars parked along the side in the fire lanes. We eventually secured parking in the overflow area, which had multiple large trucks occupying multiple spaces. Once we entered the room, we were greeted with a very unpleasant musty aroma. Everything was filthy. There were no hangers, no luggage rack, no iron, hair dryer or kitchen supplies, and inside the drawers were filthy (dirt, dead bugs, some roach droppings). This was supposed to be a fully functioning kitchen, yet in the kitchen there wasn’t even a paper towel. We walked to the office, through a walkway that reeked of weed and urine, and were provided a dish rack with 2 plates, 2 cups, 2 bowls, 2 knives, 2 forks, a pan and a pot. We asked about the coffee machine, and they “ran out”. The floor was some like a laminate – no carpet, and it was filthy… like it was never washed, maybe just vacuumed once in a while. If you picked any section of the floor and wiped it, the cloth would come back black. The entire time there we wore shoes. There was one ok pillow and two sadly thin pillows. Inspection of the bed did not reveal evidence of bugs; however, the mattress was not in a mattress cover and, of course, the mattress was stained. The sheets at least were white as was the paper-thin coverlet. The bathroom did not have a fan, which probably contributed to the smell in the room. There were 4 bath towels, a hand towel, and a washcloth. If we wanted another towel, it was a $1. As expected, the bathroom was dingy, the outlet looked like something overheated in it. At least the water pressure was good. The AC temperature settings did not work. If you wanted it to blow some cold air you had to put it to 65 and if you wanted it to stop you had to raise it to 70. You could not set it to either one (almost like you ON or OFF). I must agree with another guest's review... Think run down sketchy motel from the movies. Unfortunately, there was a major international event in the area, and there were no rooms to be found, or I would have gladly gone elsewhere. My husband took a few pictures, but believe me, they do not do the dirt justice.

ABSOLUTELY the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in 40 years. First sign of a bad experience was there was no guest check-in parking. I had to park in the 7-11 across the street in order to check-in and out. There was a parking spot with a sign that said it was for guess check-in, but it was also the handicap parking. The parking "lot" in the back of the building had only one row of parking spaces. Had to park in the overflow parking area. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the room was horrific. I even tried booking a different hotel but could not get other accommodations. The floor (no carpet) was gritty and literally dirty. Bottom of my feet were soiled with dirt when I took off my shoes. Had to wear shoes in the room the rest of the stay, even in the bathroom. Bathroom ceiling was moldy and had an inoperative exhaust fan that was half falling out. Cabinets were filthy and badly damaged. There were no dishes or other kitchenware, NOT EVEN A COFFEE POT. A note on the counter said we had to go to the front desk and ASK for the items we needed. But no coffee pots were available. Had to go to the store and buy one. UNACCEPTABLE. There was the constant smell of Skunk Marijuana coming in the room and worst outside. There were multiple individuals loitering around the building and half the small overflow parking lot was occupied by several trucks and a large limousine. The door had been kicked in sometime in the past, so the privacy lock was broken off. Holes were still on the door. WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. WILL NOT RECOMMEND.

I have stayed at this Extended Stay American on N Andrew's Ave in Oakland Park FL many times, and this time I have to say, I am highly DISAPPOINTED! I checked in on Tues, June 2nd, 2025, and then extended my stay in Thur, June 5th, 2025 for another 9 nights. I went to the office on Thursday, June 5th, and asked for a coffee pot, Fry pan, a ewg pot, colander, cooking utensils, and a toaster. I was told, that they at that time, did not have any of these items! Even tho they advertise, that they do! I was told by the girl at the front desk, that she was going to have someone bring a coffee pot and a cooking spatula from another location and I would have that day, on Thursday, June 5th! I had told the girl, ok that's fine, but seeing how Thu June 5th was my birthday, I was meeting some friends to celebrate, and that I would check with the front desk before I went out. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do that, she I went to the front desk, early on Fri morning June 6th, to inquire and to turn in dirty bath towels for clean ones. I was told to come back in a couple of hours for clean ones, I dropped the dirty ones off around 1 pm, I did however get my coffee pot, bit no spatula, I was given another plastic spoon and a slotted plastic spoon for cooking! I went back to the front desk about 3 hours later to inquire about my clean towels, I was told, that they hadn't even started washing any towels because they were waiting on laundry soap! Thankfully for me, I was off on Fri night and didn't need to shower before work, because I DIDNT HAVE ANY CLEAN TOWELS!!! I did however get clean towels about an hour later and the girl was very about it talking so long to get them! Now mind you every time I went to the front desk about these things, the girls that were working, were basically "begging ' me to go to your website and give them a " raving " review!!!! So now with all of this being said, from March until now, this is probably my worst experience staying at your hotel! And considering what I'm paying to stay here, this is totally unacceptable!! You advertise o Facebook marketplace as a " studio " apartment for like $560/month, which is absolutely bullshit! That rate is by the week!!! When I rebooked my room, on Thursday morning, June 5th, 2025, for 9 nights, it cost me $649.08 just for the room, then an additional $225 for my cat for 9 nights!!!! And between Wed June 3rd and Wed June 4th, I saw and killed like 5 friggin roaches!!! Totally unacceptable once again!!! I am totally upset and annoyed with my stay at this Extended Stay America, on N Andrew's Ave in Ft Lauderdale, that I will never stay here again! And because I didn't want to loose all that money that it cost me to stay here for 9 my nights, I would've definitely cancelled the rest of my reservation! Oh and... I only work 3 nights a week at a local bar here in town, and really can't afford to be staying here, but I have no other choice, because me and my cat are basically homeless!!! I really hope that your staff is happy in the way that they treat people that are staying here, and that y'all advertise one thing, and charge another thing!!! And yes "word of mouth" is the worst advertisement that y'all could ever receive!!! Again... I WILL NEVER STAY OR RECOMMEND THIS EXTENDED STAY AMERICA!!!! Oh and.... The countertop 2 burner stove, absolutely sucks!!! Tonight, I wanted to fry up some spam, and with the burner on high, it still took over a half hour to fry up 5 pieces of spam!!!! I am SO NOT HAPPY WITH MY STAY HERE...
